Caracterização comportamental das feições erosivas na Bacia do Córrego Campo Alegre com base nos estudos geológico-geotécnicos: perímetro urbano de Uberlândia - MG
The meaning of this work is to characterize the erosion feature at Campo Alegre stream, trough geological and geotechnical by categorizing essais the physical environment attributes and determining geotechnical parameters and also geoprocessing to be possible match this analysis and get to the factor of development and evolution of erosion.This research is justified by the similar situation at several streams in Uberlândia, both erosive processes as landscape configuration process. Were produced 4 soil profiles and in each 5 soil levels, except profile number 3 with 3 levels. From these 4 profiles, were taken several disturbed and undisturbed samples and made the following essays: Granulometria, Limites de Atterberg, Permeabilidade in situ, adensamento, cisalhamento, erodibilidade and adsorção de azul de metileno. Were prepared hypsometric maps and slope maps, produced based on the topographic map.Results showed that the soil is silty-sand and with low cohesion, therefore loses more easily the soil of lowest levels of the profiles. The highers levels are less erodible and get easily amount cause of organic materials, thus acquire a greater aggregation and yield and lack of bases being transported by the stream. The destination of rain water coming from the neighborhoods in the headwaters of streams, enhances the water volume in the channel by the increasing os mechanical action of water that has a large power on carring materiais used to backfill the erosion. In the medium course of the stream right arm channel has a meandering course to the right and due to the transportation of lowest levels and bases it has started a piping process and collapse on the surface by the lackinf of support, characterizing this area as the highest intensity of erosion.The blocks keep falling depositing more material to be transported as the next rainy season and again release the latest levels to be removed by pipping.

Proposta de manual técnico de medidas preventivas e corretivas para aterros sanitários encerrados
The correct solid waste management has been a challenge to most cities in Brazil that have to dispose of this waste in an environmentally correct way, trying to comply with legal demandings. The landfills are the most adequate way to dispose of urban solid waste, avoiding contamination of ground and underground water, soil and air, besides preventing disease vector proliferation. Even though there are many studies over landfill monitoring in operation, there is not in the same proportion in Brazil studies over the closure and postclosure of landfills and it is known that even after their deactivation, the waste degradation continues generating percolate liquids and cotaminating biogases, besides the movements of different nature over the landfill, which makes it necessary the follow up of this area until the waste is stabilized. The major current problems in finished sanitary landfills were listed, and from this point, the Technical Manual on Preventive and Corretive Measures for Landfill Closed . In this dissertation, five action programs concerning sanitary landfills were presented: Environmental Adequation Program, Environmental and Geothecnical Monitoring Program, Environmental Education Program, Safety Program, and Personal Training Program. With this the intention is to raise more discussions over this issue and moreover, to draw the attention to the dangers concerning the bad management of landfills after their closure.

The decision to search the routes in a particular construction company comes from the need to verify whether Vehicle Routing brought an effective optimization in the fleet, routes and delivery of cargo operations. Trip costs, distances and time were analyzed using TransCAD software, which gives a rich assemble of instruments for vehicle routing and solutions to several troubles. It was chosen the month of January, for being the greatest delivery demand, some parameters were stablished, such as vehicle type, fleet specifications, average demand by client and so one. This study is based on the analyzis of product distribution from three construction companies wich have two distribution centers for delivery, to consider significant improvements in vehicle routing to a specific company, considering that the integration and optimization of these services can reduce costs.

Estudo de localização de unidades de atendimento para os acidentes de trânsito
Traffic accidents (TA) have assumed high numbers, registering a large amount of dead, wounded (with temporary or permanent sequels) and material damage. Time is crucial in caring for victims of TA. There is a positive association between the delay of the rescue and the proportion of fatal and serious accidents. Several studies have demonstrated the relationship between the reduction in the time-response and the corresponding reduction of mortality. The time the succor leads to reach the victim is a most important variable in Prehospital Care (PHC). This time, known as time-response is a key performance indicator system. In this context, this paper analyzes the traffic accidents with victims occurred in the urban area of Uberlandia - MG, from January 1 to December 31, 2007, based on information generated by the reports of the 5th Battalion Military Fire. There are analyzed the month, the week, the day, the slots and areas more critical. With the TransCAD tools were done the characterization of the problem of transport, this work seeks optimal locations for the Care Units (CU) of Fire Department of Uberlandia, based on selected possible locations; to define routes for the preferential PHC from two scenarios. For each scenario were generated outputs in which there will be check the best settings of routes to the problem of rescuing the victims of traffic accidents. Even with some limitations of TransCAD in the search for solutions to the optimal pre-hospital care and routing of vehicles of rescue, this work contributed to reach the proposed objectives.

