O corpo psicanalítico no hospital
Considering that hospitalization implies in the emotional breaking of the ill subject because he/she is faced with vulnerability and abandonment before death and illness, the aim of this work is to make emerge the psychoanalytical body in the hospital through analysis of the psychic of the subject. We performed a reading of the ill-subject in current times, reflecting upon the contemporary knowledge and institutional postures that cross between themselves for the construction and social-cultural representation of the sick and hospitalized body. From the premises of the necessity of controlling the body it is reaffirmed by culture as well as by the institutions, caretakers and assented by the post modern man in search of perfection that mortifies, imposes a mold, that atrophies the feeling of doubt, hesitation, suffering and that even though we observe that this tentative to resist the encounter with doubt by paralyzing subjectivity processes, the actual body, as an announcement, seeks to remember the existence of the pulsional body disclosing the founding insatiability, revealing the suffering that is peculiar to humans, so then as to be born the being is conditions of analysis ,in identity crisis, emerging the subject of speech, the subject of desire. This is the place of the analyst and the analyzed: face to face with the psychoanalytical body. Psychoanalysis has in this work, the role of paraphrasing, a methodological instrument that looks beyond the socialcultural announcement. Psychoanalysis puts itself as an investigator of the logic of the production of meanings- which emerge or are already made up in an institution that treats the urgencies of the body: the public hospital, in the XXI century. The pulsional body is considered here as that one which produces and on which is produces representational fields in which are inserted subjects and is presumed that these fields are governed by specific logic because they are unconscious- and that they determine their relations: be them organic, institutional and subjective, being the subjects are dialectally also made up by them; as the body, at the same time, is the source and aim of the impulses. Two clinical cases studies were analyzed having as an essential operator, the psychoanalytical method which revealed from the transferential relationship of the posture interrogator-interpretant and analytical listening, the ascension of the subject of the unconscious- the subject of desire, psychoanalytic by excellence, reliving interventions that legitimately occupy the trade to which are destined: care for the psychoanalytical body through therapeutic function.

Percepção dos frentistas de postos de combustíveis sobre as repercussões de sua atividade profissional na sua saúde, na cidade de Uberaba
The present study has been approved by the Committee for Ethics in Research with Human Beings at UFU, in September 2006, report nº 266/06. It seeks to testify how aware workers of gas stations in the city of Uberaba, Minas Gerais, are of the impact of their working conditions in their own health. In this study, we present the results of a survey questionnaire applied to 107 gas station attendants. The contamination of workers in gas stations has become an object for researches which relates working activities to the worker s health. The number of individuals exposed to gas is too large and includes, mostly, employees of oil companies and gas station attendants. In this work, a questionnaire was applied semi-structured for the gas station attendants of Uberaba and it was observed that a good part of these gas station attendants doesn't have knowledge on Biosafety conditions of their work. The results reinforce the need of implantations of Biosafety courses. Therefore, the research undergone with these workers and the release of its results, aims to minimize and prevent possible contamination by fuel to this class of professional.

Determinação dos metais pesados Cd, Cu, Cr e Pb nas águas do Rio Uberabinha e proposta de adsorção por adsorventes naturais
Problems related to the pollution of rivers, streams, lakes and others, have been putting into discussion the indispensable urgency of attitude changes and proposing remediation methods to the hybrids bodies which supply the whole population of living beings. As Uberabinha River is a water source of vital importance to the region of Uberlândia/MG, this project has as its objective verifying its real conditions through physical [TDS, SS, color, turbidity, temperature) and chemical analyses (BOD, DO, metal concentration such as cadmium, (Cd), copper (Cu), chromium (Cr) and lead (Pb)]. Also, proposing a water remediation method which presents heavy metal concentrations Cd, Cu, Cr and Pb higher than the maximum value allowed by Normative Deliberation COPAM/CERH-MG 01/2008 by adsorption, with the help of natural adsorbents as Moringa oleifera and a clayish material, used for making bricks. The quantification rate of metals after the treatment with adsorbents was made by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). With reference, a standard calibration curve for each metal was essential. After the heavy metal determination phase, solutions of the same ones were simulated and treated with the natural adsorbents moringa and clayish material, separated and respectively. To the adsorption test, in scads, an agitation by canting was initially accomplished varying the time of contact (10, 20, 30 and 40 minutes) and letting constant: pH, temperature, rotation speed, adsorbent concentration and mass. In a second moment, the mass of adsorbents was varied (10, 20, 30, 60 and 100 mg), where pH, temperature, volume, solution concentration, rotation speed and contact time remained constant. The results were quite satisfactory showing that the physical-chemical parameters were according to what law permits, except for the rate of heavy metals found in the river waters. To an adsorption, 10 mg of clayish material in a 10 minute contact time with metal solutions were sufficient to 100% of removal of the same ones. The moringa reached values close to the clay ones, except for Cd metal, showing that both adsorbents are very efficient in aid to decontamination of polluted waters by heavy metals, however, clay distinguished greatly.

