The narrator main feature is to create characters who talk with each other during the narrative and by doing it she brings the streaming of consciousness to the text. This happens while the narrator tries to organize the expectation of the readers.

“Romance sem romance”: the case of "Água Viva", by Clarice Lispector
In the 20th century, modern art denies the bond with the temporal and spatial world which was taken as real and absolute by traditional realism and by the common sense. Anatol Rosenfeld defends that modern novel is born when Proust, Joyce, and others, begin to ‘a desfazer a ordem cronológica, fundindo passado, presente e futuro’ (1973, p. 80). He also affirms that modern novel, like painting, is no longer mimetic, ‘recusando a função de reproduzir ou copiar a realidade empírica’ (ibidem, p. 76). According to him, realism, in the broadest sense of the term of designating a tendency of reproducing the apprehended reality by our senses, in a stylized way or not, idealized or not, is denied by modern novel. Therefore, the chronology and temporal continuity were shaken. Água Viva, on the contrary of a realistic novel, seems fragmented and/or not structured. A realistic novel presents a story based on chronologies, events, well defined characters, etc. Nevertheless, this scheme is not possible in Água Viva. The text of Lispector presents the characteristics of modern novel proposed by Rosenfeld (1973), which can be attributed to the intense relation with painting; however, Lispector goes beyond, and her text is characterized as “novel without novel” by Lucia Helena, using a terminology proposed by Barthes. From these considerations results the proposal of this work, which does not have as objective an attempt of the classification of the text of Lispector, but present a brief study related to some characteristics of modern novel proposed by Rosenfeld and the case of Água Viva, in a way to understand how the representation of reality is in the “Lispectorian” text.

The essay presents an analysis of the novel Lavoura Arcaica , by Raduan Nassar. From the point of view of the narrator-protagonist, the text demonstrates how his words of subversive nature – full of controversial meanings as incestuous relationship, familiar coercion, religious punishment – have their origin in the familiar tradition, represented by the father.

The elision in the pessoense dialect
This article focuses on the description of the process of elision of the vowel / a / in the Brazilian Portuguese personal variety. The analysis implemented is based on the theoretical-methodological model of Quantitative Sociolinguistics. In this text, the focus is on the structural issues that guide the application of the process. The results show that the linguistic restrictions - extension of the first word of the sequence, accent, word type, prosodic constituents and vowel quality - are the most relevant to the application of the elision, thus revealing itself as a process Without major social determinants.

The purpose of this literary work is to study introspection novels through analysis of inner perception and sentiments in relation to lived the subject. The goal of this study is also to establish affinities and differences between the traditional or epic characteristic way of narrating and the intimist way of narrating, exemplifying the interior process of character in some brazilian novels published in distintict periods (1880 until 1940). Therefore, it was selected for this analysis the novel O Ateneu (1888), from Raul Pompéia and Angústia (1936), from Graciliano Ramos. So, both narratives are placed in contrast while it draw similarities between them to concern the introspection of the protagonists that are inserted in these ficcional works.

The process of palatalization in native Florianopolitans speech in spontaneous and controlled speech corpus
In this work, we present a study on the process of palatalization of the coronal sibilant in coda based on data from a read corpus. The data were collected in the locality of Ribeirão da Ilha, Florianópolis. The method used to choose the informants was stratified random, involving a total of 24 people. Our corpus was assembled to cover diverse structural contexts, totaling 68 sentences. With a focus on Laovian sociolinguistics and Trait Geometry Phonology, we analyze the role of structural and social variables in the phenomenon. In addition, we compared the results about palatalization with an earlier study, done in the same locality with a spontaneous speech corpus (Brescancini, 1996), in order to verify to what extent the style question affects the phenomenon. Our results showed that the contexts in which there was retraction and elevation of the body of the tongue (dorsal consonants and labial and dorsal vowels) favored the use of the palate-alveolar variant. The results referring to social variables point to an indication of external influences in the sense of non-palatalization, considering that Florianópolis has been receiving many people from other cities and states. Comparison with the spontaneous speech study showed that the more formal style (read corpus) affects the application of the rule, especially among the more educated women.

Influence of inferential perception on epenthetic vowel formation in foreign languages
The purpose of this text is to show that the phenotype of epenthesis in words of foreign origin is a result of perception. In this sense, the Portuguese speaker will shape words that are not phonetically habitual in order to adapt them to his syllabic system. It is hypothesized that the speaker's perception of the syllabic structure in his / her language is a key element in the formation of interpretive inferences regarding the pronunciation of foreignisms, since in this process the speaker unites the acquired (phonological) information In contact with his mother tongue to those of the foreign language, creating an illusory vowel so that the syllabic mold he knows is filled. It is for this reason that status, for example, can be pronounced with the insertion of the epenthetic vowel as in [is'tatus].

Precursority: a proposal to think the literary canon
Jorge Luis Borges mentioned that he always considered writing a study of Kafka and his precursors, what he did when he wrote an essay entitled “Kafka and his precursors” published in Selected non-fictions. In order to accomplish this the Argentinean writer referred that he had to spend a little time with Kafka and because of that he could recognize “his voice, or his habits, in the texts of various literatures and various ages.” Spending a little time with Borges made me consider writing an essay about the issues he argues there. I named these issues as “voices” once like Borges I could recognize some of them in his text. I understand that these issues trace the structure in which I want to address the discussion about some questions from the field of Literary Studies, more specifically from the area of Literary History such as the debate about canon. My essay aims to propose the idea of “precursor” as a concept to (re)think the notion of literary canon.
