In this work the properties of the reinforced structural concrete with polypropylene treated bamboo fibers were studied and they were compared with the properties of the structural concrete without addition of fibers and with the addition of steel fibers. Much has been studied regarding reinforced concrete with different fibers. Among the natural fibers, bamboo fibers are among those that present a good mechanical performance and can be compared to steel. One of the factors that prevent its indication for its use in the construction industry is due to the fiber's water absorption capacity, which results in the loss of the mechanical properties of the fiber and, consequently, of the concrete. In order to decrease the water absorption by the fibers, they were treated with polypropylene (PP) in solution, to waterproof the fiber and to guarantee the resistance to the requested stresses of the structural concrete. Three types of structural concrete were obtained: structural concrete without fiber addition, structural concrete with 8 % by volume addition of bamboo fibers, and structural concrete with 8 % by volume addition of steel fibers. The different types of concrete were characterized by mechanical, morphological and microstructural tests. The partial results showed that the different types of concrete can be classified as excellent and that the concrete containing steel fibers is more resistant although the reinforcement matrix interaction was higher for the concrete obtained with bamboo fibers coated with PP.

With the intent of better understanding and defining how large scale public spaces, in which esthetic connotation is based on form, are formed first as a concept and then physically, shall be presented in this work questions regarding the different classes of structural systems, construction materials, construction techniques, design techniques, as well as the cultural streams which have been a major influence on projects where the most representative architecture reveals itself.

O presente projeto teve como principal finalidade elaborar um livro-reportagem sobre a paixão dos torcedores de futebol no Brasil e suas inúmeras nuances. O esporte em questão tem um impacto muito grande na sociedade brasileira desde o Século XX, quase por inteiro. Tornou-se parte e representação da cultura no país, ao mesmo tempo que, pela facilidade da sua prática, é acessível desde a pequena idade. O seu desenvolvimento como atividade de massa fez com que clubes construíssem histórias centenárias e criassem vínculos emocionais quase que inabaláveis com milhões de pessoas. Essa relação entre clubes de futebol e torcedores é exatamente o tema do projeto, que mostra algumas das maneiras como tudo isso é representado na vida dos fãs do esporte e que impactos isso tem nas suas vidas pessoais. O processo de produção envolveu inicialmente o estudo sobre a história do futebol e de torcidas no Brasil, em seguida foram feitas as entrevistas para conhecer com detalhes a trajetória dos personagens como apaixonados por aquelas equipes. A união das histórias, separadas por temas em comum, culminou no livro-reportagem.

This study looks to analyze the theme: Economic Freedom and Human Development, based on the concepts of economic freedom and development and in the several studies that seek to identify this relation. To analyze this relationship, the countries that make up Latin America were chosen to identify the relationship between economic freedom and human development for this region. For this, the economic freedom index of the Fraser Instiute, the Index of Human Freedom developed by Ian Vasquez and Tanja Porcnik (2016) and the Human Development Index (HDI), calculated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for the period 2008-2014 for Latin America using panel data analysis technique. After observing the data, it was identified that the relationship between economic freedom and human development is low, suggesting that other variables interfere in this process. Therefore, it is indicated studies that can analyze other variables that may help in this relation.

This work aims to understand how architecture can contribute as a modifying element socioeconomic, through an intervention of degraded areas lacking basic infrastructure. The research aims to focus on the study of buildings that house educational and cultural activities and their impact on the urban environment in which they operate, in case of Centros Educacionais Unificados - CEU's (Unified Educational Centers), in São Paulo, and Parques Bibliotecas (Parks and Libraries) in Medellin, Colombia. In both cases, the study sought to understand the relationship of the building with its surroundings, especially with regard to the appropriation of users through the complex and changing urban landscape, access to infrastructure and equipment for culture and leisure, favoring the reduction in the violence and improving the quality of life of local people.

Algorithms for solving the classical optimization problem called traveling salesman problem are proposed. These algorithms are inspired on the fact that synapses connecting biological neurons can be altered as the time passes in function of the neuronal activity. Thus, analogies between neurons and cities to be visited by the salesman and between roads and synapses coupling neurons are made. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated by comparing the lengths of the paths produced by them with the length of the optimal solution. The results obtained in experiments performed by using randomly-generated instances and ten instances from a public database suggest that this is a promising approach.

This dissertation aimed to analyze the domain of learning to exert a mediating effect on the relationship between an individual absorptive capacity and an individual innovativeness to innovate in the development of a brand. Purpose of consideration: individual absorptive capacity, individual innovativeness and domain of learning (cognitive, affective and psychomotor). The domain - cognitive, affective and psychomotor are object of studies related to educational objectives (Krathwohl, 2002). The last two - affective and psychomotor - have not yet been approached with intensity in the studies on the absorptive capacity of the organizational knowledge. Thus, it is due to this gap of knowledge that the present study was developed. Others results: 1. Evaluate the intensity of predominance of individual absorptive capacity; 2. Evaluate the dominance intensity of cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain of learning in brand development; 3. Evaluate the intensity of individual innovativeness in brand development. The research method was used for the quantitative because a structured and closed questionnaire was applied. It is understood that this research was exploratory because, a priori, a literature review was not identified, which involves the relationship between an, individual absorptive capacity, individual innovativeness capacity and domain of learning. Considerations on the interpretation of a description, analysis and interpretation of the informants assessments of these constructs. The research was in a networks retailers / supermarkets located in São Paulo capital. Four large networks were surveyed with 76 respondents. In order to obtain the necessary information for an understanding of the phenomena studied, the informants were managers in the areas of brand development. Data collection was done in person through questionnaire questions and answers. The interviewee can be heard by himself and respond as questions online or physically. As a result of the research, identifying itself as a domain of learning enterprise as a mediating variable, or as an individual absorptive capacity and an individual innovativeness for innovation.

