A contribuição à educação para além da publicação de textos: perspectiva histórica do trabalho da editora da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

The theme of this undergraduate thesis is the university press at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), and this thesis main goal is to portray, from its creation, the history behind Edufu, describing its trajectory to later on demonstrate how the press works when it comes to personnel, products, installations, regulations and others. Among the specific goals are the following: to demonstrate how the publishing of academic books works at UFU; to present documents that regulate its inner operations and the changes that they went through; and also to describe quantitatively the improvement of the published works throughout the years. To achieve that, a documentary research was conducted with records from the Editorial Board, resolutions from the upper boards, ordinances, internal documents from the press, among others. By doing so, the history behind a fundamental sector at UFU for recording and publishing the knowledge produced, mainly in its postgraduate programs, was reconstructed, which led to the conclusion that many of the problems that were existent at first remain unsolved, such as physical space, adequate labor, issuance of invoice etc. However, there was also improvement, and even with difficulties, the press continues to issue books. At the end, there are suggestions for further research on UFU Press, but with different approaches.

O espaço comunicativo do aposentado da UFU (2009-2014)

The population ageing arises like a change in the socioeconomic context and constitutes a relevant theme in the construction of the oldness image, as the questions about retirement. The servers, who are inside this context, may face the fear and the lack of information about their rights. And with the aim to help the workers in the transition work-retirement, to make it happen in an easy way, arises this question: Which is the best behavior to minimize the anguish purchased of retirement without a preparation for the new stage of life? In this way, the general objective is examining the communicative space of the retired importance of UFU, between 2009 and 2014, from two perspectives: the presence speeches, and the news in the social networks. This research was developed in the Pos-graduation Program in Technology, Communication and Education of Education College of Federal University of Uberlandia - main line of research in Technology and Communication Interfaces, in the subject of the cultural problems of the communicative process: media, culture and memory. This is an exploring research, with bibliographic nature, using the analysis and cultural method. This analysis is structured in the borderline of concepts like, work, oldness, quality of life and technology, based in the discussion about cultural studies. The research produces one analysis of an attendance course to prepare to retirement; argues about the question of the retired people, based in the analysis of UFU portals, and examine, from other sites, the programs and speeches, the methodologies and information concepts for the retirement preparation. The conclusion of the research identifies that: as the face to face course, as the information in the site of UFU, are not sufficient for the appreciation of the servers in the retirement process. Added to this, the university must build references that makes the retired person recognize himself as a man in the space who acted during a long period of his lifetime.

Tecnologia e comunicação nas instituições de ensino superior : o uso do SACI na UFSCar

This dissertation is a result from a bibliographic, documentary, descriptive, qualitative research, in the subject about the using of the technological tools of information at the communication in the institutions of college education. The central porpuse of the research is investigate how the Support of Sistem for an Integrated Communication (SACI in portuguese) is used at the University of São Carlos (UFSCar). This dissertation makes the assumption that SACI can serve the necessities of the most different kinds of communication inside a Federal University. Concepts as public communication, organizacional, institutional, integrated, technology and democratize of knowledge are presented. The study presents an analysis that makes a concern of many kinds of communicatiom with SACI, showing how this software handle with the communication features. Furthermore, this work brings a broad view of how the SACI is instaled and is being used in UFSCar s site. To complement this study, was made a descriptive qualitative research with Prof. PhD. Rodrigo Francisco and Master Mariana Pezzo. The methodological procedure used a crossbred treatment, using questions forms analysed with documents and books. After the data and information survey, it was established that SACI has uncountable functions that resulted in many positive amendments to management of the information of UFSCar, and for being an instrument that can be adapted according to the most different organizational needs, is indispensable to estimate the implatation of the system in others intitutions, as an example, the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), aim at improvement of the communication management in these oganizations.

