Atlas de copépodos planctônicos, Calanoida e Cyclopoida (Crustacea), da Amazônia Brasileira: I. Represa de Curuá-Una, Pará
This paper was elaborated with intention of complementing original descriptions, updating the distribution ofthe species and providing the taxonomic basis necessary for a secure identification of the animals. We present detailed ilustrations of 6 species of Calanoid copepods and 3 species of Cyclopoids copepods found, but not necessarilly restricted to the Curuá - Una Reservoir located in the municipality of Santarém, state of Pará, Brazil.

Larval development of Hexapanopeus paulensis Rathbun, 1930 (Crustacea, Brachyura, Xanthidae) under laboratory conditions
Four zoeal stages and one megalopa stage of Hexapanopeus paulensis Rathbun, 1930 were obtained from eggs of ovigerous females from the northern coast of São Paulo State, Brazil. The experiments were performed in a climatically controlled room at 24 ±1 ºC at a salinity of 34.5%, and the animals were fed with newly hatched Artemia salina nauplii. All larval stages are illustrated and described in detail. The complete larval development consists of 4 zoeal stages and 1 megalopal stage. The main morphological characters that allow the identification of the zoeae and megalopa of H. paulensis are analyzed with respect to the other species of Xanthidae's family from southern and southeastern Brazilian coast.

Nudacotyle carollia sp. nov. (Trematoda, Nudacotylidae) parasito intestinal de Carollia perspicillata L. (Chiroptera) en Colombia
Nudacotyle carollia sp. nov. (Trematoda, Nudacotylidae) is described on the basis of specimens from the intestinal tracts of three Colombian bats of the species Carollia perspicillata L. The new species resembles both of the genera of the family, Nudacotyle and Neocotyle, in the general position of the organs and in having a vertical cleft. It differs from Nudacotyle in the position of the ovary and cirrus sac and in the lenth of the ceca. The new species differs from Neocotyle in the shape of the body and the vitelline lobes and in the length of the ceca. The ventral cleft is considered to be an important generic character which can be used to unit all the species of both genera in the single genus, Nudacotyle.

Influência da dieta no desenvolvimento oogênico de Fannia pusio (Wiedemann, 1830) (Diptera, Fanniidae)
Females of Fannia pusio were submitted to three different diets (sugar, fish and sugar + liver), which influence in the oogenetic development was observed. The oogenesis was completed in the 15th. day, both under sugar or sugar + liver diets. This species proved to be autogenous for the first ovarian cycle.

Influência do tamanho da amostra na estimativa da riqueza em espécies em levantamentos de abelhas silvestres (Hymenoptera, Apoidea)
The effect of area size, number of collecting hours and months surveyed, on the estimation of relative richness of bees is analized. In order to characterize a biogeographical region, it is suggested to collect various samples of no less than 400 especimens for each one, in contrasting localities within a region, utilizing the usual standardized methodology for wild bees collecting. Thus, it is possible to have a better profit of the effort invested in the survey, making it possible to estimate the relative species richness among different biogeographical regions, in shorter periods of time.

Histologia geral dos intestinos do Caiman crocodilus yacare (Daudin, 1802) (Crocodilia: Reptilia)
General histology of small intestine (duodenum and jejunum) and the large intestine (colon and cloaca) of C. c. yacare (Daudin, 1802) Crocodilia-Reptilia. A comparative description is made of the histology of the small and large intestine of C. c. yacare. In all segments mucosa, submucosa, muscularis and serosa tunics were observed. The duodenum as very long villi, wich are well-developed and attached together to form irregular transverse ridges, covered with simple columnar epithelium with marginal and goblet cells. In the jejunum, the villi are shorter and less frequent. The colon as few folds, covered with the same epithelium; the lamina própria contains straight tubular glands with absortive cells, goblet and Paneth cells. The cloaca is very complex, with three well-defined regions: coprodeum, urodeum and proctodeum. In the coprodeum, the wall is folded, less muscular and the thin mucosa is covered by an epithelium with a few basal cells and mucosal cells. The urodeum as an additional external muscular tunic, with striated muscle fibers and a stritifield cylindrical epithelium with goblet cells. The proctodeum includes the free part of the penis in the male and, laterally, the ducts of a pair of holocrine cloacal glands. Near the opening of the ducts, the epithelium changes to a squamous keratinized type.

New data on the biology and morphology of Tunga penetrans (L., 1758) Jarocki, 1838 (Siphonaptera-Tungidae) are presented. In this paper is given a comparision between those points found at the literature with the new ones which have been pointed out, such as different aspects of the larval structural, a particular description of the egg-breaker, and morphobgical details of adults obtained by using scanning electron microscope. New data about evolution period are given.

Cinco espécies de Lecithodendriidae (Trematoda) en murcielagos de Colombia, incluyendo tres nuevos generos
Velez, I. & V.E. Thatcher: Five species of Lecithodendriidae (Trematoda) in bats from Colombia, including three new genera. Three new neotropical genera and species of Lecithodendriidae (Trematoda) are described from Colombian bats. Sturniratrema umbilicata gen. et sp. nov. from Sturnira lilium differs from other genera in having an oval ventral depression, a dorso-ventrally curved cirrus and a genital pore lateral to the acetabulum. Chiropterotrema antioquiense gen. et sp. nov. from Carollia perspicillata is distinguished by having the acetabulum within a triangular ventral pit as well as an separation between the the male and female genital pores. Topsiturvitrema verticalia gen. et sp. nov. from Carollia perspicillata has a different orientation of the body, being nearly spherical but somewhat flatened in an anterior-posterior direction. This genus also has a deep ventral cleft separating two ventral lobes which are filled with eggs. Castroia silvai Travassos, 1928, is also reported from Anoura caudifer and Peropteryx macrotis. The first of these represents a new host record for the species. Addiotionally, Limatulum gastroides Macy, 1935, is reported from Lonchophyla robusta wich is another new host record.

Aspectos ecológicos dos Brachyura (Crustacea: Decapoda) no manguezal do Itacorubi, SC - Brasil
Ecological studies including occurrence, relative abundance and spatial distribution of 15 species of Brachyura, as well as the fluctuation in the annual cycle are carried out in mangrove (27º 34' 14" and 27º 35' 31" L.S.; 48º 30' 07"and 48º 31' 33" L. W.), during the year 1986. The hydrological parameters temperature, salinity and pH of surface and intersticial waters were also studied. Chasmagnathus granulata was the most abundant specie, followed by Uça uruguayensis, Aratus pisonii and Callinectes danae. The number of males was higher than females. In the spring a larger rate of Catches occurred. The species Eurytium limosum, Cardisoma guanhumi that had the state of São Paulo as their austral boundaru and Uça maracoani the state of Paraná, have now their boundaries of distribution expanded is for as the City of Florianópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina.
