Análise das patologias da edificação da Metalúrgica Faulhaber: um contributo à conservação e preservação do patrimônio industrial
The desire to keep alive the history of the city and the old building of Metalúrgica Faulhaber is noticed in several spheres of the municipality of Panambi. Historic buildings are part of the city's heritage, this is due to its important and representative architecture with the identification of the remnants of the industry, considered heritage of the city, the relevance and influence of the building for the surrounding environment and the emergence of the metal-mechanical branch of the municipality, and not only because of that, but above all as stated by Aldo Rossi, based on the “construction of the city over time, in which the city grows on itself, acquiring awareness and memory”. The research is carried out by bibliographic documental analysis and field survey, using qualitative and quantitative indicators, presenting a brief historical overview of the municipality of Panambi, questions about cultural heritage and its preservation, conservation and maintenance of historic buildings, as well as the factors of degradation in historical buildings, which will provide a foundation and detailed technical vision for the case study aiming at the correct analysis of the current state of the facades, and therefore the preparation of the damage map, with its causes and the correct therapies of the pathologies under analysis, thus managing to make a complete pathological overview of the building under study. Thus, this study is directed, or has the objective, to demonstrate the current conditions of the building, thus contributing to the conservation and preservation of the memory and history of Metalúrgica Faulhaber through the diagnosis and prognosis of the pathologies found, indicating repairs, conservation and preventive maintenance.

Rose Bertelli Braunstein e a Criação do Bacharelado em Percussão do Curso de Música da UFSM
The aim of this research was the rescuing of part of the history of the Music Course of the Federal University of Santa Maria, the first school of the Center of Arts and Letters. The part investigated was the Bachelor degree of Percussion, which began its activities in 1980, being the first in Southern Brazil, and the second one in a higher education institution in Brazil, adopting as its main strategy interviews with the central character in the creation of Percussion as part of the Music School, professor Rose Mari Bertelli Braunstein, in order to search for photographic and documentary material to complement the facts narrated by her. In addition to the interviews, Professor Braunstein provided a wealth of documentary material, including photos, concert programs, catalogs, newspapers clippings, which added weight to this story. Other faculty members were interviewed, as they are witnesses of the years which lead to the implementation of the percussion and its instruments, in the 1970s of the 20th century. The choosing of this subject presents the seriousness with the actions of preservation of the institution’s history, to avoid the disappearance and oblivion of facts and their characters involved, and also to provide research material for future generations. The research stages were: a) interviews with Professor Rose Braunstein, from which the chronology of the Percussion beginnings were established; b) search of Braunstein’s personal collection, selecting the existing material according to the historical importance of each photo album, clippings, and handwritten and mimeographed material; c) interviews with retired faculty members within and without UFSM, who brought personal testimonies that enriched the narrative; d) search for official and institutional documentation, in the form of laws, letters, certificates, etc., all analyzed and cataloged chronologically and by area of inclusion in history; e) search for the material that records the students graduated from the course over these almost 40 years, within the files of the Percussion Laboratory and by contact with these former students. As a way of conclusion, the presentation of the interviews in the form of a historical chronological account – with a brief introduction to the history of percussion and the history of the institution itself – seeks to place the Bachelor of Percussion degree in a broader, not geographically isolated context, especially related to the world connected by the world network of the second decade of the 21st century.
“Com Os Meus Olhos”: uma autoetnografia perspectivista da percepção visual com nistagmo e visão monocular
The present work aims to reflect on visual perception based on an autoethnography of my existential journey with nystagmus and monocular vision. The research hypothesis is that perception is configured in a continuous action beyond a response to given stimuli. In turn, visual impairment, as a gradient, constitutes a fertile field for the study of differences in the universe of perception as action. The research uses an ecological and phenomenological perspective, seeking to analyze perception as an anthropological problem. The fabric of an anthropology of perception brings into dialogue, through this work, the relationships between nature and culture and individual and society, by approaching the configurations that the innate and the acquired make up in the disabled body, based on the discourses that characterize it. Likewise, it dialogues with the stigmas and liminalities that permeate the classification of visual impairments in Brazil, through the narrative of a life course. The methodological and writing option for autoethnography is a basic constitutive part of the hypothesis that we want to prove, as it takes the place of perspective speech as a preponderant fact to understand visual perception in this context.