Sociedade da informação e natureza: o website como espaço de informação ambiental

This paper intents to examine tne changes which are taking place in new information Technologies and communication, and think over about the discussions related to ecology and a environment, emphasizing the Website as na important instrument and a place to environment informaion. The theoretical frame of reference will subsidize the compreension of contemporaneous brand concepts as the community in network, cyberspace, new digital medias and the permanent conection, presenting the uses and the potentialities of these new informatic gadgats wich are changing, in a significative way, the life in community. The environment, in front of it‟s growing importance for the community, is seen as a social interest question, and has the aim to strengthen a development model, considering the social, economic and natural resources, aspects.

Docência universitária: utilização das TIC s no desenvolvimento da prática pedagógica

The guiding question of this research is to identify which knowledge is required for university professors on the proper use of new information technologies and communication in their classes in undergraduate courses. This study aims to systematize the main kind of knowledge required to professors in order to contribute effectively training new teachers to integrate ICT in their pedagogical practice. This is a qualitative and theoretical investigation that aims to describe the current stage ok knowing the studied subject. We studied recent researches on this theme published from 2009 and 2013, in order to identify what has been published, which are the significant findings as well what Brazilian researchers have studied and written in the late years. Research material was formed by papers, dissertations, thesis and books on this subject. Initially we analyzed the school current crisis, the relationship between society and school paradigms as well its implications. We also present the conceptions of computer in school, the teachers posture against it and the relativization of ICT\'S in the process of pedagogical change. Due to the significant role that Basic education teachers play in this process and the fact that they are not being properly trained to operate in this new context it is important to know which are the institutions that prepare these teachers as well the process of their training, their identification processes and its performance in different formats of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Brazil. So we arrived at the main point of this work that is to research, identify and systematize essential knowledge to these teachers practice in Higher Education in order to train them properly to use ICTs to improve learning process.

Mapas conceituais: tecnologia cognitiva para entendimento textual na educação de jovens e adultos

This exploratory and experimental research aims to analyze the use of Concept Maps as a Cognitive Technology for textual understanding in adult education. The research was conducted with Youth and Adult elementary school students during Portuguese language classes. To achieve this goal, the pedagogical features implemented in the study context were observed and then they were applied in 28 lessons divided into 7 study units , for two groups of 15 students classified as Control and Experimental Groups. For the first group, the classes were taught following the traditional method which was seen in the initial observations. For the Experimental Group, a methodology based on the creation of Concept Maps was developed. The teaching methodology was theoretically grounded in studies on the Theory of Meaningful Learning, Concept Maps, Textual Coherence, and Discursive Textual Analysis. To analyze the evolution in the construction of Concept Maps and textual understanding, we used Student\'s t-test, the Discursive Textual Analysis proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi, and Wordle. The data analysis showed that the Experimental Group achieved a 30% increase in the conceptual framework with a fostering in the propositional meaningful learning when compared to the Control Group. This group was also more capable to turn declarative knowledge into procedural. The Conceptual Map proved, therefore, to be a Cognitive Technology effective for increasing textual understanding in the context of the search.

Gestão em bibliotecas universitárias públicas: um enfoque tecnológico

Over the past years there have been several reflections related to rapid changes in the scientific, technological, political, educational and social areas, resulting from technological innovations. More than significant changes in the universities preconized by Cunha, in 2000, it has been experienced in this second decade of the millennium with greater intensity and speed, the reflections of conceptual and structural changes related to education, facing the new settings of the universities - and their libraries, particularly due to governmental policies of restructuring and expansion of the universities. This dissertation seeks to study, analyze and systematize the main ideas that guide and shape the management of public university libraries, specifically with regard to technological innovations. The specific objectives of this research are: contextualize public university libraries in the context of the information society and universities in the country; review the administrative practices adopted by federal public university libraries related to the adoption of TIC in their functional activities; systematize the main ideas that shape the libraries in this logic of planning and implementation of technologies; present an overview of TIC in this segment from a comparative study between the libraries system of the Federal University of Uberlândia (SISBI / UFU) and the Federal University of Santa Catarina (SiBi / UFSC); make a historical record (2009-2014) of TIC and their functionalities, implemented in these libraries and identify the challenges and opportunities to build the university library for the next years. In order to check the differences and similarities between two similar objects that differ in some aspects was adopted in this study the comparative method. This work was elaborated from four constructs / search categories, based on the theoretical basis on the management of university libraries, aiming its review, extracted from the instrument for planning and management proposed by Lubisco (2011), the issues that would likely have major impacts in the university libraries in 2010, besides the main challenges faced by these informational units (Cunha, 2000, 2010), namely: planning and evaluation; staff; users; products and services. From the results obtained was identified the evolution and adaptation of university libraries regarding the use of TIC in order to better meet the information needs of its members. Plan informational unit, view the future, set the path to achieve the proposed objectives are possibilities derived from knowledge management, which can instrumentalize managers to position the libraries in the administrative context of universities, considering their relevance and the value of their services, and not only follow the technological innovations, but having priority in the allocation of budgetary resources and to consolidate up effectively as co- responsible for the generation of process knowledge at the university.

