In February 2020, Brazil was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the aggravation of the disease, containment measures were implemented, which included social distancing and isolation. As a result, the effects of the pandemic on the mental health of the population were profound and could become even worse. There were studies linking depression and other serious psychopathologies with suicide in several cases during the pandemic, and there were suggestions that suicide rates would increase, and become an imminent concern as the pandemic spreads and its effects would be felt by the population. Therefore, the objective of this study was to understand the impacts of the pandemic on the perception of subjects with severe psychopathological symptoms and suicidal behavior. This is an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative study. The inclusion criteria were: Being over 18 years of age, presenting a clinical diagnosis for depression, affective mood disorder, schizophrenia, mixed anxiety and depressive disorder, and suicidal behavior. The exclusion criterion used consisted of presenting psychic fragility to respond to the interview. Twelve people participated, of both sexes, from Agudo, RS. The study took place through a semistructured interview held in December 2021. The results found showed greater damage to mental health and risk of life in four participants, compared to the others. The associated factors in these cases were related to the individual history, and the sum of others generated by the pandemic, such as isolation, distancing, changes in roles, and mainly due to the interruption of psychological and psychiatric treatments. Finally, as a prevention strategy, a booklet of recommendations for health professionals was prepared, containing information about the aggravation of risks identified in patients who interrupted mental health treatment. It was also suggested that the municipality create an instrument to monitor these serious cases in psychological distress and suicidal behavior, triggered by the pandemic.

This master thesis presents the development of a light electric vehicles charger using Wide-Bandgap (WBG) devices. The developed charger is composed of two stages, one rectifier (AC-DC converter), with input current power factor correction (PFC), and another DC-DC converter, which is responsible for galvanic isolation between load and grid, and allows the ouput voltage and current control. The topologies under study at this work are the Totem Pole PFC for the AC-DC stage, and the Half-Bridge DC-DC with current doubler for the DC-DC stage. Both topologies are studied in detail, with the main focus on the application of GaN technology, regarding its advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, design and analysis of the converters are presented, with the development of a loss estimation methodology for GaN switches. Also, it is shown the design of a halfbridge module to operate up to 360 W of power, used in both converters. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the theoretical analysis.

T c he negative consequences that environmental changes are causing and can still ause on the planet, the environmental issue has become a subject of global debate. In this sense, the present study sought to characterize and analyze the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in Brazil, with regard to its sectoral and regional dimensions, and its impacts on the generation of certified carbon emission reductions (CER). In order to achieve the proposed objectives, we started from the observation of the 1,136 CDM activities registered in the UNFCCC. The results, presented with the aid of spatial maps and tables, validate the importance of Brazil within the global scenario of the CDM, demonstrate the concentration of project activities in the energy sector and in the Southeast region and in terms of its relationship with the carbon market, more tha n regulating the trading of CERs, it is necessary to outline policies that include strategies that encourage a change in the behavior of pollutant emitters so that the trading of emissions efficiently contributes to the miti gation of the greenhouse effect .

The present study aimed to analyze, using the StructuralDifferential method, the dynamics of formal employment in the period between 2008 and 2018, in the main municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, visàtwenty vis the dynamics between them in the Industry sectors, Commerce and Service. Specifically, we sought to: analyze the trajectory of employment in the municipal sphere among the twenty selected municipal ities in the sectors of Industry, Commerce and Service; identify dynamic municipalities in job creation, as well as those that lost the most jobs; use regional analysis coefficients to assist in data interpretation; make observations of the behavior of for mal employment in the 20082013 and 20132018 periods; compare the periods of analysis to identify whether growth occurred in the first five years as well as in the final five years. The structuraldifferential method (shift descshare) made it possible to ribe regional and sectoral expansion through the decomposition of its productive structure and thus to ascertain whether a region can present a higher growth rate than the average of a composite of regions. The data were all based on the Annual Report of S ocial Information (RAIS). As main results, it was found that for the twenty municipalities (B20) of Rio Grande do Sul, the industrial sector showed decreases of 13%, totaling the loss of 45,970 formal jobs in the tenyear period (2008 Analyzing the 2018). Total Net Variation (VTL), among the selected clippings, it was observed that the city of Porto Alegre obtained, for the three clippings, the worst performance, also highlighting, for the same clippings, the industrial sector as the least dynamic. Regardin g the allocation effect, in many municipalities, the changes were discrete. Considering the allocation effects, the Services sector was the one that presented stability in all the cuts.

Atualmente, no Brasil, setor primário e grande capital confluem enquanto ditos motores da economia nacional, a custo da crescente devastação e perda de biodiversidade em biomas como o Amazônico, além da contínua perda de direitos humanos entre as pessoas que ali vivem e dela dependem. Este trabalho propõe-se a investigar os principais antecedentes e implicações do recente movimento de aceleração da exploração/espoliação dos recursos vitais presentes na Amazônia brasileira, praticado pelo atual governo de Jair Bolsonaro, com participação emblemática do ex-Ministro do Meio Ambiente Ricardo Salles na execução do projeto de despojo e avanço do capitalismo em uma de suas últimas fronteiras não exploradas. Como pano de fundo para a compreensão desse processo, busca-se trabalhar conceitos como Dependência, Neoextrativismo, Financeirização do Capitalismo e Divisão Internacional do Trabalho, de maneira a vincular variáveis estruturais, próprias da dinâmica de acumulação capitalista, ao avanço paulatino da espoliação em território Amazônico. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza explicativa, que utilizará um método de abordagem hipotético-dedutivo e, procedimentalmente, realizará consulta à vasta bibliografia que envolve os temas tratados, bem como dados, indicadores e legislação relacionados ao tema investigado.

A presente tese procura revisitar as memórias dos antigos moradores das áreas afetadas pela UHE Serra do Facão, para compreender como ressignificaram seus modos de vida, suas sociabilidades, suas práticas culturais, uma década após a retirada de grande parte dos moradores do entorno do Rio São Marcos, no Sudeste goiano. Para tanto, visa entender os processos socioculturais, a forma como os sujeitos afetados pelo empreendimento recriaram suas relações com o lugar e com a cidade, redefinindo novas relações pós-instalação da Usina Hidroelétrica. Procura observar como percebem, na atualidade, o impacto do processo em suas vidas, como avaliam as mudanças pelas quais passaram e como aplicaram os recursos adquiridos com as indenizações. Além disso, visa entender como estas transformações ocorreram em Catalão/GO, uma vez que esta cidade é polo regional e a mais afetada, direta e indiretamente pelo empreendimento hidrelétrico. Os conceitos que norteiam o estudo são os de memória, pertencimento e lugar. Referenciados pela História Cultural, permitem redescobrir o conjunto de significados partilhados e construídos por homens e mulheres para explicar o mundo. As fontes documentais utilizadas no trabalho se constituem, fundamentalmente, de registros de memória, orais e escritos; dados econômicos e estatísticos, fotografias, reportagens e documentos produzidos no processo de construção e instalação da Usina Hidrelétrica Serra do Facão.
