This study sought to present some considerations about the advent of the internet and social networks, as to the influence of these mechanisms in the construction of the identity of its users. Using the psychoanalytic framework, we sought to conceptualize the "self" and to understand the relation of selfie (self-portrait) in the construction of virtual individuals. However, aspects related to the loss of subjective identities and the cultural changes of human relationships, nowadays dependent on digital media, were evidenced.

This study aims to know the cases of returned adopted children and their behavior changes when they were returned to host institutions from the perspective of professionals from such places. For this, the qualitative research was done through a semi-structured interview composed of 12 questions, with six participants from two host institutions in two cities of Santa Catarina. A Psychologist, a Social Worker and a Social Educator in each institution were interviewed. The results indicated flaws in the process of preparing applicants for adoption, the tendency to blame children for their return, changes in the behavior of the children after the return, and parents' difficulties in adapting and coping with their expectations regarding adoption.

This article aimed to analyze the contribution of diverse psychotherapies to restore dysfunctional self-esteem. It was carried out a systematic review of studies in which the following points have been highlighted: the development of self-esteem depends on how much the individual has been impacted by his/her experiences and how he/she gives meaning to them; beliefs that individuals have about themselves will determine how they relates to themselves, to the other and to the world; we are all in constant transformations, so each individual can change the course of his/her life. Based on methods such as the reprogramming strategy of dysfunctional beliefs based on the cognitive thought and the verbal and affective interaction between therapist and client, it was evident the importance of psychotherapy  intervention in the reconstruction of self-esteem.

Familiar farming is characterized as a sector in increasing development in Brazil, due to its peculiarities brings some lacunar aspects, among these, the issues that relate to gender and successions. This study was given in order to understand how the succession processes is given in the family business, for women, in the field of familiar farming. A study of qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional design was proceeded, whose three participants are female. A multiple case analysis was performed (Yin, 2005). The results show that, when encouraged by parents, daughters can opt for business succession, moreover, highlights the importance of integrating women as potential managers of the property.

This work aimed to analyze the publications on the description of the static dimensions in the accomplishment of the studies and the implications of the violence in the woman living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Integrative review of publications from 2011 to 2018, according to the basis of disclosure and exclusion, in PubMed, Web of Science and PycInfo databases. We obtained 12 articles that met the inclusion criteria. We have been able to prove the exposure of women living with HIV and its consequences. All the articles researched are somehow some ethical care. Women living with HIV are exposed to victimization in different ways and contexts, implying the need to promote studies on coping and prevention strategies.

Os estudos dos conceitos de gênero e sexo vêm ganhando destaque em pesquisas psicológicas. Temas ligados à sexualidade vêm destacando a ciência psicológica como um todo e profissionais têm sido confrontados com uma realidade cultural que os colocam em posições éticas e metodológicas delicadas. Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender as concepções de gênero conforme vêm sendo debatidas no contexto da psicologia científica, buscando analisar quais são os principais modelos conceituais apresentados. Foram identificadas pesquisas acadêmicas relacionadas aos descritores: psicologia, estudos de gênero, teorias psicológicas e feminismo. Após a seleção dos trabalhos mais relevantes procedeu-se com a análise dos conteúdos e observou-se como o modo de pesquisa em psicologia se esforça por integrar elementos dissonantes em seus conteúdos teóricos e técnicos. Ao final aponta-se a importância de uma psicologia científica mais conectada em seus campos de investigação e aplicação.