Licenciatura em Matemática na modalidade a distância do Instituto Federal do Triângulo Mineiro : entre o pensado e o realizado

This work was developed based on research carried out on the deployment of Mathematics Degree course Distance of the Federal Institute of Miner Triangle. The study aimed to discuss the contribution of the deployment parameters and development of this course in distance teacher training that already operate or will operate in Basic Education. Among the objectives set out in this study, we sought to understand the concept of education that guides the pedagogical project of implementation of that course, delineating the profile of the student and the other agents involved in the teaching and learning process, and also analyze the process of formation which is being developed during the course and its practical implication in the constitution of teaching. The theoretical lens used to support this research are theories of Papert (2008) on the constructionist approach and the instructional approach in the use of technology for learning and Freire (2004) considerations with respect to the contrast of banking education to liberating education, attempting to understand the process of idealization and development, in deployment of the course in question. We also take as a basis the ideas of Moore andKearsley (2007) and Belloni (1999), to support distance education as a viable possibility for learning.The researchmethodologyis qualitative - exploratory and descriptive - focusing produced the kind of training in accordance with the established parameters. The instruments used in the research include document analysis, interviews and questionnaires, and data collected in the own virtual learning environment. After analysis, it was found that the deployment parameters of the course are consistent with the constructionist approach proposed by Papert (2008) and the liberating education defendedby Freire (2004) in orderto fully prepare students as responsible for their own learning. In this, it is possible for him to develop autonomy and creativity, as the teacher or tutor behaves as a mediator of learning. However, the results also showed that the proposed activities on the environment by the teachers and the way how courses are conducted not always consistent with this parameter and is necessary to review the adopted methodological process, prioritizing the construction of knowledge by students and contextualization of Mathematics in a practical and dynamic way.

Relações dialógicas no processo de educomunicação : análise em uma rede social na internet

Internet Social networks are embedded in time and academic spaces, setting up, if properly incorporated into the educational processes, as possible alternatives to dialogical interactions to the knowledge construction process. Do teachers and students meetings and interaction, in a social network on the Internet, as part of an educommunicative process, provide dialogical relations that contribute to the free construction of knowledge and reframing of these subjects? Taking into account this issue, this dissertation sought, as the main objective, to investigate and analyze the dialogical process between subjects, specially students and teachers who experience the academic world on a social networking site, taking part in a Facebook group created to provide supplementary educational activities. Besides that, this academic research specifically aimed at investigating and analyzing the dialogic process and educommunication concepts in an educational project context. It also aimed (i) to verify and analyze the possible Facebook contributions as a social networking site in the formation process, (ii) to observe the involved subjects manifestations and the possibilities for critical and collective knowledge construction; and (iii) contribute to fields of knowledge in an area where studies still show up to be quite incipient. In order to have these aims achieved, interdisciplinary literature surveys were undertaken over the area of educommunication, especially based on Soares (2011) and Schaun (2002), as well as about interactions and dialogues on the Internet social networks, supported by Recuero (2011 and 2012) and Primo (2011), both pervaded by Paulo Freire s reflections and texts (1987 and 2011). The adopted approach was qualitative and the methodological procedures were contemplated from the perspective of netnography, based essentially on Kozinets (2014) through virtual classroom observations plus focal interviews with Social Communication course professors and students - Journalism of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), participants in a project with educommunicative purposes. Analyses showed broad dialogical effervescence, both in virtual and in physical environments, which enabled the joint construction of knowledge, beyond the borders of time, space and academic spaces provoking these subjects new perspectives of themselves and of the experienced social reality.