Prader-willi syndrome (pws) presents a complex clinical condition characterized by several alterations and endocrine, hypothalamic, metabolic, cognitive and behavioral disorders. One of the main symptoms of this disease is hyperphagia, being responsible for the increased risk for the development of obesity, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine and respiratory dysfunctions. Many behavior problems of people with pws are associated to hypothalamic dysfunctions related to inhibitory control that lead to development of behavior patterns of aggressiveness and manipulation for obtaining food. Caregivers of people with pws must establish environments with rigorous controls of food stimulation to avoid overstated caloric intakes. The objective of this study was to verify behavior problems and information of dietary intake of a group of people with prader-willi syndrome. The specific objectives were: a) verify the dietary intake of macronutrients and micronutrients, as well as the nutritional status of the group according to age groups. B) identify associations among dietary intake and nutritional monitoring of the group according to age groups. C) verify and compare behavior problems and associations with dietary intake among age groups. The study adopted a cross-sectional design and was composed by a sample of 22 people of both genders with pws (children, adolescents and adults aged at least 1 year old and maximum of 22) and their caregivers (project approved by ethics committee in research with human beings as the protocol - process cep/upm caae n. 34649314.2.0000.0084). The instruments of data collection were: a) instruments of nutritional, behavioral and physical assessment belonging to the protocol of evaluation of people with pws of department of kinesiology of college ofhealth and human development of california state university, fullerton; b) nutrition screen and intake form; c) 24-hour recall (24hr); d) verification of body mass index (bmi); e) brief problem monitor - parent form for ages 6-18 (bpm-p). The main results indicate the prevalence of several behavior problems assessed by instruments that evaluate this variable, with predominance of this problems in the group above 11 years old. Similar data were obtained regarding the dietary intake. More than 80% of total sample performed nutritional monitoring, however were verified indicative correlation that the greater the age, greater the dietary intake, especially of macronutrients. Also the higher age group makes a greater number of meals out home. In adolescence and adult age Externalizing behavior problems as challenge, aggressiveness and perserverative answers characterized more consistently the behavioral phenotype of pws. These are problems that when associated with the main symptom of disease, hyperphagia, complicate the management of people with pws, especially in relation to food access. It s likely that increased intake of macronutrients, especially energy and lipids, are associated with these behavior problems in people with pws over 11 years old. It's concluded from data that in the sample there are indicators of behavior problems and dietary intake that require multiprofessional interventions on people with pws and their family members focusing on dietary/nutritional, psychological, endocrinological and family social aspects.

This material debates the mainly aspects regarding to the Repercussion General of the Extraordinary Review, included on the legal system by Constitutional Amendment 45, called Judiciary Restructure. After analyzing of the events of applicability and purpose of the Extraordinary, as well as the reasons that make the institution of the requirement of admissibility subject of the present study, the text will specify the features of the institute prior of the Repercussion General Constitutional, foreseen in the constitutional system prior, as well as legal instruments used by another Constitutionals Courts to separate the demands submitted to the its analyze. However, the material will clarify the rules of the requirement of admissibility, included on the Civil Process Code and Internal Bylaws Supreme Court, demonstrating its aspects and, moreover, the subjects that possibly will be able of complying its demands, debating, then, the modifications that the Repercussion General Constitutional of the Extraordinary Review will be able to promote in the line relative to the control diffuse of constitutionality and, therefore, reflecting under possible consequences that new legal type could bring to the evolution of Supreme Court s jurisprudences positions.

In the face of technological advancements, growing demand for audiovisual content and changes in media consumption habits, production companies have the need to develop new and efficient platforms for their content distribution, seeking greater coverage, flexibility in delivery and therefore, quality of user experience. In this context, the broadcast industry needs to review its processes and reduce its operational costs in the content distribution stage to be competitive, in a global player market break paradigms has become fundamental. With the aim to find alternatives to solve the problem that the industry faces and to contribute to facilitate the decision making in the analysis of new technologies implementation, the use of multicriteria decision-making methods minimizes the possibility of errors, mitigating the risks and increasing effectiveness in the decision-making process. From the competitive dimensions based on the Operations Strategy, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied to determine the scenario that presents the best result according to the previously defined competitive variables. Once the best alternative was selected, the GUT matrix was applied to prioritize the actions, enabling and accelerating the implementation of it, as well as supporting the process improvement and effectiveness. For the research development, experts and stakeholders opinions were collected, deal with the novelty in the application of a new technology, conflicting stakeholders interests and different variables in the decision process are the challenges that must be overcome for the choice and success implementation of a new content distribution platform. Thus, with a structured mapping and a complete view of the process, two distinct implementation steps were adopted sequentially. As a result, a first solution was proposed with the reducing operational costs aim, as well as serving as the basis and structure for a second intervention, which seeks new models and business opportunities.
