High Dynamic Range (HDR) images of radiographies: modern digital replacement of negatoscopes?
With this paper we are presenting a new promising approach to digitalization of radiographic image in film, using common photographic cameras as device to digitalize with different levels of exposure (allowing, in some cases, to read information from the darker/denser areas of the image) and combining those images with the new technique of High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging, increasing this way the exposure latitude of the final image. This new approach is possible today because the most recent generations of image treatment software present this new feature. Examples of software presenting this tool are the market leader Adobe Photoshop (presenting this HDR capacity since CS2 version) or the most HDR specialized Photomatix, among others. The resulting images seem to show in somecases more interesting results than the single pass digitalization of images, with or without post-processing improvement, and can in some cases be a good alternative to the use of negatoscopes on the exam of radiographies.

Institute of specialized ombudsman vs dispute resolution with participation of a judge: current situation and development prospect
Ukrainian institutions that would facilitate alternative dispute resolution have been in the process of establishment since Ukraine's independence in 1991. At present, only the activity of arbitration courts is regulated in Ukraine by law as an alternative way of resolving disputes. Since 2010, there have been repeated attempts to create financial ombudsman institute. The first ideas of creating business ombudsman institute date back to 2013. This type of ombudsman has been in operation since 2014 and can be considered the most successful and effective both now and in the near future. Currently in Ukraine, there are also the following types of specialized ombudsmen: insurance, energy, language and education ones. Dispute settlement with the participation of a judge was introduced in civil litigation as an alternative method of dispute resolution in 2017. This institution provides the parties of the conflict with additional opportunities for faster and more effective settlement of the dispute. At present, this institution is not very widely used in practice, but in the coming years it will become more popular. The example of the activities of specialized ombudsman institutions and dispute resolution with the participation of a judge shows that Ukraine is adopting the world's best dispute resolution practices that will contribute to a faster, more effective resolution of the conflict without trial.

Identification of lacunae in a wood painting: comparative analysis of classification methods in GIS-based spatial analysis
In this text some GIS-based spatial analysis methods are presented, enabling the quantification of areas with white lacunae in a 16th century wood painting. With an imageproduced during a conservation/restoration intervention, and applying a principal component analysis (PCA) as well as several classificators, thematic maps of the lacunae were created. Four methods were used: automatic division of histogram in intervals (level slicing); alimiarization (thresholding); a supervised classification method based in the productionof training areas, a spectral signature and a maximum likelihood classification; and anunsupervised classification method with a cell aggregation algorithm (iso cluster). In the conditions under which essays were made, best results in the identification of lacunae were obtained with the limiarization (thresholding) and the supervised classification methods.

Do emotions drive psychosis?
Introduction: How important is the emotional life of persons who manifest psychotic symptoms? Aims: The aim of this paper is to review evidence on a causal role for emotions in psychotic processes. Methods: Selective review of literature on affective symptoms in psychoses, on emotions in the production of psychotic symptoms and on dopaminergic models of psychosis. Results: Affective symptoms are relevant across psychoses. Persons with schizophrenia have high levels of emotional reactivity and the intensification of negative affects not only is associated with but also precedes the intensification of psychotic symptoms, which is evidence that negative emotions drive the course of psychotic symptoms. Negative self‑representations are central in psychotic processes and can be the link between negative emotions and psychosis. Evidence favours the notion that persecutory delusions are consistent with negative affects and self‑representations, while grandiose delusions are consistent with a defensive amplification of positive affects and self‑representations. Shame has been proposed as the core emotional experience of psychosis, one in which the self becomes vulnerable to the external world, which is consistent with persecutory experiences. Assaults on the self, under the form of hostility in the family environment and society, are strong predictors of relapse and development of schizophrenia. Assaults on the self which induce social defeat are also strong stimulants of mesolimbic dopaminergic pathways, whose hyperactivity is associated with acute psychotic episodes and the experience of “aberrant salience”, put forward as a dopaminergic model of psychosis. Conclusions: The “defeat of the self” emerges as a central link that binds the experience of negative emotions to the expression of psychotic symptoms and its psychological and neurobiological correlates. The hypothesis gains support that the emotions related to that defeat control the expression of a vulnerability to defeat and thus drive the course of psychosis.

The paintings on the coffered ceilings choir of the old St. Salvador Ramalde’s church: investigate to intervene
The St. Salvador of Ramalde Church’s nave has a coffered ceiling with forty-five paintings representing a cycle of pictures, executed by an artistic company. Overall, the ceiling was in a state of preservation considered unstable, with many pathologies not only in the structure, but also in the paintings and in the frames. Before the urgent intervention of conservation and restoration an important effort was made to focus the research in documentary sources and also in the history and architecture of the building. It was also performed a preliminary scientific study on ten coffered paintings in the choir area, using tests and analysis, in order to identify the materials and techniques used, to better apply the conservation methods.

