Destaca-se a importância da ergonomia no desenho de câmeras fotográficas profissionais pelas constantes modificações de pega/empunhadura implementadas pelos fabricantes dos equipamentos. Esses constantes aperfeiçoamentos, alicerçados em conceitos ergonômicos, buscam melhorar o uso e o desempenho das máquinas em diversas situações, suprindo de forma mais satisfatória a necessidade do usuário. O artigo, portanto, tem por objetivo verificar e ressaltar a importância do estudo ergonômico como fator determinante para a execução de novos projetos de câmeras fotográficas profissionais, que visem aprimorar o desempenho no ato de fotografar, além de proporcionar o máximo de conforto, segurança, eficiência e qualidade para a fotografia.

A comunicação do conhecimento científico é fundamental para o progresso da ciência. A ciência é, nesse sentido, um produto conectivo universal. Com o aparecimento da internet e do formato digital, surgiram novos meios técnicos de comunicação à disposição da comunidade científica, passíveis de incrementar a leitura, interpretação, citação e distribuição de ideias a partir das edições científicas. Como hipótese de estudo, recorremos à dupla sintaxe (analógico + digital) da revista científica através da associação das qualidades de um formato às vantagens do outro, introduzindo as anotações enquanto sistema de leitura crítica aumentada (classificação, remissão, comparação, síntese, ilustração, confrontação e divulgação), assim julgando contribuir para a transmissão e produção do conhecimento científico, introduzindo a possibilidade de partilha dessas anotações enquanto proto-interpretações do texto. Neste artigo apresentam-se os resultados de uma análise sistemática para o estudo das anotações no contexto da comunicação da ciência, enquanto sistema ergonómico cognitivo instrumental para a compreensão e produção do discurso científico.

One of the used methods to creation and management of electronic journals is the Sistema Eletrônico de Editoração de Revistas (SEER), used at the fabrication of portals for journals, as well as the independent making of newspapers. In this way, it’s believed that the systems of electronic journals managements should be developed according to the need of its users. The process of author registration and submission of articles are relevant tasks on the editorial process of a journal. This way, this article aims to analyze the Usability and the Architecture of the Information of these tasks at SEER, through the Bibliocanto Newspaper, which integrates the Electronic Journals Portal of the Federal University of the Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). To the research effectuation, a Usability Test and Cooperation Evaluation were made, with twenty attendees, divided by four categories: five graduation students, five post-graduation students, five teachers and five librarians. All of these liked to UFRN. After the analysis, the outcome point to the need of improvements at the interface on these two tactics.

O presente artigo apresenta uma intervenção ergonomizadora, na fase de apreciação, realizada no trabalho dos frentistas em um posto de combustível em um bairro popular localizado em São Luis-Ma. Utilizou-se técnicas de entrevista aberta e observações para o mapeamento dos constrangimentos ergonômicos. Os resultados mostraram a presença de constrangimentos ergonômicos de ordem operacional, interfacial, psicossocial, espacial/arquitetural de interiores, químico-ambiental, informacional/visual, acional: manual/pedioso, cognitivo e acidentário.

A dependência do Homem face ao automóvel é hoje uma realidade inquestionável. Este passou a ser um objeto que funciona como uma espécie de “extensão do corpo”, isto é, que passou a definir o status e a personalidade das pessoas, relegando para segundo plano as questões utilitárias e práticas. Uma vez que o objectivo global do projeto discutido neste trabalho prende-se com a realização de um veículo citadino de pequenas dimensões, económico e para uma utilização “on-road”, devem ser tidos em conta todos os aspetos relacionados com a ergonomia e antropometria, sendo esse o foco do presente trabalho. Ainda referente ao tipo de utilização, há que ressalvar a imperatividade de uma solução comedida em termos de espaço, onde o transporte de até quatro pessoas em curtas/médias distâncias para um uso quotidiano seja o foco. No entanto, deve prever-se a possibilidade de modularidade consoante o tipo de utilização mais esporádica que este pode ter. Dentro deste domínio, a ergonomia e a antropometria apresentam-se como disciplinas que estudam e melhoram a integração e interação do Homem com o mundo, sendo um dos pontos chave para a aproximação do projeto á realidade.

Serious games have been widely used as support to traditional therapies in healthcare. However, their usability has to be evaluated first to assure its effectiveness with the target group. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the usability of a serious game developed to assist in the motor rehabilitation of stroke patients. METHODS: 21 subjects evaluated the virtual game “O Caçador de Relíquias Perdidas” and its multisensory glove “NEDGlove”, developed by the NeuroErgoDesign research group. The subjects tested the game two sessions of 5-min. For the statistical analysis, we used the Wilcoxon test and the Spearman correlation. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the University Hospital Onofre Lopes (CAAE: 34478214.0.0000.5292). RESULTS: We observed significant correlations between actual experience and the visual aspects of the game, concentration, adaptation and immersion in the virtual environment. There was also a correlation between design of both hardware and software and performance of the task. CONCLUSION: The system’s usability suggests a successful acceptance by the target population, stroke rehabilitation patients.

