O texto retoma a experiência da autora como aluna e orientanda de Michel de Certeau na Paris da década de 1970, tocada pela efervescência política do maio de 68. Apresentam-se reflexões sobre a importância do professor, tanto de suas análises teóricas, quanto de seu espírito livre e anticonvencional, bem como ponderações sobre sua formação e sobre o feitio de sua antropologia.

Este artigo retira da obra de Michel de Certeau indicações a respeito do lugar do corpo na ação política e nos processos de transformação social, colocando em foco a persistência nos escritos do autor de referências à corporalidade como dimensão fundamental da experiência mística, das operações de produção de conhecimento, da política das ruas de maio de 1968 e da inventividade da vida cotidiana. Destacamos assim a centralidade dessa dimensão na conceituação das práticas na perspectiva do autor e no uso que faz da função poética da linguagem como chave de reflexão sobre a ação social. Apontando a atualidade e possíveis usos contemporâneos dessas proposições, refletimos sobre algumas práticas de protesto dos estudantes secundaristas paulistas no ano de 2015, observando como tiram partido da mobilidade sempre irredutível das estruturas de saber e poder, fazendo uso, em ações disruptivas, de práticas corporais cotidianas supostamente normalizadas pela disciplina escolar.

This paper deals with the conflicting character of the streets as public spaces, namely through the analysis of the uses and unsubmissive daily practices which defy the disciplinary order of urban interventions in historical cities. By taking Barcelona's historical center as an empirical reference, the analysis is based on Michel de Certeau's theory of practices and aims at understanding the disjunctive uses of spaces in the city through contemporary processes of gentrification.

The general problem of this essay is to keep pursuing the historiographical appropriations of time by the ancients and the moderns, an issue I have been dealing with since previous researches. Specifically, I intend to develop a conceptual genealogy of the literary motif made popular by Cicero, that History is the master of life: historia magistra vitae. This long-term analysis is necessary as a condition to perceive the different receptions, perceptions and retractions that this constitution acquired until it reached our times. In this long crossing, I aim at mapping situations in which historia magistra vitae converts itself in the twin images of authority and tradition and, finally, in belief. These two images, when allied to historical determinations of time and its discursive shapes, have the ability to produce explanations to the historical movement of past and present, a typically silent movement, whose effects create distinct means of understanding of the experience of lived time.

This article concerns the “whisper of societies”, that is the ordinary of days of the anonymous heroes of industrials societies. By assuming the posture of “braconnage” with the work of Michel de Certeau, we suggest at first the critical use of the metaphor proposed by Milton Santos in order to speak of the poor in modernity (the “slow men”) before creating a dialog with the work of sociologist Jean Duvignaud. Duvignaud suggests the observation of anomic situations as a way of observing the lost language of a society. After showing the ways in which the control of speed in the industrial era (also called “mechanical age”) turned slowness into a stigma associated to dominated groups, we present the ruses by which slow men make of slowness an element of resistance (slowing down the pace of work, going on strike…) or re-existence (in music and dances).

Defendendo a importância de Michel de Certeau para a antropologia contemporânea, o artigo sugere afinidades da teoria das práticas do autor com certas formulações de Michael Herzfeld e Tim Ingold. Associada a essa análise, apresenta-se ainda uma reflexão de cunho pessoal sobre o modo como a leitura de Certeau auxiliou a redefinir as próprias pesquisas da autora.

However, this understanding of childhood was not experienced by the generations of grandparents and mothers of the children of the contemporary generation. This denial is mainly based on the need imposed on them by early work and by the total or partial absence of schooling. Different from their predecessors, the current generation of children is determined by schooling and largely absent from child labor, which has been an important change in the way childhood is experienced in this context. The present text will reflect on these changes that reverberate in a greater attention to children in the rural environment and arise from a process of institutionalization of childhood. This process gains strength from the implementation of social programs of conditional income transfer, such as the Bolsa Família Program, which in this context has been changing, among other things, the place of socialization of rural children in relation to generational processes.

No encontro colonial, duas formas de relação institucionalizada, as relações de compadrio cristão e as de afinidade potencial ameríndia, encontraram uma tal semelhança que puderam traduzir-se uma na outra. Partindo de uma leitura da sugestão de Salvatore D’Onofrio de um “átomo de parentesco espiritual” para explicar o compadrio, pretendo sugerir que as duas instituições evocam o mesmo tipo de armadura sociológica. Antes que a substituição do parentesco tradicional, acredito que o parentesco espiritual tenha uma relação de sobreposição e superação dos laços familiares. Avanço a hipótese de que esse tipo de relação institucionalizada estaria na base de toda relação política.

Being in charge of public programs provides political mediators with resources that may give them political prominence – as pointed out in the literature. However, my goal in this article is to show how power can also bring disqualification, by allowing accusations as a way to control the political powers and undermine prominent leaderships. Thus, I tried to keep up with the way political clashes worked in the execution of a public program, depicting the mediators' activities during the process. Being at the most distinguished position as a mediator would require the power to control the surrounding opinions, bringing up doubts that are not always verifiable. Honor and dishonor would consist in succeeding or not in controlling the doubt spread among political behaviors.

Uma resenha escrita a quatro mãos e uma proposta de exposição museológica colaborativa: como “tecer saberes” entrelaçando caminhos, no árduo processo de tornar comensuráveis mundos, ideias e experiên-cias? As expectativas de produção colaborativa estão presentes em uma resenha escrita em conjunto, assim como na exposição museológica de curadoria compartilhada. 

Este texto apresenta a história, o papel e os desafios dos trabalhos sociopedagógicos desenvolvidos pelo Fanprojekt (“Projeto Torcedor”) na transformação criativa e pacífica dos conflitos no futebol alemão e discute sua recepção no debate público sobre a violência no futebol brasileiro. Ao promover essa discussão, analisa em que medida e como ele pode servir de alternativa para a nossa realidade. Para alcançar esses objetivos, fizemos um levantamento bibliográfico sobre o tema e realizamos pesquisa de campo na Alemanha. Entre outras coisas, concluímos que o referido projeto nos indica a necessidade de as autoridades públicas e do futebol desenvolverem projetos sociopedagógicos dirigidos aos torcedores organizados brasileiros, estabelecer novos canais de comunicação com eles e valorizar seus aspectos positivos.

This article approaches Matses notions and practices regarding the growth and constitution of persons, which, on their turn, play a part in what has been called the constitution of Amerindian kinship. I seek to show how relations established with extra-social subjects – plants and animals – are also part of the production of Matses kinship and personhood, and how this process differentiates the circle of close kin internally, including in terms of gender. Thus, the constitution of the Matses person, both male and female, is achieved through “consubstantialization” with both kin and other subjects. The Matses variant of Pano dualism has been generally approached from a sociologial perspective, expressed in patrilineal halfs representing the inside and the outside of society; female and male values. I propose to recast the bëdibo-macubo Matses dualism in terms of kinship production and kin differentiation.
