Youth and agents of history
This paper discusses the conception of Brazilian, Argentinian and Uruguayan youth regarding agents of history, based on their study of History in school and outside. Data were obtained using the international research "Brazilian and Argentinian Youth and History", based on students of 15-years of age and their teachers, using predominantly the Likert scale. Theory-wise, the research follows the concepts of historical conscience and historical culture, as formulated by German History Didactics, as well as the concept of political culture. In summary, results have shown that, within the universe researched, the so-called "important people" typical of History education in schools are recognized as "founding fathers" of the nations, but not as agents that represented alternatives in the development of national history, and the same happens with females. Science, technology and inventions are seen as more important factors of change than "important people", and these, in turn, are surpassed by the importance given to collective movements.

The dimensions of the subordinate government of the island of Santa Catarina (1738-1821)
The purpose of this article is to understand the formation of the colonial unit of the island of Santa Catarina (later expanded to the mainland) in 1738, when a government subordinated to the captaincy of Rio de Janeiro was established. This subordinate government lasted until 1821, when it became an independent province. There was also an attempt to identify the legal status and size of this establishment in the eyes of different colonial agents, based on the analysis of the political vocabulary used by the authorities in documentation from the time.

On the theoretical convergences in the configuration of the Unidad Popular
The central issue raised by this work is the political nature of the Unidad Popular, which led in 1970 Allende to the Government of Chile. Political nature is understood as the set of ideological elements that allow the development of a proposal for transformation of the political regime and the power relationships that underlie. Interest to the political elements allowing that various parties of diverse tradition came to establish a common framework which sought to carry out a programme which stated start the road to socialism following a path institutional politician outside the rupture violent revolutionary approach. The paper establishes that the organizations that joined UP possessed, in spite of their differences, a set of common elements that converged in a historical, political and ideological framework. This convergence was connected with greater ideological weight of the Communist Party and its ability to bind to smaller organizations.
Blood and Faith: Franciscan written works and identity in Iberian colonial spaces (Lima and Portuguese India, 17th century)

The analysis demonstrates the similarity of their arguments and appropriations of the Iberian Peninsula blood purity concept in America and Portuguese India.

“Literary transculturation” and “praise to crossbreeeding” in The learned city: the interstices in the writings of José María Arguedas and Ángel Rama
The concept of transculturation, laid out in the debates of the 40’s, was transferred to the literary critique by Ángel Rama, who put forward that the transcultural conception of the transformations visibly translated a “Latinamerican perspectivism”, even in what the act interpretation could have of incorrect or misinterpretation. His study centred itself fundamentally in the intersticial writing of José María Arguedas. This paper – besides incorporating the idea of impure and split writing – rescues the topicality of Rama’s study, in moments in which we talk about multi and interculturality, hybridism or dis-centred discourse.
Continuities and ruptures: analysis of American Independence 200 years later

Configuration of putschist alliances in Brazilian and Argentinian dictatorships: an approach base on the civic-military overlay
In this paper we propose to discuss the configuration of alliances between the civil and military sectors that sparked coups and established dictatorial regimes in Brazil and Argentina. We aim to characterize their initial establishment as well as the dynamics within those administrations, determining particular nuances, since they focused both on implemented policies and on the sectors that could go against them.
