Diagnóstico do manejo e ocorrência de plantas daninhas em arroz irrigado no sul do Brasil

The monoculture of the Clearfield® rice system, associated with the exclusive use of herbicides from the chemical group of imidazolinones, for the management of weeds, is not a sustainable strategy, since there has been an increase in the number of cases of resistance in areas of cultivation with irrigated rice in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). In this sense, the objectives of this work were to relate the weed management practices that most interfere in grain yield (Article I), as well as to carry out a phytosociological survey of this type of plants in irrigated rice production areas in the state of RS (Article II). To this end, two studies were carried out between the years 2018 and 2019. In the study of article I, a survey was applied to 324 farmers, an instrument that provided information on the history of weed management, as well as on grain yield from their crops, located in 57 municipalities belonging to the six rice regions of the State. In the case of article II, a phytosociological survey was carried out, through the collection of soil samples in 36 farms with the cultivation of irrigated rice in the Clearfield® system, in 16 municipalities in RS. These samples were placed in polyethylene trays and arranged in a greenhouse, in order to promote the emergence of weeds, which were quantified and identified at the gender level and, subsequently, a descriptive analysis of the phytosociological parameters was performed. The answers to the survey indicate that Oryza sativa and Echinochloa spp are the most important weeds in irrigated rice crops, and the main reasons for the low control efficiency in these areas are the advanced stage of weeds and the inadequate environmental conditions. farmers who adopt crop rotation, mixing and herbicide rotation, as specific management practices, for the control of resistant weeds, obtain higher grain yields. Still, the use of pre-emergent herbicides, associated with needle-point glyphosate resulted in higher grain yield values (Article I). In the case of areas with irrigated rice cultivation in the Clearfield® system, a high weed diversity and distribution can be observed. In these places, genera Cyperus, Echinochloa, Oryza and Lolium presented the highest importance value indexes. Weed species of the Cyperus genus stand out from the others, since they have higher values for relative frequency, density and abundance, as well as a high importance value index (Article II). Thus, it was observed, with the research, that the knowledge of the agronomic practices carried out by the producers, as well as the identification of the main weed species of greater occurrence, is of fundamental importance for the recommendations of integrated measures of weed management to be efficient. , less costly and sustainable, so that they can be adopted in cultivation areas. With this, it is possible to reduce production costs and increase productivity, in order to ensure greater profitability for the irrigated rice farmer.

Panorama do PRONAF nas mesorregiões do Rio Grande do Sul: análise no período de 2005 a 2015

This paper aimed to analyze the impact of the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (PRONAF) in Rio Grande do Sul state, from the perspective of its mesorregions. To do so, it was evaluated whether resources from PRONAF contribute to the improvement of FIRJAN Index of City Development (IFDM), wheter these reseources impact on the poverty reduction through the number of families written in the Unified Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) and whether they have been directed to the poorer regions of the state when related to the municipal Gross Product and the the Regional Credit Index. The data were obtained, segmented by municipalities, from the Brazilian Institute of Geographic Statistics (IBGE) – population, the municipal gross product per capita, the agricultural gross product per capita, from the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) – IFDM, from the Ministry of Social Development – number of families registered in CadÚnico – and from the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) – monetary values of the program financing. These data comprised the period from 2005 to 2015. For the data analysis, it was used descriptive statistics techniques to describe the evolution of PRONAF credit and development indicators, mean difference tests for analysis of differences according to mesorregions and panel data analysis by the Driscoll-Kraay technique in order to estimate the program impact on indicators. The results showed that, in most municipalities, the credit is larger than their gross products and agricultural gross products and that the most assisted mesorregion is the northwestern one and the least assisted is the metropolitan one. They also demonstrated that PRONAF reaches the poorest municipalities, contributes to the IFDM improvement and the poverty reduction, although mildly.

A gestão estratégica de pessoas em uma universidade pública: o estudo de caso da Universidade Federal do Pampa

The present work has as its theme the strategic management of people in a public university, the case study of the Federal University of Pampa. A case study was carried out with a qualitative approach, in which was analyzed the data collected from a semi-structured questionnaire with open-ended and closed-ended questions applied via Google Forms in the second week of July 2021. The study had 12 participants working in the People Management area at Unipampa. The general objective of this research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of Strategic People Management at the Federal University of Pampa from the perception of public servants. The specific objectives aim to map the strategic alignment points in the strategic management practices of people at Unipampa, in addition to identifying aspects in convergence with the purposes of the strategic planning of people at UNIPAMPA. The results obtained from the case study showed indications of potential adjustments in the people management system within the Unipampa campuses. Evidences were identified that point towards the lack of alignment between the perception of public servants and the objectives projected in Unipampa's Institutional Development Plan. Finally, the present research keeps the theme open, proposing that, in the future, a new research is carried out with the purpose of updating or contextualizing the points that were discussed here. It is also proposed to carry out a new case study, with the purpose of creating a program to improve the development of activities in the people management sector within the scope of Unipampa.