Several studies demonstrate the increased use of games applied to the work environment, in order to create synergy and commitment among workers, facilitating training, learning and acquisition of new behaviors by their employees. Games have become a powerful tool for companies, due to the satisfactory results they achieve as simulation instruments of different working realities. This is most likely due to the power of games to simulate specific situations by imposing rules and limits while offering freedom of action in solving problems and challenges. In this way, this work presents the design of a game, based on the Playcentric Design Process methodology, seeking to contemplate the synergy between people in the work environment in an innovative way. To this end, concepts related to this theme will be listed, such as: synergy and cooperation in the work environment, business games and Playcentric Design Process.

This article tries to demonstrate the importance of the name in the construction work of the brand identity, presented the Brazilian brand of clothing for the children’s segment “Stryptyse” as a case study, active in the state of Pernambuco and intends to expand the product line for clothes of babies, with the objective of own stores in two other states, Fortaleza and São Paulo. In this brand there is a practical problem of name, because its association with erotic products impairs the work of communication of the brand. For the accomplishment of the investigation it is had as general objective of this work: to understandthe importance of the name in the process of construction of identity. To support the general objective, specific objectives are: 1. Identify how this factor influences and / or damages the busi- ness of said company; 2. Identify the dichotomy between the company’s image for its public through its name and its real function; 3. Propose a new name for the brand “Strytyse children’s fashion”. To better understand the creative ways in the construction of a meth- odology for the realization of the process were interviewed profession- als of naming along with the bibliographical research on the subject.

The identity of a people is their culture, the visual expression of which is one of their most evident manifestations. If, in many cases, this identity is manipulated in a way that is perceived by the public to whom it is intended as a culture that is clear of macula, leading to the loss of much of its popular character, others exist in which it is still possible, by the most diverse reasons, to keep these identifying traits almost intact, without prejudice to being updated, that is: without crystallizing in time. Thus, the present work describes and fits the research carried out within a postdoc project on the photographic collection and geolocation of vernacular written graphisms existing in the public space of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. It is the presentation of an external look about an identity and heritage visible on a day-to-day, but often little appreciated by its degree of ephemerality. Starting from the framework and clarification of the concepts, the criteria for image selection are presented, as well as the parameters used to classify each one. From this classification, it is possible not only to organize an open and expandable image bank, but also to establish a basis for its public disclosure, so as to take advantage of the assets to value the local design.  

The paper aims to present results of a study on design methods and processes, applied in a signage project for the commercial area of Alecrim, Natal, RN. The paper purposes to describe the methodological process, focusing on approaches that consider the urban environment as a scenario of people experiences and daily practices. The survey helps us to analyze the design problems and to elaborate the design plan and conception. We search the history and particular features of the Alecrim, as well as the district official data. Likewise, at the same time, we analyze methodological approaches on urban public environment, on user perceptions and his relations between the urban space, in order to find appropriated design methods for this type of survey, and finally to define design opportunities. For project planning, in addition to relevant law, we adapt design methods, processes and techniques, which includes ergonomic criteria analysis, for the signage project.

Technological and social evolution led to a new way of looking at the world, a new type of society considered liquid according to Bauman, which opened doors to a set of new aesthetic opportunities that made design, being an organic discipline, evolve. This evolution led to the need to create new systems of visual identity, endowed with characteristics that meet today's needs: The kinetic identity is one of these types of visual identity systems, called Flexibles. Adjusted to the characteristics of contempo- rary society, it has as particularity the use of movement as a method of transformation of the elements that define it. This article aims to reflect on the relevance of kinetic identity as a new communication strategy for brands in contemporary society. For this, we used the method of exploratory qualitative analysis in which after the crossing of nuclear concepts to research were analyzed case studies that obeyed the pre-established criteria. As a result, it is expected that the information obtained will enable the understanding of the current trend of the use of kinetic identity as a communication strategy for brands in contemporaneity.

Color blindness is a deficiency of non-recognition of colors, where the person can not identify certain or all of the shades of a color, which entails to a significant dependence on their daily life. Since several information on a daily basis are color based when transmitting important aspects of daily living. Attempting to decrease the issues faced by this specific public since childhood, systems and / or devices have been developed. The present article aims to present a survey of assistive technologies developed for Color blinds, in order to gather data for the development of a game to assist colorblind children in the learning of colors and their symbologies, using the ColorADD code. In order to do so, a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out to identify assistive technologies that cover resources, services, techniques, devices and processes, aimed at the Color blinds of different ages available in the market.

