The world’s tendency is to seek a balance between trade facilitation and the security of the international trading system so that customs administrations fulfill their control and enforcement role in the best possible way without undermining the flow of legitimate operations, stimulating and enabling development and prosperity of the international community as a whole. This dissertation demands a brief history of the development of the theoretical current of world governance, as well as Brazilian economic history in relation to foreign and international trade. Since that, the objective here is to explain the relation that global governance presents to the international trade of goods within the framework of international customs regimes, and for that, it must be understood that the course of history diffuses with a soft power and a tendency the standardization of international regime processes and customs policies. This study is limited to analyzing the complexity and efficiency of the Brazilian customs process, from 1995 to 2018, a period which important contributions to the world economy, such as the global governance of the WTO; the evolution of the Brazilian and world trade balance after the Uruguay Round; the WCO as a governance institution; the implementation of the customs system in Brazil in 1995; and a process review in 2015, which will be discussed next in order to understand how 20 years of Brazilian customs complexity prevent the country from leveraging and reducing its foreign trade customs. Therefore, states seek to guarantee their individual interests, which can only be limited by the interactions that occur in the system. The behavior of the state is as much a function of the distribution of power between them as the position that each of them occupies in the system. If there is a change in the distribution of power, there will be a change in the behavior of these states. And, above all, the way these states have adapted to institutionalizations such as the WTO and the World Trade Organization (WCO), where they will guarantee security and customs policies for the states and for Brazil.

The contemporary world presents challenges in many kind of activities. The population increasing in the metropolis indicates the necessity for a redirection in the decision making and presentation of solutions to the fulfillment of these demands. In Brazil, one sector to be rethought is food supply, whose wholesalers are obsolete in their design or urban setting and in their daily practices, today far from modern concepts of logistics, accessibility, sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility. With the purpose of discussing the food supply issue and proposing guidelines for the conceptual reformulation of these urban equipments, we researched the history of supply, neighborhood markets that had push to create urban centralities, several Central Wholesale and studied the case of the Companhia de Entrepostos e Armazéns Gerais de São Paulo - CEAGESP. We analyze its qualities and deficiencies and establish comparisons with other European Centers in order to explain and describe the differences pointed. In this work we present directives and parameters for the format of a Central adapted till the present, we discussed the urban plans to be implemented in Vila Leopoldina, in case the CEAGESP leaves there and we analyze the existing proposals of their relocation to another place, based on technical and urban guidelines and in order to minimize the impact to be caused by the Central Food in the region where it will be implemented.

Subject: This work aims to present strategies for solving the problem faced by Aluminis on how to obtain, in a traditional company, the necessary attention to strategic issues related to the operationalization, participative management and culture of Corporate Risk Management for generation of shareholder value. Application: The analysis of the Company’s Corporate Risk management maturity, supported by interviews with the main managers of the Corporate Risk Management area and the special ized literature on this topic, revealed the need to review the main concerns regarding this issue, making it possible to start the intervention, with actions that reformulated the arrangement of points of attention in the process, in search of the desired evolution. Innovation: The diagnosis resulted in the direction of solutions for process innovations, considering mainly the sector in which the company operates, since it aggregates the development of the Corporate Risk Management methodology and its acculturation, including the risks related to the company strategy. Impact: This work is expected to help improve the company’s corporate risk management, by increasing its level of maturity, helping to mitigate the risks to which it is exposed, significantly increasing the participation of all employees and leadership in its daily management, as well as the synergy between the company’s strategic planning, the generation of shareholder value and a more mature Corporate Risk Management. Complexity: The main challenge faced in this work considers the engagement of all company employees, since it involves not only changes in processes and methodologies, but mainly in the company’s culture. The tone of leadership is of great importance for the success of the work, but without the active participation of all employees, corporate risk management becomes inefficient. Method and procedures: The methodology for solving problems and taking advantage of opportunities proposed by Marcondes, Miguel, Franklin and Perez (2017) was adopted. It started with the understanding of the problem, followed by its diagnosis, which led to the proposed solutions.

