Older adults in Peruvian digital media during COVID-19 pandemic
This article analyzes the treatment that was given to the elderly by the digital media in the context of COVID 19 in Peru during the first weeks of the mandatory social isolation measure. Documentary research and exploratory methodology were used, as well as, analytic frameworks of framing theory and ageism to analyse a group of 99 journalistic notes. The findings showed that the media treatment of older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic has reproduced ageist stereotypes. They were represented as a homogeneous group which is associated to economic dependence, vulnerability, as well as, lacking of agency and decision-making power.

Association between cardiovascular diseases and signs/symptoms of climacteric in women treated at a Basic Health Unit
The present study aimed to evaluate the association of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in women during the climacteric / menopause period of a Basic Health Unit in the city of Canoas / RS, Brazil. This study is descriptive and exploratory. Data collection took place after the project was approved by the Ethics Committee (CAAE 86378818.1.0000.5349). All participants signed the Free and Informed Consent Form (ICF). The instruments used were: the sociodemographic questionnaire; the questionnaire validated for Portuguese “Menopause Rating Scale (MRS)” and three open questions that questioned whether they used medications and whether they were used continuously, as well as whether they had cardiovascular disease and their perception of the climacteric / menopause phase. Associations were analyzed using Spearman's correlation test, with a significance level of 5% (p <0.05) and using the SPSS version 21.0 program. Regarding the sociodemographic results of the sample, the average age of women was 53.3 ± 8.2, of these 99 (48.5%) have primary education, only 98 (48.0%) work and 196 (96.0) %) of these women have children. The percentage of women treated for cardiovascular disease was 42.16%. The prevalent CVDs with diagnosis were angina, dyslipidemia, heart failure and hypertension. Estrogen deficiency is still little discussed today, being only one cycle in the life of women, but it triggers morphological and physiological changes and interferes with the cardiovascular system. For this reason, this topic deserves special attention from public policies.

The expression of ageism in times of COVID-19: A theoretical reflection
The way how a society understands and behaves in the face of the aging process is reflected in its own conceptions of aging. This article aimed to reflect the expression of ageism in Brazil during COVID-19, considering theories of human aging and different social organizations. It is concluded that a greater expression of this prejudice in Brazilian elderly is also due to a failure to enforce the access and rights laws of these elderly people.

The grieving process during the Covid-19 pandemic: repercussions against Covid-19 in Brazil
This paper proposes reflections on the grieving process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The conceptualization of the mourning process and the notions of unrecognized mourning, anticipatory mourning and deferred mourning favored the discussion about how this process has been crossed by collective social isolation and its repercussions on patients, families and professionals of essential services. Despite the great losses and changes that have occurred, the current authors have emphasized that healthy coping occurs from the experience of the dual process of mourning.

Mapping a quality model for homes for the aged
Population aging and the epidemiological transition have led to an increase in institutionalization as a lifestyle alternative for the elderly. It is necessary to discuss a model of LTCF quality, contextualized to the Brazilian reality to advance the process of evaluating their activities, in addition to the normative and regulatory aspects, seeking to maximize health and quality of life for residents. The objective of this qualitative study was to apprehend the meaning of quality of the LTCF from the point of view of the elderly residents, caregivers of the elderly and technical managers of some large and medium and small private and philanthropic ILPI located in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. It is necessary to understand how this equipment works, looking for parameters that make it possible to offer solutions that are more favorable to life in institutional homes, transforming the current scenario where they are still compared to the old homes. The search for ambiences that make them desirable places may reduce the impact of the change in housing, characterizing them as worthy for the elderly at any level of dependency.