As práticas integrativas complementares em saúde como dispositivo de promoção da saúde no trabalho: uma proposta de intervenção na Universidade Federal Fronteira Sul

Complementary Integrative Practices (CIPs) are preventive therapeutic resources and health promotion that aim to stimulate the body's natural mechanisms (DACAL, SILVA, 2018). This study aims to propose an Action Plan based on CIPs at Universidade Federal Fronteira Sul (UFFS), with a view to generating health promotion for servers. It also seeks to contribute to the prevention of absenteeism and the prevention of diseases related to the exercise of laboral activities. It is a research that used the explanatory sequential mixed method, this approach uses an expanded methodology that interconnects the quantitative and qualitative approaches. The first stage of the research was quantitative, through an online questionnaire to servers with active institutional e-mail, which was answered by 309 servers. The second stage was qualitative, through a Focus Group (FG) formed from the servers who participated in the first stage and who chose to participate in the FG and the information was collected through semi-structured questions. For the analysis of the FG data, thematic content analysis proposed by Minayo (2010) was used. The analysis of quantitative data was performed using simple statistics and later joined to qualitative data, which formed the set that revealed three categories of thematic analysis which were named: a) Knowledge, interest and access of servers to CIPs; b) Promotion of health the individual as an active agent of his/her health; and c) Continuous availability of CIPs in the work environment. The set of quantitative and qualitative analyzes revealed that among the most known CIPs among the servers of the total of 309 respondents, 72.5% reported that they know some CIPs, with Reiki being the most cited, with 24.0%. These categories also showed that, in general, the servers know several of the CIPs contained in the National Policy for Complementary Integrative Practices (NPCIP). They also reveal the interest of the servers in relation to the theme of CIPs, with 96% of the servers expressing themselves in favor of the implementation of CIPs in the work environment at UFFS. Also, they indicated that the servers consider the CIPs as a health promotion instrument, which is the main reason for their use. It showed that servers would incorporate CIPs into their routine if they had easier access. Based on the results of this study, a final product was proposed and prepared, which will be delivered to the Directorate of Attention to Server Health (DASS), containing an Action Plan on CIPs to offer CIPs to servers and also suggestions for possible expansions of this plan, which have the potential for future realization at UFFS, in order to provide information and assist in the formulation of actions aimed at promoting health, improving the quality of life, well-being and satisfaction of UFFS servers. These results allow us to conclude that the servers are interested in the CIPs being implemented at UFFS. Thus, the interest of management in the inclusion of these practices with the objective of promoting the health of the servers and preventing absenteeism becomes fundamental.

Estudo de plantas alimentícias não convencionais e aplicação em produtos lácteos

Functional foods are found in virtually all food categories, however these products are not homogeneously spread across all segments of the market. As an ingredient used in formulations of functional foods, the so-called prebiotics, which according to Brazilian legislation are defined as any nondigestible food ingredient that beneficially affects the organism by selectively stimulating the growth and / or activity of colon bacteria, stand out. Many ingredients have been studied for their application as prebiotics in foods, among them the vegetables Helianthus tuberosus L., Moringa oleifera and Pereskia aculeata Mill. These vegetables are still little studied as a prebiotic ingredient and present great potential to perform such function. Thus, the present project aimed at the development of a symbiotic yogurt using the vegetable with higher inulin content as a prebiotic source. The developed yoghurts were evaluated as to their functional properties by in vitro and in vivo tests. Analyzes for physico-chemical characterization of products as well as microbiological and shelf life evaluation will also be performed. The average results of the physicochemical characterization of the flour of Pereskia aculeata Mill, Moringa oleifera and Helianthus tuberosus were: moisture (0.88, 0.88 and 0.86 g, 100 g -1), ashes (16,34,7, 75 and 5.07 g 100 g -1), lipids (3.27, 5.57 and 0.48 g 100 g -1), proteins (22.41, 24.79 and 6.53 g 100 g -1 ), carbohydrates (1.71, 13.83 and 67.38 g 100 g-1) and dietary fiber (55.39, 48.21 and 19.68 g 100 g-1), in relation to the mineral composition flours evaluated are considered mineral sources, being the tupinambor flour source of Ca and Mg, the flour of ora-pro-nobis of P, Ca and Mg and the moringa flour of Ca and P. When evaluating the chromatographic profile of sugars Helianthus tuberosus flour, we identified the inulin with 44.44% and when we used this flour as a prebiotic ingredient in symbiotic igurte we obtained a preferred formulation (F1), these yoghurts remained stable in the 30 days shelf life, in relation to the acidity, pH and bacterial counts. This preferred formulation was inserted into the feed of New Zealand white rabbits exerting symbiotic potential through serological evaluation and cecal microbiology, with lower levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose in the animals that consumed the symbiotic product when compared to the control. The development of new products that provide some health benefit in addition to being economically feasible is increasingly investigated by food industries and researchers in the area, such as Helianthus tuberosus, Moringa oleifera and Pereskia aculeata Mill. can stand out as important functional ingredients, and Helianthus tuberosus L. stands out as a prebiotic ingredient for the food industry.
