This study a im stoverify the importance of audiovisual in the preservation of memory and heritage. To this end, we study the village of Santa Thereza in Bagé RS, valuing the actions of organized civil society and its struggle for the preservation of this cultural heritage. Presents a study that attentive to the community that in habits this village and its report sthrough the orality captured in documentary film format. It is the purpose of this research, in the context of audiovisual production, to conceive it in a collective process, leading the local actors them selves, through the pedagogical practices of the project “invent with Difference”, which unites cinema, education and human rights, issues that hus like heritage, are present every where. It looks at how audiovisual production can be considered a museum the memory. The work permeates the trajectory of Associação Pró Santa Thereza, a collective of voluntary women that protects the heritage and inspires ways of pointing paradigms in society, in the context of hypermodernity. It presents a trace of the history of Vila de Santa Thereza, which arises with the founding of a Charqueada at the end of the 19th century, founded in 1897 by a Portuguese immigrant named Antônio Nunes de Ribeiro Magalhães, until there signification of space and your survival. The work observes there main ingresidents of charqueada, realizing the importance of individual and collective memory in that space and its recognition as heritage. At the time, the rewas a cultural and religious life through the actions carried out at the Santo Antônio The aterand Santa Thereza D'Avila Chapel, which were part of the complex built around the jerked beef business. Work, culture, and religiosity drove an active community life thats hared attention with the city of Bagé, the State, and Brazil until the end of the charque's economic cycle in 1960. There after, more than 30 years of oblivion, this space reappears at the hands of the arduous volunteering of this Association.

This paper presents a study on the elements of memory, culture, and heritage in photographic records of Colégio Centenário. Through this, we seek to emphasize the importance of the composition, organization, and maintenance of Colégio Centenário’s photographic archive as a way to preserve the cultural heritage and safekeep the memories of the institution over the years. The school lost all of its collections after a fire accident in 2007. Although still in full operation, it was necessary to organize the photographic heritage in such a way as to include its temporal, cultural, and historical references, especially the oldest ones. Colégio Centenário follows a humanist philosophy that was born in the Methodist movement in England. The school was founded in 1922, by American Methodist missionaries who, through the principles of the Methodist Church, sought to meet the spiritual, intellectual, cultural, social, and material demands of society. It is understood that the construction of an archive, and later the production of a selective catalog, will give visibility its presence as a historical institution in the center of Rio Grande do Sul. For that purpose, we approached archive organization as well as a research-oriented methodology that was characterized as exploratory, descriptive, and qualitative. The literature review proves that through the composition and organization of the archive it is possible to recall the main moments of Colégio Centenário as a historical and cultural heritage through the photographic records.

This present study originates from author’s personal concern about the treatment of documentary records of the cemeteries activities of the six public necropolises of the city of Santa Maria (RS) and the quantity and quality of the information made available to them. The temporal goal covers the range from 2017 to early 2020. This is a study on the analog and digital documents of municipal cemeteries in the urban area of Santa Maria (RS). As exploratory instruments, techniques of visits to cemetery documentary collections, informal interviews, observation and bibliographic research were used to identify the types of documents produced and received at such institutions and how users are given access to information. This work aimed to analyze how the records and information are organized in analog and digital documents of municipal cemeteries in the urban area of Santa Maria (RS).The final product of this work will be the elaboration of a heritage education proposal through different “Literatura de Cordel”, to be used as a cultural diffusion in public cemeteries in the city of Santa Maria (RS).

At a time of extreme concern about water scarcity, the use of sensors to estimate soil water content is of great importance. Quick decisions, using instant data, are the basis for managing water resources and making decisions in the multiple uses of water. However commercial platforms are still very expensive and the development of more accessible systems is essential. In this way, the objective of the study was to verify factors that interfere in the calibration of capacitive sensors v1.2 to estimate the water content in the soil using the Arduino platform. Firstly, a sensor calibration bench was built, consisting of a total of 18 sets (sensors + soil sample) for data collection and storage. After this step, three types of soil were collected at two different depths and three different volumes of samples, where they were later saturated and left to dry on balances on the calibration bench. To evaluate the results obtained, statistical resources were used, such as: Pearson Correlation Analysis (r), Simple Linear Regression, 2nd Order Polynomial Regression, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Willmott Index (Iw) and Performance Index ( Id). It was possible to verify that factors such as soil type, sample volume and the time interval between collections affect the final result in the performance of these sensors.