This present paper proposes a study in the scope of research in a project related to the architectures that generate open spaces of collective use and critical and referenced readings of architectural contemporary works, with emphasis on three cases: Praça das Artes (2012) in São Paulo – Brazil, The Museum of Memory and Human Rights (2010) in Santiago – Chile and the Sony Center (2000) in Berlin – Germany, which will be analyzed by graphic and textual methods. The dissertation tries to identify the major project characteristics and strategies of the “architectures that generate open and collective spaces” about the configuration and relation with the open space and articulation with the city, aiming at contributing to a more focused reflection and look over the role of architecture in the shaping of public spaces and of design strategies that point towards the dialogue with the city.

The Contestado War, 1912-1916, was a guerrilla war for lands between settlers and landowners. It was a phenomenon sparked by social causes, and feasible by religious reasons. At the beginning of 20th century, at the West of Santa Catarina state, monarchic ideas were predominant. Within the context of a recent Brazilian Republic proclaimed, politics started dividing an occupied land by subsistence farm workers. In addition, a railroad connecting São Paulo to Santa Maria, in Rio Grande do Sul state was been built by a north-American Brazil Railway Company. According to an agreement, the company obtained from the government the right to explore a strip of land 15 km wide on each side of the railroad. The concession guaranteed also the opening of a company to extract rich wood throughout Santa Catarina West. This means that subsistence farm workers were suddenly driven out from their lands. The name Contestado refers to an inland region contested by the States of Paraná and Santa Catarina, prompting the spirits to war. Previous to this social caos, the Contestado received influence from three monks in the region. The first, João Maria de Agostini. He was a devout to Saint Anthony, who wandered as a healer and miracle performer. The second appeared right after João Maria, who also adopted the alias of João Maria, although his real name was Atanás Marcaf. He walked in the same path as his predecessor, but having his own nuances. Marcaf was seen as someone supporting the Federalist Revolution. The third monk, José Maria, self-proclaimed João Maria´s brother, attract to himself people's admiration and confidence. The first two ones preferred a nomad and lonely life, whereas the third had many followers and became even a military leader. José Maria was killed in combat, and his followers settle themselves politically and religiously. Soon their leadership became intimidation. As a result of visions the virgenato and the meninos-deus are established. They were groups who were receiving direction straight from José Maria. We can realize religious elements from Africa and from native Indians in this kind of messianic movement amidst the Contestado. Of course, all of these were blended within a popular Catholic Church environment. Generally speaking, this last group gave rise to an embrionary model of local animism and possession of spirits. Specifically, their contribution in the religious scenario was with rites, beliefs and ceremonies. A constant resistance from the subsistence farm workers brought over them a military intervention. Federal troops, supported by local cowboys, were sent to the region to crush the rebellion. Close to the end of the war the religious feeling started being supplanted by a kind of barbarian behavior. As a result the South of Brazil experiences a religious legacy of reverence to João Maria in the popular Catholicism of three South states. This legacy goes beyond, reaching the Kaingangs, a native American ethnic group, and even contemporary minority movements as MST.

In this dissertation we present a creative critical research developed by the author and named Habitado, which aims to test the reach of photography in contemporary times. When we live in a world of 7 billion inhabitants and 5 billion smartphones, a world where we are all photographers, we perceive photography ubiquitously and the extent of the photographer's role in this context. For this, we appropriated the Inhabited project, as a research field and experimental laboratory. Discussing concepts such as: work networks; representation of reality; incorporation of daily life in art; experience as a form of knowledge creation, affective memory, imagetic literacy and the methodology of academic research in the arts. Importantly, the format of this research is also content. Many pages with images without text show us visual narrative forms that can be included not only in our everyday Instagram, but also in academic research. In order to experience this scope procedurally, this dissertation is divided into three themes that relate respectively: ART, the photographic making; CULTURE, communication with image and EDUCATION, use of photography in teaching methodologies. Finally, we realize a need to synthesize the structure of reasoning created by the vast extension of the imaginary world, which we call “photographic logic” and with it we experience the possibility of expansion to the production of knowledge in other languages of intersemiotic translations. That is, we use a set of signs acquired by the continuous production and consumption of photographs in our daily lives, to allow us to expand and transpose ideas, concepts, thoughts to any other form of communication and representation. Photography as the contemporary Bic pen. With the complexity of the contemporary world. That not only allows us to produce content, but also changes our structure and, most of all, the way we relate to other beings and the world.