SA 8000 as a Tool for a Sustainable Development Strategy
ABSTRACT In today’s global markets, issues related to environmental sustainability, ethics, working environment conditions and safety, stakeholders’ relations and the protection of workers’ rights have greater importance on business performances. For this reason, the aim of this research is to analyze the concept of corporate social responsibility, investigating the perception of Italian companies about Social Accountability 8000, a voluntary International Standard used as a tool to certify companies’ commitment on social aspects. The survey began September 15, 2016 and answers were accepted until November 15, 2016. Two hundred twenty-one Italian SA8000 certified companies participated to the survey reaching a response rate of 20.4%. Using a questionnaire submitted to certified companies, the main reasons which have driven companies to certification have been investigated, highlighting that the motivations which drive companies to be certified are both of an internal and external type: an improved image is the first, followed by the willingness to have a better working environment. Among the experienced benefits resulted from the study there are ‘reduction of labor conflicts’ and ‘achievement of a competitive advantage over competitors’, while limitations seem to be scarcely perceived and are defined especially by the lack of staff and management training. Measuring fund performance using multi-factor models: evidence for the Portuguese market
This paper examines the performance of Portuguese equity funds investing in the domestic and in the European Union market, using several unconditional and conditional multi-factor models. In terms of overall performance, we find that National funds are neutral performers, while European Union funds under-perform the market significantly. These results do not seem to be a consequence of management fees. Overall, our findings are supportive of the robustness of conditional multi-factor models. In fact, Portuguese equity funds seem to be relatively more exposed to smallcaps and more value-oriented. Also, they present strong evidence of time-varying betas and, in the case of the European Union funds, of time-varying alphas too. Finally, in terms of market timing, our tests suggest that mutual fund managers in our sample do not exhibit any market timing abilities. Nevertheless, we find some evidence of timevarying conditional market timing abilities but only at the individual fund level.

Uma Abordagem para a Geração de Casos de Teste Baseada em Modelos
Abstract — The analytical methods based on evaluation models of interactive systems were proposed as an alternative to user testing in the last stages of the software development due to its costs. However, the use of isolated behavioral models of the system limits the results of the analytical methods. An example of these limitations relates to the fact that they are unable to identify implementation issues that will impact on usability. With the introduction of model-based testing we are enable to test if the implemented software meets the specified model. This paper presents an model-based approach for test cases generation from the static analysis of source code.

GUI Inspection from Source Code Analysis
Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) are critical components of todays software. Given their increased relevance, correctness and usability of GUIs are becoming essential. This paper describes the latest results in the development of our tool to reverse engineer the GUI layer of interactive computing systems. We use static analysis techniques to generate models of the user interface behaviour from source code. Models help in graphical user interface inspection by allowing designers to concentrate on its more important aspects. One particularly type of model that the tool is able to generate is state machines. The paper shows how graph theory can be useful when applied to these models. A number of metrics and algorithms are used in the analysis of aspects of the user interface's quality. The ultimate goal of the tool is to enable analysis of interactive system through GUIs source code inspection.

GUI Behavior from Source Code Analysis
When developing interactive applications, considering the correctness of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) code is essential. GUIs are critical components of today's software, and contemporary software tools do not provide enough support for ensuring GUIs' code quality. GUIsurfer, a GUI reverse engineering tool, enables evaluation of behavioral properties of user interfaces. It performs static analysis of GUI code, generating state machines that can help in the evaluation of interactive applications. This paper describes the design, software architecture, and the use of GUIsurfer through an example. The tool is easily re-targetable, and support is available to Java/Swing, and WxHaskell. The paper sets the ground for a generalization effort to consider rich internet applications. It explores the GWT web applications' user interface programming toolkit.

O Balanced Scorecard e a Gestão Ambiental

A Generic Library for GUI Reasoning and Testing
Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) make software easy to use by providing the user with visual controls. Therefore, correctness of GUI's code is essential to the correct execution of the overall software. Models can help in the evaluation of interactive applications by allowing designers to concentrate on its more important aspects. This paper presents a generic model for language-independent reverse engineering of graphical user interface based applications, and we explore the integration of model-based testing techniques in our approach, thus allowing us to perform fault detection. A prototype tool has been constructed, which is already capable of deriving and testing a user interface behavioral model of applications written in Java/Swing.