Comunicação pública da ciência no ensino superior: diagnóstico preliminar e proposições sobre a divulgação científica na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

This research examined the public communication of science in higher education, specifically in the Federal University of Uberlândia. The work of the corpus consist with literature review on public communication policies, communication plan, information and communication flows, public communication in HEIs, scientific communication in HEIs, observation group of the university, research sites and documents institution, interview with the rector of the institution and director of the communication department. From all this data collected, it was possible to verify that the Federal University of Uberlândia practice public communication of science, as proposed by the literature and its experts. The results showed that there are many problems in information flows at the University and this should be improved to, in fact, communication is practiced as they say theories, in order to achieve results through communication. There have been some proposals to improve these flows and presented a process flow diagram for a better quality of public communication in development processes of science.

Memórias de mulheres: livro-reportagem com perfis biográficos de femininos múltiplos

This paper reports the process to produce the non-fiction book Women\'s Memories: biographical profiles of multiple feminine. It begins with the following problem: how the female protagonism is constructed throughout history? It presents as epistemological reference the historical materialism and as the theoretical reference the British cultural studies. It adopts gender as a category of analysis and reviews the literature about feminism and women\'s history, especially in relation to education, communication and technology. The methodology includes techniques of oral history to research the memories of sources and literary journalism to write the book. Four women with different characteristics and life trajectories are interviewed: Zélia, 54 years old, victim of various forms of violence who held herself and her daughters through hard manual work; Bruna, 20 years old, student and feminist activist of the Slut Walk; Beatriz, 62 years old, teacher who is scared about the retirement, which chose not to marry or have children and keeps dating for 32 years; Carol, 31 years old, who was adopted as a child, priestess who worships the Goddess and the sacred feminine. The narrative of the four profiles is permeated by a fifth self-reflexive narrative of the author. It concludes that the protagonism of women is built through a multiple feminine.

Repórter triângulo : proposta de um canal de grandes reportagens para a mídia regional

The increase in the using and the decrease in the price in Brazil s broadband allowed the use of a wide range of resources and technical supports in the internet by the media. Experiences with new multimedia narratives to create deep reports using videos, photos and infographic means, besides the text, are became more popular in the news portals around the country and the globe. In other hand, in the local sites, this Journalism approach still rare. To try to use this market share, this project has the objective of developing a journalist site to publish of deep articles of local and regional issues. The result is the Reporter Triangle website, for which it was produced a special report about housing in the city of Uberlandia MG.

Vai entender : uma proposta de produto transmídia sob a perspectiva do jornalismo participativo nas tvs regionais

This report seeks to reflect on the challenges of building a transmedia narrative from participatory journalism proposal on television. It presents some notes about this new reality that is giving new meaning to the look of the viewer on the TV news. The reflection is based on bibliographic and documentary research on the subject, in addition to drawing up a proposal for structuring represented by flowchart that guided the production of audiovisual content for TV and web, discussing the issue of formatting a program along the lines flagged.

