Deslocamentos poéticos pela cidade de São Paulo
This review aims to present how the contemporary Brazilian cinema represents the displacement as dominant element in terms of scenery and action, as a place of flows, fugacity, frailty, the place of sociabilities, discoveries and construction of the imaginary. The movie Não por acaso was analysed because of its intense narrative, which is developed while the protagonists move in and around the city of São Paulo. We also chose it in order to show how the cinema can revel a poetic of imaginary in the displacements through the city.

The Education of Landless Workers’ Movement: Transform Society from People’s Reality
In addition to the agrarian reform, the Landless Workers’ Movement has, among its objectives, the struggle for democratization of education and knowledge. Therefore, it works to provide literacy, education and political formation to youth and adults, and invests in training teachers who work in the movement. The Florestan Fernandes National School in Guararema (SP) is one of its achievements; it is a model of university that does not offer a diploma, but provides courses for organized groups of society, such as the militants of the movement, indigenous people, foreigners from Latin America and Africa. In this interview, Simone Pereira, one of the pedagogical coordinators of the movement, explains the operation of the school and the educational structure of the movement.

It’s hard to tell where education begins and where literacy ends. This varies from culture to culture; for some cultures literacy is a process that ends when the person is educated (continental European model), while in other cultures education is what leads a person to literacy (Anglo-Saxon model). Anyway, with regard to education for the media, the key is to keep the two terms under discussion, and this is a trend in the evolution of literacy in the 21st century. This paper discusses the increase in this form of literacy, which cannot do without a knowledge of information in its various dimensions, whether it is news, data or documents.
A Bridge Between the Field and the Classroom
The photographers, journalists, documentary filmmakers and researchers Vinicius Souza and Maria Eugenia Sá talk about their international careers in covering humanitarian issues and the importance of showing – in the media, in lectures, blogs and in classrooms - stories and images that are not normally debated in major media. In papers, exhibitions, books and documentaries, they address what they call “media realities and invisibilities”, always questioning the importance of publishing facts that bring relevant information to people’s lives and to their action in the contemporary world.

Escola, memória, criatividade e poesia - a educomunicação e as artes
In the new edition, the author uses poetry inspired by school and by education to demonstrate that the school is not only a space to develop science and rationality, but mainly to develop subjectivity, to improve the psychological potential of students, to awake citizenship and to emerge potentiality and vocation. Art, creativity, free expression and subjectivity are necessary or integral part of their activities and, twenty years ago, the Communication & Education Journal has been working to not only reaffirm these principles, but also to present outputs, resources and experiences that facilitate the accomplishment of the most important goals of education.

Learning in the digital age: inside and outside school
This work is part of a research line created in the Masters In Communication and Education of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. We review the points of convergence between Information and communication technology (ICT) and learning theories, generating discussion about the concept of interactivity, multimodality, from the comprehension of its importance in the design of a website. In addition, we try to give criteria that shed light on the applicability of theories treated in this paper, within a distance education system. Finally, we analyze an educational website, and we provide analysis criteria for optimization of multimedia material – an educational website.

Ivory Tower – An Overview of the Commodification of Higher Education in the United States
Ivory Tower is a film that shows a half century process of dismantling of the public subsidy lines to higher education students in the United States and the gradual increase in private funding that transforms new graduates in debtors even before they are workers. It makes clear the commodification style of higher education in the country as a historical process that simultaneously preaches the consumption of student devices; the relentless pursuit of social prestige and the gradual decomposition of the residential graduation model, so dear to the American educational tradition.
This paper presents reflections on the significant potential of games introduced in the school environment as an interdisciplinary practice. For analysis purposes, we use the principles of good game, good learning — listed by Gee1 — and delimit this qualitative study on the analysis of the language of a game for teenagers attending elementary school II: Minecraft. Among the results, we emphasize that games can provide different kinds of experiences, learning and levels of interaction and playfulness. The introduction of an educational language (formal and informal) that is dialogical, playful and hypermediatic allows the student to be an active agent of his learning, a producer and multiplier of new knowledge
