A constituição da Frente de Libertação Nacional da Córsega e o uso da propaganda armada
The author hold as their starting point the principle that violence is associated with violation of order, and they analyze the codes of mutual exchange found in group behavior. The authors exam the libertarianpolitical environment that carry youngsters to violence by means of illegal practices, having as reference the role of Corsica’s National Liberation Front. They hold that the theoretical stimulating challenge to be found within an active sociology consists in one understanding the logic of organized action in a complex web of meaningful relationships that will thus rearticulate both individual experience and society.

Uniqueness conditions for constrained three-way factor decompositions with linearly dependent loadings
In this paper, we derive uniqueness conditions for a constrained version of the Parallel Factor (Parafac) decomposition, also known as Canonical decomposition (Candecomp). Candecomp/Parafac (CP) decomposes a three-way array into a prespeci ed number of outer product arrays. The constraint is that some vectors forming the outer product arrays are linearly dependent according to a prespeci ed pattern. This is known as the PARALIND family of models. An important subclass is where some vectors forming the outer product arrays are repeated according to a prespeci ed pattern. These are known as CONFAC decompositions. We discuss the relation between PARALIND, CONFAC and the three-way decompositions CP, Tucker3, and the decomposition in block terms. We provide both essential uniqueness conditions and partial uniqueness conditions for PARALIND and CONFAC, and discuss the relation with uniqueness of constrained Tucker3 models and the block decomposition in rank-(L; L; 1) terms. Our results are demonstrated by means of examples.

Resposta dinâmica de camadas magnéticas acopladas
We study the dynamical behavior of systems constituted of two coupled magnetic lms. We consider that the coupling of the lms can be represented by an interaction like Heisenberg to have the magnetic susceptibility of each medium, taking into account the presence of interface e ect and the neighboring layer. Through the calculation of the magnetization of the system, we found an expression for the susceptibility of the coupled system, which can be understood as a weighed mean of the susceptibility of the media that compose the system. Our results can be used to have the dynamic behavior of any magnetic bilayer. We use the result to calculate the dispersion relation of polaritons propagating in a magnetic bilayer consisting of an antiferromagnetic layer grown in direct contact with a ferromagnetic lm. Numerical results were obtained for a system where the antiferromagnetic material is MnF2 and the ferromagnetic is Fe. The results of the dispersion relation are con rmed through the calculation of the re ectivity of a Attenuated Total Re exion (ATR) experiment.

Taxa de pobreza no Estado do Ceará: uma análise no período de 1981 a 2007
The objective of this study is to verifity what factor (index of economic growth or index of income inequality) the best index of the poverty in the Ceará States. For this, it was used given of secular series of Headcount (Po), Gini Index and per capita average income who understand the period of 1981 the 2007, beyond the ordinary least squares (OLS) for the esteem of the elasticities, the model of autoregressive vectors (VAR) and of the variance decomposition analysis. The results showed that in relation to the elasticities how much in the analysis of variance decomposition that the poverty in the Northeast Region is explained by the proper poverty in the states, but the inequality of income in these states also influences this existing poverty in the region. This implies that combat politics the income inequality are more efficient in the reduction of the poverty of what politics of increase of the income.

Ondas de spin em sistemas magnéticos bidimensionais com interação de troca aleatória
Spin waves are collective excitations that occur in magnetic materials. In the ferromagnetic case, these collective excitations are the motion in phase of the spin precession in a magnetic crystal lattice, representing a magnetic crystal. This precession is caused by disturbances in the magnetic system under study, for example, a small change in temperature causes variation in the number of precessions system. This variation in temperature causes the precession of a magnetic dipole moment of which interacts with its neighbors, leading to a spread of the disturbance. This disturbance has wave character, and the same intensity for different neighbors next. These waves of spin can be observed by some experimental methods, such as: the inelastic neutron scattering, inelastic scattering of light including Raman and Brillouin scattering, to name a few. The importance of spin waves emerges clearly when magnetoelectronic devices are operated at high frequencies. This situation, the generation of spin waves can sing in a significant loss of energy of these systems, because the excitation of such waves consumes a small part of the energy of the system. Therefore, the generation of spin wave limits the width of line and the power factor, or quality, Q, of some microwave devices. Due to the application technologic, is major study spin waves in magnetics multilayer systems and systems of low dimensionality, because these systems are candidates for obtaining new electronic systems. Our goal here is to study the behavior of the spin waves in two-dimensional systems where the exchange interactions are random. Random exchange interactions imply that the resistance that the system requires changing the orientation of their magnetic dipole moments of are not the same line by line in the environment under study. The system is model by Heisenberg Hamiltonian where the spin operators are treated at low temperatures using the transformations of Holstein-Primakoff. We observed that the spectrum of spin waves changes significantly when compared to that without the random disturbance.

