Sioma Breitman, a vida com retoques: história oral, narrativa e arqueologias das mídias na construção de trajetórias de vida
The thesis Sioma Bretiman, life with touches: oral history, narrative and medias archeologies in the construction of life trajectory investigate the memories about the Ukrainian immigrant Sioma Breitman (1903-1980). The study brings as a research problem: how can the imagery powers of the “memory media” produced by Sioma be mobilized to build her life narrative? The research tries to understand woh the imagetic powers of the media of memory (ASSMANN, 2011) that he constructed can be awakened and mobilized to build his life narrative. Sioma began his career as a retoucher of negatives and is considered one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century in Rio Grande do Sul. He is remembered as a photographer of tradition for having made portraits of the Porto Alegre elite, especially of brides, historical photographs, and having participated in salons in different countries. However, there are aspects of Sioma's work that have never been studied. It is to them that this research is dedicated. Among these works are an album of a military maneuver in 1940, his work in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul where he outlined communication strategies to promote his work, and what I call “window cinema”, films he made in Santa Maria under the title Cine Jornal Aurora and exhibited in the windows of his photographic studio. Since this is an unexplored theme, I seek support in oral history, narrative research, and I add myself to the studies of media archeology. In this path, I resort to bibliographic and documental research, and appropriate different images and texts, be they Sioma's films, a documentary made about him, newspaper clippings, articles he published, his self-portraits, photographs, and an autobiography written by the photographer. In this way, text, orality, and images add up to investigate his practices, identify his strategies. I propose to construct and re-signify memories about Sioma's trajectory, based on a narrative that activates the multiple dimensions of photography and the powers of different ‘memory media”. The research shows how he left Ukraine, how he sought to make his work known by projecting images of the city in his shop window and encouraging people to make “movies of their lives”. The result is a narrative that is not only a new approach about this character who was able, for example, to collect five autographs by Getúlio Vargas in one of his portraits. I build the trajectory and seeks to understand what he chooses to preserve about himself and the time as it investigates how “memory media” that Sioma produced.

Estratégias de Gerenciamento pelo Lado de Demanda aplicadas aos consumidores comerciais do Grupo A4 considerando a inserção de geração distribuída e análises tarifárias
This Master’s Dissertation presents on the technical and financial impacts of the application of strategies Demand Side Management (DSM) in commercial consumers of the Group A4, considering the insertion of Distributed Generation (DG), analyzing the manageable loads and the tariff analysis of the Group A: Green and Blue. For the application of strategies DSM, the techniques of load displacement per hour used for peak reduction, with the objective of manipulating consumption during peak hours. With this, DG considered strategies of the DSM. As well as, the tariff analysis, to enable the application of the strategy DSM because it is a dynamic hourly tariff in the commercial consumer. As a simulation tool was used the Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables software (HOMER). Which has as purpose the technical and economic analysis for the application of the strategies DSM in the commercial consumer, taking into consideration the insertion of the DG (using solar energy as a source of electricity generation, managing loads and having an energy storage system with batteries in it), as well as the tariff analysis. Mainly, it concluded in this work that the analysis of the electrical system on the commercial consumer, together with a planning of strategies DSM and insertion of DG, contributed to greater energy efficiency, as well as financial savings for the consumer and optimization of the electrical system. However, it is important to emphasize the importance of these new technologies, which are favored with the expansion of Intelligent Electric Networks (REI) and Distributed Generation.

Avaliação do impacto da inserção de geração fotovoltaica no fator de potência em sistemas de distribuição
With the growing interest of consumers of electric energy for the benefits brought by the Distributed Generation (DG), there is a concern about the impact that such insertion will bring to the distribution networks. After the changes brought to the sector by the Normative Resolution (REN) 687/15 of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), which led to the rapid growth of the sector in the country, there was a need for studies to mitigate the technical and commercial impacts that this type of generation brings to the electricity sector. One of the points impacted by the insertion of generation with the load is the power factor (PF). As DG's billing is focused on the active energy delivered to the network, the generating agent is not encouraged to control the generation PF, which is kept unitary in the generator, to produce only active energy. However, these consumers often also demand reactive energy, which necessarily needs to be provided by the grid, because, due to the lack of incentive, it is not generated by the DG units. As reactive energy is not billed to low voltage customers – only for the medium voltage, a technical and commercial problem arises, as this energy still causes losses and services to the concessionaire's network. Another point that can impact the PF of the grid, that is sometimes overlooked, is the level of harmonics entered by a consumer or generator. Thus, this work seeks to analyze the impact caused by the DG of a photovoltaic solar source on the PF of a distribution network with simulations through the OpenDSS software, through two case studies. The first case evaluates the consequences of the insertion of steps of active energy generation in the PF of the network, from the IEEE 37 bus system. Generation insertion steps are simulated with 10% power increments in relation to the installed load at each node, and the PF is analyzed at each simulation step. The second case evaluates the impact of harmonics insertion by photovoltaic inverters, through the implementation of a simple 225 kW three-phase load circuit and a 75 kW nominal power photovoltaic system, with measurements during the system's peak generation time. From this circuit, three different harmonics insertion scenarios are simulated, with low values found in commercial inverters, up to the limit values provided by regulations. From the analysis of the impact of the insertion of DG in the PF in the two case studies, it is concluded that the influence of this insertion cannot be disregarded, with the both analyzes being important.

