Tecnologias móveis na educação
The use of the mobile technology has caused several changes in all segments of society. Due to their being inserted in people s lives, the digital mobile devices cause changes in the way people communicate, interact, work, purchase, entertain and learn. In search for greater flexibility, convenience and mobility, society has increasingly taken control of the digital language and sets new characteristics on the sender-receiver, consumer-supplier, employee-employer, media-reader and even State citizen relationships. The so-called digital generation is born, grows, learns and lives being connected to a digital world full of ―rotating and mutant‖ pieces of information, available through mobile digital devices, like cell phones, net books, tablets, etc. Unlike past generations, today s one shows skills to browse through various web channels, all at the same time and on the go. In this context, education is not immune to the effects of the mobile technology as well. How does the appropriation of this technology occur in schools? How does the traditional education system perceive and cope with cell phones inside the classroom? What are the challenges? This research starts up an interdisciplinary reflection, which involves information technology, communication and education, in search for answers to these questions. Keeping focus on the mobile device, we seek to learn whether and how the school environment incorporates the mobile technology in its educational process. This research presents the exploratory study accomplished in a public school in the city of Mogi das Cruzes, located in the metropolitan area of Sao Paulo, concerning students of the 9th year of the elementary school and 1st year of high school levels, using the mobile device as an aid in the pedagogical activities punctually and intermittently accomplished by the history teacher. The study shows and encourages thinking on how the mobile device is being incorporated as an apparatus to assist the pedagogical practice in the formal education environment

The main objective of this research is to identify the formation of the Protestant Brazilian player the second half of the nineteenth century, specifically, the capital of the Republic at the time, the Rio de Janeiro. For this, we intend to redeem elements that explain the use of a fictional narrative by Evangelical Press newspaper, nineteenth century. Basearemo us in the history of reading, particularly in Roger Chartier, to show that the relationship between text and reader produces effects not only for the history of reading, but also for anyone who cares to study this subject. In addition, the paper aims to show how the newspaper used this feature and how to set up your receptivity and acceptance by readers Protestants living in Brazil. Within the context of the Rio player, we will analyze the possibility of this encounter with an evangelistic strategy of Protestant missionaries sent to Brazil, from the use of a literary work by a Protestant newspaper. This makes the Evangelical Press and Lucila objects fundamental to our understanding of the formation of the Protestant Brazilian player, representing the corpus of this research. The Evangelical Press rare gathered information about the formation of Protestantism in Brazil. From the periodic setting of the newspaper, with its textuality and layout, one of the goals of this work is to verify the possibility to establish the image of a Protestant reader of the second half of the nineteenth century. The Evangelical Press was a religious periodical, had ads on their pages, news releases and several, including on international events. Why be administered and directed by Protestant Christians, the Evangelical Press brought Brazilian readers that era articles and topics related to the Protestant religion, its doctrine and practice of faith. Moreover, the work aims to unite scientific arguments that show the use of fiction in the newspaper, if it really was a way to convince the reader that was used to follow the journal by fidelity to religious information reliable.

Estudo sobre os níveis de disclosure adotados pelas empresas brasileiras e custo de capital
The main aim of this study was to examine the association between disclosure and cost of capital for Brazilian companies. In order to attain the general aim three specific objectives were posed: evaluating methodology for testing the association between disclosure and capital cost; analyzing capital cost models that might be adopted for use in the Brazilian market; and examining the effects of the amount and quality of information disclosed by Brazilian companies in their annual shareholder reports. The Ordinary Least Squares Method was used to test the correlation between disclosure and cost of capital. Cost of capital was used as dependent variable; explanatory variables analyzed were 3 disclosure indexes and 9 indicating size, risk, and variance in earnings. Three models were used to calculate capital cost: Capital Asset Pricing, Discounted Dividends, and Ohlson-Juettner. Testing was based on two non-probabilistic samples of company stock traded on the São Paulo Stock Exchange. The first sample comprised 131 companies from different segments; the second consisted of companies submitting reports and competing for the 6th Brazilian Publicly Traded Companies Association (local acronym ABRASCA) awards in 2003. The results of this study showed that the model chosen for calculating capital cost affects the results obtained in empirical tests, and that variable disclosure may be significant in one model and not in another. These results match data obtained by Botosan (1997). Two of the disclosure indexes, IDISCABR (used for the ABRASCA award) and INNM (index representing companies adhering to the New Market s differentiated Corporate Governance requirements) differed at 5% significance level, showing that companies in the ABRASCA sample benefited from lower costs by using more stringent disclosure levels. Testing based on the overall sample of 131 companies provided evidence showing that correlations between disclosure and cost-of-capital are sensitive to sample heterogeneity, as Botosan (1997) explained in his groundbreaking study. The main contributions of this study relate to precautions researchers must take when selecting methods of calculating cost of capital; the possibility of using different disclosure indexes to test cost-of-capital and disclosure empirically in the Brazilian market; and evidence that the sample of 37 companies participating in the ABRASCA awards reduced their cost-of-capital through more transparent policies. Although obtained from a small sample, this result may encourage other Brazilian companies in their decision making and instigate further research on the theme.

Criação de valor ao cliente por meio da expansão da oferta de serviços
Alpha CargoLog Transportes e Serviços Ltda – subsidiary Brusque-SC, the company that is the focus of this work, is a road cargo carrier that has difficulty growing in the face of an extremely competitive market. Amid this unfavorable scenario, the company received from its major customers, the request for extension in the provision of logistics services, in addition to the transportation already carried out. With that, attempts were made to understand the market in which Alpha CargoLog is inserted, in order to identify the possible opportunities. The goal of this work is to create superior value to customers, by expanding the service offering, in order to enable the growth of Alpha CargoLog - subsidiary Brusque-SC. The work follows the line of value creation and marketing of services that contrasts with the reality of the organization. Based on the understanding and the opportunity diagnosis, a proposal was developed to explore the opportunity, which occurred through the opening of a new business unit that will offer new logistics services, validated by the project's feasibility and financial analysis. This work presents a disruptive innovation in the Alpha CargoLog market, within the logistics segment. The integration of logistic operator services with transporter proved to be challenging to manage the complexity involved. It was necessary to find a new physical space, invest in structure and technology, develop and train a new team, develop partnerships and, finally yet importantly, sell and validate with the market the new integrated logistics services. The project is fully replicable in other companies and regions, wherein port areas tend to be more propitious for the application of this work. Large industrial centers can also be an opportunity to be explored, with companies that strategically outsource their entire logistics operation.

A natureza jurídica do orçamento público

The magazine journalism has always tried to approach its readers through thematic and narrative organization, in a more distinct and deep form, - even because of its periodicity - than daily newspaper. In the reports and materials produced on violence, literary and opinionated bias becomes evidenced by the use of narrative resources that reveal a sophisticated narrative environment with intentions, ideologies and ways of conduct that communicate with the society and its way of dealing with the brutal and the grotesque. The purpose of this dissertation research project, initiated during journalism graduation is to verify, through the analysis of Elize Matsunaga's case report published in Veja magazine, how narrative elements engender in the journalistic production to deal with violence and use literature references to fairy tales to connect with the reader. In addition to conceptualizing the magazine journalism and its discursive strategies, this study analyzes the magazine's means of production, and studies verbal and non-verbal texts associated with fairy tales in the selected corpus to finally look into the journalistic- and human need- to narrate, discuss and think evil.