Os paradoxos da educação: uma reflexão crítica sobre a escola e a sociedade
Low educational levels, high taxes of students that drop out of school or fail to succeed, and difficulties to get the first job constrain Portugal to a particularly unfavorable stand when one contrasts those data to other countries’ that are our partners in the European Union. Causes are many and have been amply discussed, and it known today that they are not a sole outcome from shortcomings of institutions that are entrusted with the development of youngsters such as schools, community, hiring businesses or promoters of leisure activities, but rather all of them together. With this intervention one seeks to address some issues considering the agent behind educational processes, specifically those issues related to the environment where they are engendered.

Representações portuguesas e brasileiras da identidade nacional portuguesa no século XX
The article evaluates racial and non-racial interpretations related to Portuguese national identity in the twenty century, considering their intersections with official state nationalism. The article is based on the work of four intellectuals, both Portuguese and Brazilian, who exerted a major influence on representations about Portuguese national identity: Mendes Correia, Gilberto Freyre, Sérgio Buarque de Hollanda and Jorge Dias. Investigations about these works highlight relations, affinities and confrontation between texts and their authors, revealing not only changes seen within the intellectual field, but also developments in the definition of official nationalism. The analysis buildup took into consideration not only the context for production of the works but also their distinctive forms of receptivity.

Valoração econômica de bens ambientais: um suporte à formulação de políticas públicas para o turismo em áreas naturais
The determination of economic values on the environment, in particular landscapes and other touristic environmental sites, which constitute reason for public visitation is crucial for the sustainable development of the tourism. Therefore, this study aims at briefly describing the environmental values and to point out the ways in which those values may be used for the conservation of environmental resources that are exploited as touristic activity. It may be concluded that the economic valuation of environmental goods is of fundamental importance for the accurate elaboration of planning, as well as the carrying out of touristic projects. Furthermore, it is fundamental for providing subsidies for the agencies responsible for the elaboration and implementation of politics aimin gat the conservation of such resources, particularly for the estimation of fees and other types of punishment for hazards caused to environmental resources.

Confinamento em fios quânticos semicondutores
Advances in growth techniques have made possible the fabrication of one-dimensional semiconductor nanometric structures, named quantum wires. There has ben an increasing interest in such structures, due to their applicability in electronic devices and also because their chemistry is easily manipulated. In particular, experimental works have reported the growth of core-shell quantum wires and semiconductor wires with longitudinal heterostructures. In this work, the excitonic properties of cylindrical Si/Si1¡xGex core-shell quantum wires are studied, considering two possibilities for the conduction band alignment: type-I, where electrons and holes are confined at the same material, and type-II, where these carriers are spatially separated. We use a Hamiltonian which takes into account the existence of non-abrupt interfaces between materials. For type-I, it is observed that the exciton energy is weakly affected by the presence of a magnetic field, especially for smaller wire radii. For type-II structures, increasing the magnetic field intensity leads to almost periodic changes on the electron angular momentum, which yields to Aharonov-Bohm oscillations on the exciton energy. We also investigate theoretically how the existence of graded interfaces may affect the confinement of carriers in cylindrical GaAs/GaP and InAs/InP quantum wires with single heterostructures along the wire axis. Numerical results show that, when abrupt interfaces are considered, as the wire radius becomes thinner the effective potential acting on a carrier might induce its longitudinal localization at the barriers. However, considering smooth interfaces, this effective potential acquires a peculiar form, in which electron and hole states may be confined inside traps formed at the interfacial regions.
Dinâmica de pacotes de onda em semicondutores e grafeno e de vórtices em supercondutores
This work has two parts. In the first one, we analyze the time evolution of wave packets in low dimensional systems. The time dependent Schrödinger equation is solved by means of the split-operator technique, which is easy to be computationally implemented and expanded to systems with more dimensions. We calculate the eigenstates and time evolution of wave packets in T-wires and quantum rings with injection channels. In the presence of an external magnetic field, the Aharonov-Bohm oscillations in the transmission and reflection coeficients of the quantum ring are verified. By analyzing the projections of the transmitted wave function on the subbands of the quantum wells describing the injection channels, we observe that the incoming and outgoing wave functions are in the same subband, although the other subband states can be accessed inside the ring region. The presence of a magnetic field induces a phase shift on these projections, which can be used for tunning the subband of the outgoing wave function. A similar effect can also be obtained by considering an asymmetric ring potential. We have also derived a variant of the split-operator method that allows one to deal with Zeeman and spin-orbit Hamiltonians. We verify that the results obtained by the method we developed are in good agreement with the analytical results for the Zeeman effect in semiconductor quantum dots. We have also adapted the split-operator method to the study of graphene-based systems, within the tight-binding and continuum (Dirac) models. First, we briefly analyze the eigenstates of graphene quantum rings, comparing the results obtained by each model. Further, we verify the existence of a trembling motion of the wave function in graphene (zitterbewegung). We observe that in the presence of a magnetic field, the zitterbewegung becomes permanent. Besides, we demonstrate that the presence of an energy gap due to a substrate-induced potential may intensify the oscillations. In both cases, the experimental detection of this effect would be improved. We also demonstrate that the effect of strain on the electrons behavior in graphene is similar to that of a pseudo-magnetic field, capable of reproducing all the features related to an external field, such as the Landau levels and the persistent zitterbewegung. Moreover, we demonstrate how such strain effects can be used to produce valley filtering in graphene. In the presence of electrostatic potential barriers, we study two interesting effects in graphene monolayers: the Klein paradox and the Snell law for the electron tunneling. In the second part of this thesis, we calculate the interaction potential between vortices in bulk superconductors within the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory, which is of importance for future vortex dynamics studies. We derived a set of coupled differential equations for both the vector potential and the order parameter, considering a number of fixed vortices positioned in chosen points of a plane as a constraint, where the merger of vortices into a giant-vortex is naturally allowed. We have obtained the interaction potentials between a vortex and another vortex, a giant-vortex and an antivortex, for both type-I and type-II cases. Our numerical results exhibit good agreement with the analytical expressions for larger vortex-vortex separations available in previous work in the literature. We propose new (empirical) expressions valid for any interaction distance, which are fitted to our numerical data for several values of the GL parameter. Further, using the same numerical and analytical methods described in details for single-band superconductors, we demonstrate and discuss the complexity of the resulting behavior of two Cooper pairs condensates in two-band superconductors. The properties of the coupled system depend on those of each band in a non-trivial way, and their behavior might be not only different, but even opposite to the one of the individual condensates. Therefore, we discuss the possibility of tunning this behavior as a function of the microscopical parameters and temperature, which is of relevance for the understanding of the properties of recently studied materials, such as MgB2 and the iron pnictides, of nanoscale superconductors, as well as of the futuristic artificial composites.