The designing process in architecture was investigated in this research through the study of architect Joaquim Guedes’s design procedures and strategies, applied on some of his projects. Initially, a general overview on the state of the art regarding the authors and researches that have studied the nature of the architecture design activity was presented, with the intention of placing within this universe the design process developed by Guedes specifically. To analyze the proposed theme, four Case Studies were carried out. By these Studies, we sought to describe the architecture defining procedures in the projects developed for the Salvador Library (1968), for the Brasilia`s IPHAN Headquarters (2006), for Londrina Theater (2007) and the proposal for the Application School (2009), elaborating a study on the design strategies adopted. Through the distinct Case Studies examination, it was verified how the Linear Diagrams graphical representations, in configuring spaces Systems and Subsystems, revealed certain determined continuities, peculiarities and decisions on the configuration and process of design. O presente estudo tem como objetivo realizar uma proposta de padronização de processos de gestão para implementação e manutenção da certificação do CEBAS, com aplicação de controles internos que podem ser incorporados em organizações do TS, tendo em vista a manutenção da imunidade tributária. Esta pesquisa classifica-se como descritiva, com a forma de abordagem qualitativa, utilizando técnicas de levantamento de dados a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental da regulação do CEBAS. As bases de dados são pelo critério de acessibilidade sendo: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Google Scholar® (Google Inc.) e SCOPUS (Elsevier). Para análise dos documentos, utiliza a técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2011). Como contribuição para o segmento do Terceiro Setor está nas orientações básicas levantadas, para que uma entidade que se interesse em obter ou renovar o CEBAS, de forma ágil, possa estruturar o seu processo com todos os elementos necessários. O critério de escolha para este estudo da certificação do CEBAS Educação, está na proporção de transferência de subvenções para este segmento. O resultados apontam a relevância ao instrumento controle de orçamento, uma vez que demonstra desde o planejamento de matrícula, passando pela precificação, instrumentos de controle de contas a receber, contas a pagar, fluxo de caixa, precificação, assistência social, evidenciando todo o processo de receitas e despesas e seus lançamentos, proporcionando ao Controller, ferramentas de controle para os ajustes devidos entre o previsto e o realizado, culminando na confecção de relatórios gerenciais e financeiros confiáveis e auditados, por auditoria externa, dando relevância aos documentos e demonstrativos contábeis que, por sua vez, são incorporados à documentação necessária ao processo de certificação do CEBAS, gerando assim a segurança jurídica da Instituição.

Type of illegal urban intervention native of Sao Paulo, pixação is perpetrated by young people in outlying areas, which – in search of notoriety – they risk this modality to climb buildings to stamp their mark in places of high visibility. In its historical development, the practice has undergone a partial acceptance process in the arts district, resulting in social and aesthetic legitimacy of some of his characters. One is Djan Ivson Silva, selected as a subject focus of this research. With unusual personality, he holds a significant collection of documents and a great knowledge about the history of pixação. Djan was leading the groups in which he served and primarily responsible for bringing his practice to a field traditionally occupied by the intellectual elites. Defined by the media as an “artist / pixador” personal situation Djan expressed Ivson the ambiguity of the current character of this cultural manifestation that lies between the social and artistic phenomenon. This thesis – divided into three chapters, each subdivided between the description of the character’s personal history and the interpretation of the transformations of pixação – articulates the communicating vessels between the individual and collective levels, and gives a glimpse step by step how a young offender engages the periphery to the discussion of contemporary art without losing ties with their social base.

