Data analysis on articles retrieved from Web of Science (WOS)
In Data mining and Text mining context, the goal is to analyze data retrieved from Web of Science (WoS). This paper intends to identify patterns in Text mining researches on selection of tools to be used on datamining application. References in BibTeX format were retrieved from articles existing in WoS platform. An application imported data from BibTeX to a MySQL database. The found characteristics led to choose the R programming language and the Apriori algorithm on a subset of data. Data about tools, methods, keywords, indexing terms, journals, countries, and authors were identified in records. Apriori resulted on thirteen association rules. The exploration of data from WoS articles revealed characteristics of Data mining researches. Future works can adapt the application used on this study and use other datamining methods on the dataset.

The new normative structure of science, technology and innovation in Brazil
The National Legal Order has undergone significant changes, trying to follow the social and economic transformations resulting from the processes of technological innovation. In different dimensions, these new modifications try to create legal instruments for the implementation of an innovation system, as well as for the protection of rights. Faced with the important updates of the current normative structure of Science, Technology and Innovation in Brazil, this study aims to perform a critical analysis about the matrix, the conceptions and objectives that involved the mentioned structure and its characteristics. This essay intends to contribute to the understanding of the current context, analyzing the theoretical bases that supported its implementation. In Brazil, the interface between the public sector and the private sector encounters obstacles, many of which are represented in the national legal system, which prevents the articulation between the two sectors, identifying it as a kind of risk to public resources. It is possible to affirm that the Constitutional Amendment n. 85/2015 and Law no. 13,243 / 2016 stipulated a model of a national innovation system characterized as a triple-helix model but structured from the State.

Race, interbreeding and socio-racial designations in the novel O mulato by Aluísio Azevedo (1850-1881)
The article proposes a historical reading of the novel O mulato (1881) by Aluísio Azevedo. The methodology adopted is contextualism: we analyze the first edition of the novel in the midst of the context of discussions between the newspapers O Pensador and Civilização from Maranhão, respectively, press organs of the intellectual circle of Aluísio and the local clergy. We sought to demonstrate that Aluísio used allegories and memorial-historiographical representations to construct the socio-racial semantics of the novel and dialogued with the intellectuals of his time, positioning himself against the theses of racial degeneration of the mestizos and favorably towards the ideology of racial whiteness.

Visions of the fall: edenic motifs in Joaquim Nabuco’s My formative years
In his autobiography, My Formative Years, Joaquim Nabuco employs a series of metaphors as vectors of meaning construction for his autobiographed life, as well as for the reality in which it unfolds. In this study, I analyze the set of occurrences of Edenic metaphors in the book. According to Hans Blumenberg and Luiz Costa Lima’s understanding, a metaphor is not, as it is usually understood, an ornamental feature of language, but, instead, an axis which complements the insufficiencies of the conceptual in human communication. I proceed, then, to the analysis of the extracts of the text where the Edenic metaphors occur in Nabuco’s autobiography, in an attempt to understand how their forms and mechanisms vary within the same literary work, also underscoring its propaedeutic character in the production of sociological interpretations on the history of Brazil.

The present article aims at discussing the importance of the technological innovations as propellers of the economic development of the nations as well as the role of the public politics directed toward the socioeconomics and institutional agents who are a part of the productive and innovative chain of the country. It is important to emphasize that the article does not intend to underestimate the economic practices of the sugar-ethanol companies, but to analyze certain aspects concerning the environment and the social factor, so that consistent politics is implemented in order to promote sustainability, balanced with enterprise and governmental responsibilities and commitments allied to the tripod: economy, environment and society. Brazilian scenes, violence, subjectivities
In this theoretical essay, it is possible to problematize the repercussions of social ideals that portray the Brazilian people as peaceful and averse to movements marked by violent actions. Specifically, it is significant to problematize the repercussions of such ideals on the national social organization and subjective constitution of the Brazilian citizen. The question posed concerns personal and social implications regarding the fact that a person inserted in the national cultural tradition starts to represent and feel like joyful and peaceful, even in the face of social inequality and violence. It is possible to understand that such psychic inscription may occur in function of the social ideal disseminated for centuries by the elites that dominate the economic and cultural scene.

The “Brazilian Alaska”: Debates on the Autonomy of Acre in the Press and the National Congress in 1909
The aim of this article is to analyze the debates about the legal situation of the Federal Territory of Acre and the local demands for economic autonomy in the beginning of the twentieth century. To this end, the controversy involving the press in Rio de Janeiro and the federal deputy Justiniano José de Serpa (1852-1923) will be analyzed. On November 22, 1909, Serpa gave a speech in the Federal Assembly drawing a broad comparison between the Federal Territory of Acre and the then so-called District of Alaska in order to repudiate the possibility of the Acre state joining the federation. The article suggests that the image of Acre as the “Brazilian Alaska” acquired different meanings and became, moreover, an instrument of pressure from the autonomists of Acre to have more political rights and resources from the federal government on par with the measures adopted by the United States in their lands in the Arctic.

Soccer in colônia Santa Felicidade: memories of an italian immigrant identity
Founded at the end of nineteenth century, an old colony of Italian immigrants became one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Curitiba-PR. Very famous for its typical food restaurants and wineries, Santa Felicidade is home to two traditional soccer clubs, Sociedade Operária Beneficente Esportiva Iguaçu and Trieste Futebol Clube. This article aims to understand how soccer participated and participates in the (re)construction of the "Italian" identity within the Colony/District Santa Felicidade neighborhood. By theoretical and methodological procedures of the Oral History it was possible to perceive that the analyzed fragments are dealing with social phenomena under construction. Ethnic manifestations such as gastronomy and unique architecture, as well as soccer, show how Italians have built over the years a stereotyped identity within Santa Felicidade

Donald Trump: the American response to the destabilizing effects of the globalization of capital
The process of integrating the world economy led by the United States has had dubious effects on the country. While US corporations expanded their presence and dominance over the world economy, there was a deterioration of the US labor market and middle-class living conditions, which generated resentment of Wall Street after the crisis of 2008 and also questions about the benefits of insertion into the world economy for the US. The purpose of this paper is to examine how this context favored Trump's rise and his proposals to review some of the characteristics of liberalism that guided US foreign policy since the end of World War II.

Rural organisations and socioeconomic development in the forest zone of south Cameroon, 1992-2015
The purpose of this article is to evaluate the contribution of rural organisations to the socio economic development in the forest zone of the south from 1992; the year a Presidential decree authorised the creation of common initiative groups to 2015. This aim is realised with respect to the following research questions: What factors led to the emergence of common initiative organisations in the Centre and Southern Regions of Cameroon? What were their activities and the impact of the groups in the areas under study? The answers to these questions benefited from the following sources: archival, oral and a selective bibliography. Our analysis reveals that the disengagement of the government from the agricultural sector in the 90s and the regulations enforced by stakeholders favoured the creation of so many common initiative groups in the forest zone of Cameroon. The article concludes that the common initiative organisations largely contributed to rural development in Cameroon. This was through the transformation of agricultural products, its commercialisation and the saving of money by the members of the farmer groups that also permitted them to improve on their living standards.