A metrópole híbrida:o papel do turismo no processo de urbanização da Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza
This research investigates the role of tourism in the contemporary process of urbanization of Fortaleza Metropolitan Region, Ceará, Brazil, based on a comparative analysis between the process of production and consumption of space related to the industrial logic and to tourism. Based on the dialectical relationship between space and society, it presents the specific features of the uneven urbanization process occurred in the past, premise for understanding the impacts of socio-spatial tourism of sun and sea modality on the metropolitan territory. The relevance of the research is grounded in the need to question the role played by the State the inclusion of tourism, through public policies, actions and speeches, as a strategic activity in the process of social restructuring (economical, political and cultural-ideological) of Ceará, with the objective to include in the pattern of globalized production and consumption, reproducing the hegemonic interests and reflecting on new patterns of socio-spatial inequalities. The method is based on theoretical propositions, images and quantitative data to evaluate the peculiarities of tourism urbanization in Fortaleza Metropolitan Region, analyzing the process of structuring and metropolitan expansion, as well as the precarious urbanization caused by tourism; infrastructure interventions; impacts on the coast of Fortaleza and its metropolitan area; urban interventions through urban design and architecture and its relation to the construction of the tourist image of Fortaleza; the links between tourism and real estate market and the urban phenomenon of second home; spatial manifestations of the means of accommodation, especially resorts; and the relationship between tourism and environmental preservation. Although it has risen as the central hypothesis that the spatial changes triggered by social practices (economical, political and cultural-ideological) of tourism, were the hegemonic factor of recent urbanization of Fortaleza Metropolitan Region, it was concluded that old and new social dynamics (industrial, tertiary, real estate) contribute to this reality, when associated with tourism, it exacerbates the process of socio-spatial segregation and justifies the hybrid character of the contemporary process of “metropolization” of Fortaleza

Fatores Socioeconômicos, Demográficos, Fatores Socioeconômicos, Demográficos, regionais e comportamentais que influenciam no conhecimento sobre HIV / AIDS
This article aimed to describe the profile of Brazilian Society with respect to its acquired knowledge about HIV/AIDS. This way, it identified how socioeconomic, demographic, behavioral, and location factors affect the level of knowledge of people about the ways of transmission of the HIV, following the information extracted from the survey: “Sexual Behavior of the Brazilian Population and Perceptions of HIV/AIDS”. The identification of groups exposed to the lack of knowledge is an important factor to identify potential risk groups, which could be targeted in more effective prevention campaigns. Ordered Logit Models were used in the empirical analysis given that the index of knowledge provided by the survey was ordered in an asymmetric way. It was verified that the “poverting” process of AIDS could be affected by the different levels of knowledge among groups, favoring those with better education and social level. Moreover, the Northeast region presented the lowest level of knowledge, what transcribe regionally the process mentioned above. Finally, a better knowledge about AIDS is found among heterosexual women than among either heterosexual men or homosexual/bi. A possible mismatch between quality information and potential risk groups raises doubts about the effectiveness of generalized prevention campaigns. Although the media effect was statistically significant, especially through radio and TV, it was of reduced magnitude.