The materialization of cultural heritage, which is responsible for the identification of social groups, happened in the state of Rio Grande do Sul as a consequence of its ethnic and cultural diversity. Among the different themes included in thes research, cultural studies is emphasized because a clear understading of ethnic and cultural diversity is necessary to comprehend current form and function. Based on that, the main goal of this research is to analyse the gastronomic establishments built by the Italian descendantes in the former colony of Silveira Martins/RS, which includes the following towns: Silveira Martins, Ivorá, Faxinal do Soturno, São João do Polêsine, Dona Francisca, Nova Palma, Pinhal Grande and Arroio Grande, this last one is a district that belongs to Santa Maria. The research aims: a) to develop a relation between eating habits and ethnicity in order to identify the main gastronomic characteristics of the cultural group being studied. b) to create a database about the local gastronomy and to register the traditional cultural heritage through a commented photography collection, which helps to materialize the memory of the social group and the local studied; and; c) Spatialize the main ethnic commercial sectores a subsidy to propose a cultural gastronomic route for the Silveira Martins colony and d) to create a blog to advertise the local cuisine, made in the central region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The researched was developed in different parts. First concepts were studied and organized through bibliographical research. Then data were collected, which helped to understand the culture identity of the local gastronomy. After this, a field research was conducted through which in loco analysis was made and data were collected. Finally, in order to advertise the theme of the research, based on the gathered information, a blog about the gastronomic spatialization process of the traditional and cultural Italian area located in the center of the state of Rio Grande do Sul was created. The main purpose of this blog is to show local uniqueness of the Italian ethnicity context.

La investigación tiene como objetivo resaltar la importancia de preservar el patrimonio documental del Sector Cultural de la Escuela para el Mejoramiento de los Sargentos de Armas (EASA), ubicado en la ciudad de Cruz Alta-RS y su memoria, a través de medidas preventivas de conservación. Estas medidas guían las acciones que se pueden tomar para minimizar los efectos degenerativos de los documentos que ya están en proceso de deterioro, o que aún se producirán y permanecerán accesibles durante todo el tiempo previsto para su custodia, con el objetivo de preservar estas fuentes. acceso histórico y habilitador a información que puede usarse como base para la reconstrucción de la memoria de la institución, así como la memoria colectiva con la comunidad Desde la creación de los primeros cuarteles y regimientos de infantería en 1908 hasta la actualidad en la Escuela de Mejoramiento de los Sargentos de Armas, el Ejército brasileño ha estado presente en la historia de la población del municipio de Cruz Alta-RS. Es muy común que los visitantes lleguen a la guarnición de Cruz Alta y escuchen las historias que rodean los cuarteles en algún hecho o contexto histórico de la ciudad, la región e incluso Brasil, que a menudo se transmite por vía oral, y que en algunos casos, puede se accede buscando en los documentos que prueban las narraciones contadas por los residentes más antiguos de la ciudad, muchos de ellos incluso desde el corazón de la ciudad. Preservar la memoria que une a la comunidad local y al Ejército es esencial para que sea recordado y difundido a las generaciones futuras. Las fuentes que registran una gran parte de la memoria institucional están en manos del sector cultural de EASA, que es responsable de la custodia permanente de los documentos. El estudio se desarrolló en el sitio y tiene un carácter exploratorio, siguiendo un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo de los datos recopilados, que, en el curso de la investigación, buscaron observar el patrimonio documental, los espacios culturales de EASA, así como también fue posible hacer un diagnóstico de la colección, cómo explorar y cuantificar la tipología documental, además de determinar las condiciones físicas de la colección y el proceso de gestión de documentos. La información fue esencial para elaborar un Manual de medidas simples de conservación preventiva para las colecciones en papel y medios audiovisuales, considerando las necesidades y características de la colección documental. Las indicaciones adoptadas por el Manual apuntan a extender el ciclo de vida de los documentos, la preservación de la memoria y la historia de los bienes patrimoniales bajo custodia. La conservación de los materiales facilita el acceso a la información y proporciona condiciones para una mayor conciencia de los involucrados por el Sector Cultural sobre la importancia del patrimonio documental para la comunidad actual y para las generaciones futuras.

The study of heritage education in the teaching of history is justified as the conception of cultural concepts linked to the idea of socially produced identity values, seeks to reflect on the meaning of cultural, material and immaterial heritage, culture, identity and memory for groups and basic education institutions. For the development of this research, we sought to reflect on the importance of teaching history in basic education from the heritage education methodology. Considering that the structuring of knowledge is based on existing concepts and that history is not only learned at school, but also in non-formal teaching spaces, the objective is to offer basic education teachers subsidies to the conceptual contents of cultural heritage, identity, memory, in order to help you establish a more direct relationship with the reality close to the students' experiences. School museums can be an excellent tool for pedagogical actions in history classes. Thus, our proposal aims to develop a didactic instrument for teachers of basic education based on heritage education actions, in order to understand how those exhibitions can generate knowledge. Given the importance of this history, this product may contribute, to know the memory of the city of Santa Maria, through research, heritage education and the dissemination of the school’s museums collections, resulting in knowledge and appreciation of these memory spaces by the school community and population. Conclusively, it is desired that the student perceives his role as a historical subject of his city, and collaborates in the construction of educational actions regarding the preservation, conservation, restoration and maintenance of patrimonial assets of the city of Santa Maria.