O ciberespaço como fonte de informação jornalística: proposta de criação do e-book e-pauta para uso por estudantes, docentes e profissionais

This report entitled \"Cyberspace as a source of journalistic information: creation of the proposed e-book E-Tariff for use by students, teachers and professionals\" whose fundamental objective to present the e-book E-Tariff; a collaborative work, in which the views of readers helps in the book building. From this function, this product intends subscribe and propose, deductively, reflections, discussions and possible ways in order to encourage the use of the Internet as a more reliable pillar, secure and at the same time, practical and comprehensive for the journalist, teacher and student of Journalism. The methodology was qualitative approach procedure which constituted the case study that, according to what was discussed, the research also obtained descriptive and exploratory, in a deductive context by the researcher. There was a survey by consulting with twenty questions seeking to know how these professionals and news organizations in which they work using the Internet in their day to day in the newsroom, to be contextualized theories and data presented throughout this report. The e-book produced for this study is hosted in a hot site and have interactive content, growing and requires participation to continue his career. In referring to the question of cyberspace as a source of news and educational information, is part of the bulge of the media process issues such as ethics, credibility, influence, public and social interests, responsible communication and message quality.

Proposta de produto informativo sobre o manejo de resíduos sólidos de saúde no Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia

The waste of health services (WHS) is a central question, awakens the interest due to damage that may to the cause public health and the environment. This report presents the diagnosis of the management of WHS by analysis and efficiency of the Plan about Management of Waste of Health Services - (MPHSW) of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Uberlandia - (HCU), shows the result of the investigation about he resours that have generated potential problems with the management of the WHS, and shows the proposals of implementing the product in the institution, as well as bring data about the product. In Brazil, between the years 2009 to 2013, the available databases record, the production of 183.5 thousand (t) /day of WHS (ANVISA 2010). In Uberlandia, 1.69T/day of RSS is produced in the HCU. The paper has as the main gool guidelines expected in the plan, in order to provide guidance on the proper disposal of each residue. The research has purpose applied, objective exploratory and descriptive, documental procedure of nature qualitative quantitative, and on-site observation. Therefore, the study of the management of WHS, is relevant, because promote the knowledge of the variables that has provoked the not effectiveness of this management tool, allowing to establish prevention measures and control of the events that predispose those occurrences.

Os saberes necessários à formação para docência na educação infantil e nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental na concepção do curso de Pedagogia a distância da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

This present dissertation talk over the context of the Teachers Education of the Pedagogy Distance Course of 2009, at Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU), from analyses realized the Pedagogical Project of the course and in the evaluations realize by the Ministry of Education and by the students. For this, the main purpose of this research was study, identify, analyze and systematize the knowledge of the teacher of children education and the early years of the elementary school which were developed in the Distance Pedagogy Course of UFU. Therefore, were realized some considerations about the way the education occurs in the distance model, since it is about a formation in which the professional of education must have solid bases about his behavior and practices in the classroom. To base these perceptions there were analyzed the studies about the professor knowledge of Tardif (2014), Costa (2012), Gomes; Reis (2015), and Formosinho (2011). In addition, to explain the process of the distance formation were considered the studies of Moore; Kearsley (2007 and 2013) and Moran; Mazetto; Behrens (2008).This study was supported by the qualitative approach of research and choose as procedures of research, the bibliographic research in a first stage, which enabled an intense theoretical background about the necessary knowledge to the educational formation, about the process of the constitution of the pedagogy course and about the distance education and its history context. After this, it was based by the documental research to support a data construction, having as documents, the pedagogical project of the distance course of pedagogy of the Federal University of Uberlandia, laws, decrees, ordinances and evaluations of the Ministry of Education and the students. The assessments and analyses realized in the documents indicated that were considered the necessary knowledge to the formation of the teacher in the Distance Course of Pedagogy of this University. In addition, the course had its practice supported for the current needs of the distance education and the students had a consistent formation with the practice which will execute enabling a more assertive, cooperative, socio-educational, intervention in the children education and the early years of elementary school.