El presente estudio constituye problematizar la distribución de los paréntesis en textos de Clarice Lispector, escritos para periódicos femeninos en la década de 50 y recompilados en forma de libro por la investigadora Aparecida Maria Nunes, bajo los títulos de Correio feminino (2006) e Só para mulheres: conselhos, receitas e segredos (2008). De la recogida de los segmentos parentéticos en esos textos, se obtuvieron 262 ocurrencias parentéticas distribuidas en los géneros discursivos consejos, recetas, secretos y clases. Conducido, pues, por una visión pragmática-discursiva, el estudio trató de describir acertadamente el tipo y el papel de la inserción parentética en la realidad múltiple y compleja de los textos, que contempla fenómenos discursivos de diversas naturalezas y de gran relevancia, especialmente focalización y topicidad discursiva, con el fin de investigar, por un lado, la naturaleza y la funcionalidad de los paréntesis en los géneros y en los tipos discursivos que componen el corpus, y, por otro lado, la relación de las porciones parentéticas con el texto en su totalidad. En la orientación del Funcionalismo Lingüístico, con aportes de las lecciones de la Lingüística del texto, ambas orientaciones extremadamente relacionadas a consideraciones discursivas de soporte semántico y pragmático, este trabajo pone bajo examen un tipo de "inserción" discursivo-textual que es el "paréntesis". La hipótesis que dirige el trabajo es la de que diferentes géneros propician diferentes matrices de construcción textual, favoreciendo la creación de relieves discursivos a su servicio. En este marco de orientación teórico-metodológica general, lo que se presenta como resultado responde al objetivo de describir las categorías funcionales del paréntesis (su papel semántico-discursivo en la organización textual) dentro de los diferentes géneros representados en el corpus de examen. Gobierna esa presuposición el hecho de que el paréntesis no es una porción textual desvinculada del segmento que lo aloja y lo contextualiza, debiendo su observación operarse por relación con el contexto tópico que lo alberga.

This work has as main objective to analyze the history of the Assembly of God Gospel Church in Brazil, mainly in their first fifty years, when it gained an expressive growth. Being the Assembly of God and the Christian Congregation in Brazil the most ancient and the biggest Pentecostal churches of Brazil, from them the Brazilian Pentecostal matrix were formed, being the Assembly of God the main responsible. However, the Assembly of God is not a unique nor an homogeneous church, it is multiple in different aspects like the Assembly movement from 1911 to 1946 and the Assembly institution from 1946 to 1989. The Assembly of God Madureira Ministry, at São Mateus, São Paulo, is a church that arises between 1947 and 1948, tied with the Assembly of God Gospel Church Madureira s Ministry, Brás field, São Paulo, obtaining its emancipation in 1964, becoming a church directly linked to Madureira s National Convention. Regarding to the specific objectives, this work sets out to analyze the relation between the church leader s charisma with the church growth and to set out the survival of popular magic or institutionalized miracles in the everyday life of the church. Through this analysis it was possible to conclude that the present research contributed to demonstrate that the institutionalized religion has its place and prestige but it is a place, among others, necessary to demarcate the celebration and the rite.

This study identified a contribution of innovation strategies to the market development in startups. The Strategies of Market Development and Innovation were approached in the theoretical framework, in the context of strategy, in the search for market creation and in the types of innovation processes. What is more specific to the research, startups, tasks existing seek analysis as the innovation occur and identify the tools that companies use for an innovation, as well as verifying the creation of a market through its innovation. The research method was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory, and a data collection was performed through a structured script. Ten founders of startups were interviewed, whose audience approached how to use the platform model and to have one less product on the market. Data analysis was a technique of data analysis, with the participation of meanings and categorization for data triangulation and inferences, through which the startups collect information in the market and feedback from their clients to validate their ideas in search of innovation, which occur through agile and often non-explicit processes. Among the strategies for innovation, Lean Startup was highlighted. Finally, the general objective was reached, and it was possible to observe how the rules of innovation contributed to the development of markets in startups.

This work consists on the creation of the Bit Interleaved Coding And Modulation (BICM) stage of the Advanced Television Systems Committee 3.0 (ATSC 3.0) digital TV system in Software Defined Radio (SDR), using the GNU Radio Companion (GRC) tool. The study of the BICM stage allows performing simulations to verify the ATSC 3.0 error correction performance, something not yet implemented in GRC and has a huge potential for future work featuring the ATSC 3.0 system. To reach this objective, first the stages of the physical layer of the ATSC 3.0 system are introduced. After, the SDR technology and GRC tool are introduced. Then, the BICM stage is implemented on the GRC tool using the C++ programming language