This work aimed to review cultural heritage, heritage education and souvenirs, aiming to reflect the importance of recognizing, valuing and preserving the heritage of the Federal University of Santa Maria, in the municipality of Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. The modernist architecture of the buildings, the works of art present in the panels and sculptures, and also the history and memory of the founder, were considered. José Mariano da Rocha Filho, when he brought to Santa Maria the first public university in the interior of Brazil in 1960. In order to highlight different elements, present in the material heritage of the university, it was sought from the souvenir to present products with commercialization potential. The study is configured as qualitative, exploratory, systematized based on the following stages: state of the art of theses, dissertations and scientific articles produced in the last ten years, focusing on the cultural heritage of UFSM; bibliographic review of the topics relevant to research; on-the-spot surveys with a photographic record of the cultural assets at the headquarters campus and also of the artifacts sold by the responsible sector at the university; application of a qualitative/quantitative online questionnaire, using the Google Forms tool, an electronic form created and made available at an electronic address, sent from February 3rd to March 6th, 2020, with a sample of 375 participants who have/had some type of link with UFSM. In the analysis of the results, the importance of the souvenir was evidenced as a potential element regarding the social-cultural-educational-environmental-economic-touristic aspects related to the recognition and valorization of the university's heritage. As the final product of this dissertation, we chose to propose three models of souvenirs highlighted in the research results, as suggestions of souvenirs representative of the institution's architectural, artistic and cultural heritage.

Infrabony defects are anatomic defects that overtake attachment periodontal tissues and can differ in extension and severity. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to estimate the prevalence and extension of infrabony defects in a rural population of South of Brazil. Periodontal clinical exams, such as Gingival Bleeding Index (GBI), Visible Plaque Index (VPI), Probing depth (PD), Bleeding on probing (BoP), and Clinical Attachment Level (CAL) in six sites per tooth, except in third molars. Data of full set periapical radiographs were as a method of defects diagnostic, such as for measuring of depth and angle of vertical loss bone. Of the 584 individuals who had entire clinical and radiographic exams, 178 were evaluated.The evaluations were performed by a trained and calibrated examiner.The prevalence of infrabony defects was 95.5%, been in the region anterior mandibular (36.65%) the major presence of these lesions. Until 5 infrabony defects were observed in 73.03% of individuals, 21.91% had 6-10 defects, and 5.5% had 11-18 (Extension). The infrabonyaverage depth was 2,75mm and 89.5% with an angle <33°. A comprehensive description of the prevalence of these conditions can help in strategies of prevention and treatment atthe population level.

This paper sought to investigate the possibilities and challenges that a training process based on the Freire-CTS-Andragogy principles presents to the knowledge and practices of educators in the area of Natural Sciences who work in YAE. Through this path, it is initially presented a look at the productions that contemplate such assumptions in their contents from the analysis carried out in the minutes of events and theses and dissertations portals, signaling what has been done and how such aspects have been produced. Subsequently, the theoretical references that guided the planning and implementation of the training process are presented. The research developed is Participant Research with a qualitative nature, in which the training process was implemented with educators in the area of Natural Sciences who work in the YAE (young and adults education) in a public school in the city of Caçapava do Sul, based on the dynamics of the Three Pedagogical Moments as structuring of critical curricula. The Reality Study allowed the planning to be structured from the following generating question: How to promote the generation of jobs and improvements in public health in the city of Caçapava do Sul? The thematic units discussed in the classes comprise: Health and Pandemic, Tourist hotspots and Geopark and Mining. The analysis took place from the Discursive Textual Analysis through emerging categories to the process. Among the results, we point out the relevance and complementarity that the articulations around the theoretical assumptions Freire- CTS-Andragogy brought to the knowledge and practices of the educator subjects, so that they created paths for the construction of a curricular reorganization for Teaching of Sciences in YAE from a Reality Study. We also present important considerations that permeated the development of this research in the emerging context of a pandemic era, which brought challenges in this path, but which weaves important reflections and contributions to what refers to the Teaching of Science in YAE.

The National High School Examination (ENEM), instituted as a public policy related to Higher Education access since 2009, as well as the traditional entrance exams, end up conditioning the teaching of History of formal and informal, public and private, education institutions. The impacts can be perceived in the choices of the evaluation methods and the programmatic contents worked on. This work presents the development of a use possibility of the History’s questions of ENEM in the History teaching associated with a reflexive evaluative practice focused on interculturality. In this perspective, the interculturalism, in addition to recognizing diversity, proposes the integration and transformation of the social agents involved, including the teaching and learning processes. The research emerged from a bibliographic survey about the referred themes and their respective concepts, starting from that, a brief historicization of the History teaching and the evaluation was elaborated, highlighting Brazilian aspects, and finally, a profound survey about specificities and concepts of Interculturality and Evaluation, considering their variations and characteristics, was carried out. In order to contextualize the work, the main elements of the structure, scope and impacts of ENEM were presented. Based on that, the following subjects were selected: Heritage and Identity Education, and Indigenous and Afro-Brazilian themes, these subjects were references in the choices of the issues to be worked on. After the theoretical discussion, a selection of four guiding axes was presented, which served as an instrument for the reading and problematization of the ENEM’s issues chosen in the work.