Estudos para a determinação eletroquímica de aril N-metil carbamatos totais em águas em sistema de análise por injeção em fluxo
A method was investigated for the indirect electrochemistry determination of total aryl N-methylcarbamates in water through the oxidation of the phenolic derivative produced in the alkaline hydrolysis of these pesticides. As model pesticide was used Carbofuran that produces in the alkaline hydrolysis the phenolic derivative denominate as Benzofuranol (BF). The electrochemical behaviour and the analytical parameters of the determination of BF were investigated by using linear voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and amperometry in FIA system. The FIA system was composed by an acrylic injector switch, a flowing electrochemical cell of three electrodes, on wall-jet mode, and a propulsion system of carrier electrolyte and of sample solution towards electrochemical cell. The propulsion system was constituted by an air mini-compressor used in aquarium associated to the a water column to control the flow of carrier electrolyte. The best conditions of the amperometric determination of BF in FIA system were: acetate buffer as carrier electrolyte under flow of 2.0 ml L-1, sample volume of 200 μL and applied potential of 0.75 V vs Ag/AgCl. Carbon paste electrode (CPE) was evaluated in terms of stability of the analytical signal and reproducibility of the analytical curve. The peaks current of a group of 18 consecutives injections of BF solution showed a relative standard deviate of 2.6%. The sensibility of electrode response was stable, showing the good performance of the carbon paste electrode in these experimental conditions. The amperometric signal was linear over the concentration range 1.4x10-7 to 7.1x10-7 mol L-1of Carbofuran with detection limit and of quantification limit of of 7x10-9 mol L-1 and 2,3x10-8 mol L-1, respectively. The interference of phenolic compounds possibly present in natural water samples was investigated by using 2,6-dichlorophenol as model compound. It was showed that the interference can be eliminated by differential measurements of the analytical signal of the sample solution, before and after treatment with NaOH 0.05 mol L-1. Carbofuran contributes for the amperometric signal only when the sample solution was previously treated with NaOH 0.05 mol L-1 because of the formation of BF. Differently, the 2,6-dichlorophenol contributes to both amperometric signal of the sample solution, before and after the treatment with NaOH 0.05 mol L-1. The difference between these amperometric signals is due to the Carbofuran in the sample. Recovery studies of Carbofuran was carried out by using this methodology and natural water sample (Uberabinha river- Uberlândia-MG) fortified with Carbofuran 2.07x10-7 mol L-1 plus 2,6-diclorofenol 1.5x10-6 mol L-1. A recovery efficiency of 98.5% was found from triplicate analysis. These results shown that the methodology can be used for determination of total aryl-N-methylcarbamates in natural water samples which contains interferent phenolic compounds.

Caracterização espectroscópica e por modelagem mecânico-quântica, de compostos com potencial aplicação em dispositivos ópticos não-lineares
In the present work, the compounds 1-(3 ,4 ,5 -trimethoxiphenil)-2-(2 - tienyl) -5-(4 -nitrophenylazo) pirrol (compound 1) and 5 -dicianovinyl-5- piperidine-5,2 :5 :2 - tertiophene (compound 2), were characterized using a combination of spectroscopic measurements and quantum mechanical calculation, aiming to evaluate if they present the necessary requisites for application no photonic technologies. Both compounds present acceptable polarizability and first polarizability values, and high values of dipole moment, which tend to be higher for the relaxed S1 state, probably influenced by solvent interactions. These estimates were done using a theoretical methodology under development in Laboratório de Fotoquímica (IQUFU). These compounds present a solvatochromic behavior desirable for NLO ones, confirmed by theoretical estimates. Besides they possess asymmetry and electron delocalization important requisites to favor the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) along the molecular structure, also possessing expressive values of dipole moment. These characteristics tend to facilitate the orientation of such compounds under conditions of electric field polarization. Both compounds also presents a low energy gap between the first excited electronic state and the ground state, considerable oscillator strengths, and expressive differences for the dipole moment between the first excited electronic state and the ground state, also expected requisites for compounds with potential application in photonics. Based on the collected information, compounds derived from these ones were proposed, which present increased NLO properties relative to their precursors.