Educação Física e suas concepções críticas: proposta de um portal eletrônico na área de Educação Física escolar

This paper consists of a technical report developed in order to propose and present the proposal of a product, as requirements for obtaining a master\'s degree in Technology, Education and Communication. The developed product is an electronic portal called Portal Physical Education and their Conceptions Reviews. In this sense, the objective of this paper is to present the said portal, which aims to offer content and reflective readings and critiques about school physical education setting. To achieve the proposed objective, it conducted a theoretical survey, which sought to make a rescue about aspects related to work, with approaches to Education and Physical Education. Then the development of the product was presented in its technical aspects and implementation, to finally make a discussion about the inferences of a website, the search for a critical Physical Education. About the work environment, was based on Marx, to explain about the class struggle in the possibility of considering the dialogue and the search for ways to overcome an estranged work and oblivious to the concerns of the working class. Such a framework approach of the proposal of a physical education that values by focusing on the student as the subject of its transformation and permanent construction world. In this sense, Physical Education, in its historical and critical perspective, gives subsidies in the historical and cultural background of the student, which culminates in an awareness-and critical practice. As a result, it became possible to rethink the year to appropriate the studies of physical education broadly and with possibility of criticism, as is the purpose of the portal. Thus structuring an electronic portal to the organization and presentation of texts, educational materials, discussion spaces and references to scientific production, in addition to a specific glossary of school physical education, promotes a new space in which professionals, teachers, academics and other interested parties in the subject, can meet, get readings, reflections and hence subsidies for understanding the physical education far beyond a curricular component, but in its essence.

Crises de imagem na mídia proposta de guia de prevenção e análise para agentes políticos

It is common for political crises to concern only when they are already installed or in the process of being exposed, causing reactive actions of limited consequences. The actual increasing occurrence of cases tends to become a self-reproductive process, with focus and media attention, leading to reduced social trust, in which the legitimacy of institutions and politicians depends on. Besides creating a skepticism\'s environment in public opinion, it exacerbates the weakness climate of representative democracy. Despite the great crises amount of several kinds involving politicians in the history, there is a shortage literature on this subject, especially with regard of analytical and practical way that aims to mitigate and even avoid such situations. Against this backdrop, the present work is related, in order to provide the society, especially on the political and political and communication\'s professionals, knowledge and information to be used in real cases, through an implementation plan, in practical guide format that collaborate with the social dynamics on the atypical emotional environment of the crises\'s image. With the special purpose of promoting the prevention of attitude so that crises do not occur; and, if in case of them to be inevitable, to have the least impact as possible on the political agent image and at the institution which can be related on, it is used throughout the text several examples to provide various application possibilities in various possible occurrence\'s types. Within the functional aspect of the proposal, the phases are shown to be overcome in crisis management planning, together with analytical factors to be raised, as instruments of prevention and analysis of politicians crisis image in the media. To become able the stability of democratic system with behavior changing of its actors, with respect to zeal for the reputation and consequently making practice and cultivation of positive social values. Paths that can be covered to assist in sustaining the confidence of political leadership, mandates and governments.

Configurações de educação a distância: um estudo sobre os marcos e fatores

Distance education has experienced a huge grown in recent years, either by technological advance, either by an idealized form of education access democratization. In spite of the substantial growth, there are many issues regarding the teaching-learning process by distance education. The main objective of this work is to make a literature review of key points that should be addressed for the educational concepts in the distance distance education process. In order to achieve this goal, it became necessary to establish specific objectives to answer questions which orientate the work development, namely: a) the legal basis of distance education in Brazil; b) the terminology and theoretical framework aspects of distance education; c) the analyzes of the aspects that define a distance education model. To meet these objectives, this work consists of an introduction, two chapters and the final remarks. In chapter 2, for the revision of concepts in distance education were taken in addition to the current legislation, studies of Belloni (2001, 2002); Bévort and Belloni (2009); Maia and Mattar (2007); Rosini (2007); Oliveira (2014); Saviani (2007); Moran (2002); Moore and Kearsley (2007) and Preti (2002). In Chapter 3, we carry out a literature review about the aspects that define a distance education model. The aspects taken in account were those considered the most relevant and which constitute the forefront of DE thinking. They were policies, guidelines, parameters and quality standards defined for each educational level and the specific course. Thus we discussed information and communication technologies; autonomy and interaction; teacher and tutor and teaching and learning. In the final remarks, we synthesized the analyses performed during this study.