This exploratory study, framed by an investigation on food design, has as its goal to assess the organoleptic acquis on infant citizens (aged 3 - 5), from different socio-economic groups. The investigation is based on the statistical evaluation of a questionnaire survey, structured by the taxonomic circle of Atlantic-Mediterranean taste where the sample comes from (two schools from the metropolitan area of Porto, Portugal). Concerning the olfactory submission to 20 products, distributed in 12 types, it was concluded that there was a 54% significant difference on the most favoured socio-economic group, comparing the 38% of the most depressed group, therefore highlighting a clear asymmetry between the analysed groups. Inferring a nexus of causality between the organoleptic archive acquired until the age of 5 years, and the subsequent ability to acquire new nutritional habits, it is recognised that infant nutrition must be evaluated not only concerning the nutrition perspective but, and complementarily, the cultural perspective, thereby providing individuals with a greater flexibility to innovation and adjustment to the future. Consequently, we identify that the Democratic State, regarding its accountability of promoting social development, should, alongside with the nutritional education already implemented, add the new domain of organoleptic skills, promoting more suitable citizens to social, economic and sanitary progress.

This paper presents the results of an ergonomic appreciation and ergonomic diagnosis, related to the method entitled "Intervenção Ergonomizadora" proposed by Moraes and Mont'Alvão (2009), developed in a place of street sales. During the research, it was developed the elements that comprise the process of systematization of the chosen method, and the general survey of existing ergonomic problems and constraints. For this, the data was collected through observations, interviews and questionnaires applied to the chosen vendors. Finally, important recommendations were presented to be considered in the further ergonomic design steps.

Population aging is a social phenomenon characterized by an increase in the proportion of elderly people in relation to the total population. For the World Health Organization, an elderly person is an individual between 61 and 75 years of age. Several aspects at the psychomotor level decrease with age increasing, with characteristics of the body that will change over time. Thus, the focus of this study was established on elderly’s clothing with limitations resulting from degenerative joints pathologies. The aim of this study is to develop hypotheses of ergonomic clothing for the elderly population considering their physical and aesthetic needs. The methodology used was direct observation that allowed to obtain a holistic and natural perspective of the dressing / undressing routine. In a second phase, a prototype was developed to validate and deepen some formal requirements. With the analysis of the results obtained, it is concluded that the prototype fulfilled the defined objectives, using wool as a sustainable and biodegradable material, as well as allowing greater ease in the wearability and accessibility of people with fine motor skills difficulties.

O correto dimensionamento dos dispositivos de proteção das pessoas contra contactos indiretos em instalações elétricas de Baixa Tensão (BT), é uma das condições fundamentais para que uma instalação possa ser utilizada e explorada com conforto e em perfeitas condições de segurança.De acordo com a normalização em vigor, é, também, uma das condições essenciais para a certificação ou licenciamento das instalações elétricas por parte das entidades ou organismos responsáveis, a quem estão atribuídas estas competências.A função dos dispositivos de proteção das pessoas contra os contactos indiretos será o corte automático da alimentação da instalação elétrica, que em caso de defeito, e em consequência do valor e da duração da tensão de contacto, evitará o risco de se produzirem efeitos fisiopatológicos perigosos nas pessoas.As medidas de proteção adotadas obrigam à coordenação entre os Esquemas de Ligação à Terra (ELT)) adotados, as características dos condutores de proteção e os respetivos dispositivos de proteção.Neste artigo são apresentados alguns exemplos de cálculo dos dispositivos de proteção das pessoas contra contactos indiretos, de acordo com o ELT adotado para a instalação elétrica.

Na fase de conceção de qualquer edifico, os termos conforto e poupança energética assumem uma relevância crescente. Para além dos aspetos puramente arquitetónicos (orientação do edifício, isolamento térmico e acústico, as fachadas em vidro etc), a introdução de elementos tecnológicos como é o caso da domótica ou imótica, contribuem simultaneamente para controlar as despesas energéticas e proporcionam mais conforto aos utilizadores.A análise global da distribuição dos consumos energéticos em termos de energia final, revela que 50% dos consumos incidem nos sectores que agregam a iluminação, eletrodomésticos, aquecimento e arrefecimento.No que diz respeito a climatização que representa 25% desse consumo, a taxa tende a aumentar em resultado da cada vez maior exigência em termos de conforto térmico, razão pela qual a intervenção com sistemas de controlo inteligente revela poupanças energéticas significativas.O KNX, standard internacional para o controlo de habitações e edifícios, cumpre com os requisitos dos standards europeus, CENELEC 5009 e CEN EN 13321-1. Sendo vários os fabricantes que desenvolvem soluções em KNX, os diversos intervenientes num projeto (arquiteto, instalador, projetista e utilizador) sentem confiança acrescida neste tipo de solução.

Conforme referido no parágrafo 3 do artigo publicado no número 17 da revista Neutro à Terra, existem no mercado, diversos tipos de detetores automáticos de incêndio.Os detetores de incêndio são normalmente concebidos para detetar uma ou mais características de um incêndio: fumo, calor, radiação (chama) e outros produtos de combustão.Cada tipo de detetor responde com rapidez diferente aos diferentes tipos de incêndio.