Framework para diagnóstico e gestão de ambientes de Energy Cloud
The energy sector is going through a transition process regarding the generation, distribution, storage and use of energy. This transition of energy systems has occurred through the evolution of these systems that were previously characterized as being totally centralized, passing through a decentralized modality, and with the technological evolutionary directions pointing to a completely flexible and dynamic modality. This flexible and dynamic modality becomes known in the literature through terms such as Energy Cloud, Energy 4.0, and Smart Energy. The insertion of this modality is driven by three vectors: the distributed generation of energy from renewable sources, electric vehicles, and energy storage systems. Considering this evolution of energy systems, it is relevant to carry out research related to management on the development and implementation of business environments based on the Energy Cloud concept. Therefore, this research had as general objective to propose a framework for integrated management and assessment of technical, economic, financial, environmental and organizational aspects aiming at the development and implementation of Energy Cloud environments. To achieve this objective, the research was developed through five scientific articles designed to study specific points that contribute to achieving the general objective. Considering the three vectors that drive the evolution of Energy Cloud, first aspects that characterize the ecosystem were studied, such as the players, elements, activities and basic requirements of Energy Cloud as a business modality. In a second moment, the performance objectives to be pursued by companies included in the Energy Cloud were researched, as well as what are the critical success factors that can be considered as limiting the business. Afterwards, the scientific subsidies obtained were structured in a framework for diagnosis and management of Energy Cloud Communities environments, exemplifying the use of this framework to understand the specificities necessary for organizations that operate in this type of business. Methodologically, the research was developed based on bibliographic and documental research, survey with specialists in related areas, multicriteria decision support methods, and algorithms for knowledge construction. This research seeks to contribute through the definition of the ecosystem of Energy Cloud business environments and the elaboration of a management framework where the variables are structured to assist in the management and decisionmaking for organizations operating in the different areas that make up the Energy Cloud. This framework provides a multilevel view of variables, aggregating different multicriteria analysis methods and enabling a comprehensive view of the objectives, constraints, challenges and opportunities in the Energy Cloud Communities environment.

Plataforma agregadora para recursos energéticos distribuídos
For many years our energy distribution system structure has been virtually the same, particularly for the consumer. With the arrival of advanced metering equipment, renewable energy implementations and other distributed energy resources, a sudden change begins to happen, requiring that both consumer and the provider sides to adapt. Those changes have an impact in many areas, be them be related to how the consumers are charged, new equipment to replace old ones, legislation, collection and data analysis, among other changes. The distributed energy resources alongside consumers that can now be called prosumers now bring a new paradigm for the energy distribution system and require better accuracy in relation to the data that is being generated and stored. These new energy resources are diverse, such as photovoltaic panels, battery storage systems, electric vehicles and may imply on a bidirectional flow of energy. All of those changes cause different kinds of impact over the electric grid and consequentially over the kind of data that is being generated. This master thesis looks to address the difficulties and necessities that exist on connecting different kind of distributed energy resources to a smart grid. This work proposes a solution that allows the integration of many load, generation and storage resources located on the consumer side to the operation side of the smart grid, resulting in a software and hardware implementation. Finally, at the end an aggregator platform for distributed energy resources is developed to integrate distinct equipment in a single place, so that they can communicate transparently with each other, allowing for many others kind of applications on the smart grid, such as demand response algorithms and smart contracts.

Eletroconvulsoterapia e o impacto na taxa de internações psiquiátricas
Electroconvulsive therapy is the most consolidated, studied, and safe semi-invasive neuromod- ulation procedure in psychiatry. The safety of the procedure with technological advances pro- vides comfort for the patient with minimal side effects. It is indicated for depression, mania, schizophrenia, catatonia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, status epilepticus and Parkinson's disease. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of electroconvulsive therapy on the psychiatric admission rate at the University Hospital of Santa Maria, in addition to epi- demiologically characterizing this sample and determining the safety of the procedure. For this, a mirror-image study was carried out with psychiatric patients who underwent electroconvul- sive therapy from January 2018 to December 2018 (16 patients) comparing the psychiatric hos- pitalizations of these patients 2 years before and 2 years after the procedure. An epidemiological characterization of patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy from January 2018 to De- cember 2020 was also carried out, accounting for a total of 48 patients. There was a predomi- nance of men (62.5%), diagnoses of schizophrenia (33%) and bipolar disorder (33%). There was a balanced distribution between the positions of the electrodes between bitemporal (52%) and bifrontal (48%). Regarding the wavelength, the highest frequency was 1.0 (60%) compared to 0.5 (40%). It was also noted that patients with the bifrontal position of the electrodes had a higher frequency of wavelength of 0.5, while patients with a bitemporal position had a higher frequency of wavelength 1.0 (p<0.001). A significant difference was found between the groups, with the highest load values presented by the group with bitemporal electrode placement (pvalue 0.020) and with wavelength 1.0 (p-value 0.025). There was a reduction of 68.64% in the mean number of psychiatric hospitalizations at University Hospital of Santa Maria in the profile of patients analyzed after undergoing electroconvulsive therapy (p-value 0.021). The present study observed a significant reduction in the mean number of psychiatric hospitalizations after patients had been submitted to a cycle of electroconvulsive therapy or had continued to perform it during the period of data analysis. Thus, the study reflected what is already observed in other services and confirmed the quality work that has been performed at the University Hospital of Santa Maria.