Estudo logístico para exportação do complexo soja - Corredor Ferroviário Centro Leste
The railway modality is one of the most efficient ways to the outflow of agricultural products. Several agricultural producing regions face logistics problems, especially the region of the cerrado located in the middle of the country. This inefficiency causes additional costs to the agricultural products that are exported or to the ones consumed domestically. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify the transport conditions of the soybean complex (grain, bran and oil) in the Central-East Railway Corridor, the most important exported agricultural product, in 2010, that ranked in the forth position of the exported Brazilian products, representing 8,50% (US$ 17.12 billion) in the trade balance. In this study was used the method of train capacity based on the Davies and Stevenson formulas to carry out an operational analyzes of the critical section during the transposition of the Serra do Tigre between the Km 694.880 and 782.552 of the EF 045 with a 3.08% ramp and minimum radius of curvature of 71,00 m which reduces severely the composing velocity and restrings the cargo capacity. The results showed that the trains can be a compound of 90 railway cars with maximum load of 7.600.00 tons. It was also estimated the cost of the railway transportation in this corridor between the Railway Station of Brejo Alegre (Araguari/MG) and the Railway Station Eldorado (Contagem/MG), considering fixed and variable costs. The achieved result was really close to the freight cost suggested by the National Agency of Land Transportation (ANTT).

Produção e caracterização de compósitos de matriz epóxi reforçada com fibra de rami para fins de reforço estrutural
The advent of modern technology has caused an increase in the use of natural resources, making it necessary the development of green technologies", which materials and technologies more environmentally frindly. Thus, various research are being conducted to ensure environmental preservation combined with the comfort and safety for the society. Among these is the use of natural fibers as reinforcement in composites, both in Brazil and in several parts of the world, because of its many social and economic advantages. This research analyze the production of epoxy matrix reinforced with ramie fibers for application as structural reinforcement material. The ramie fibers and composites with different contents (0%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 60%) and with cloth ramie (50%) was characterized for their mechanical properties, which was determined modulus of elasticity, tensile strength and maximum strain rupture. The results obtained for ramie fibers were lower than in the literature. To composites the results showed that with the increase content fibers, the mechanical properties are significant improvement, and that the composites with cloth ramie thread in the same fibers content showed improve mechanical properties. These properties were of magnitude the epoxy matrix composite with carbon fibers, with different geometric characteristics. So than, is possible to obtain a composite of epoxy matrix reinforced with ramie fibers with good performance for use as structural reinforcement.

Estudo do BDI sobre o preço de obras empreitadas
The BDI, Anglo-Saxon term, \"Budget Difference Income\" means \"an additional difference,\" when a civil works construction company, needs to determine the price for a work to be performed in the regime of global enterprise or contract unit price . In Brazil, adopted the term \"Indirect Costs and Benefits \" and includes all indirect costs considered during the execution of a work. These \"Indirect Costs\", expressed by the BDI, follow no rules to standardize the calculation, however, nowadays, it is possible to reach BDIs expenditures that make up these costs and values, accepted by most of the estimators.This paper presents a review of current methodology of calculating the BDI and analyse the BDIs used by forty three construction companies participating in twenty five bids held by the Federal University of Uberlandia, between the years 2004 to 2009. The main objective of this paper is to present a methodology for apportionment of the Central Administration AC . It is an analysis of various proposals for AC and presented the rationale of the proposed methodology. To validate it, presents the results of case study in one company used the BDI and determined with the use of the proposed methodology.

A reinserção dos cursos de água em áreas urbanas. Estudo de caso: Microbacia do Córrego Jataí - Uberlândia /MG
The main objective of this work is to promote the reinsertion of urban water in the context of physical and territorial planning, in the cities, through the study of the watershed of Jataí stream in Uberlândia-MG. Pursuiting the rebalancing of the waters with the urban environment, this work promote the connectivity and physical strengthening of the relations between man and environment / nature. The study analyzed the environmental impacts generated in the watershed with the process of urbanization and infrastructure works carried out in the stream and surrounding areas. Simulation of 4 (four) scenarios were proposed and hydrological parameters were raised in a natural conditions (before the urbanization process), as far as current urbanization, complete urbanization and ideal urbanization. To develop this ideal scenario, direct and preventive urban interventions were proposed, through the inclusion of an ecological and sustainable urban design, with the use of green infrastructure, such as parks and green areas, based on the principles of an environmental planning and structured in an Ecological-Economic Zoning (EEZ) of the watershed of Jataí stream. The results were compared and evaluated in an integrated manner, with the use of remote sensing techniques and the guidelines adopted showed a positive result in the hydrological simulations, with the significant increase in permeability, time of concentration and reduction of peak flows, showing, respectively, in the scenarios A, B, C and D the following values: 2,81 m3/s, 19,70 m3/s, 51,24 m3/s, and 15,15 m/3s.Thus, it is understood that, through the control of the permeation rates, considering only the areas of public use, such interventions are sufficient to promote significant effects on the control of direct runoff and flooding, allowing the minimization of environmental impacts.

Avaliação da contaminação do solo pela disposição inadequada de resíduos sólidos em Romaria-MG
This research seeks to demonstrate in a simplified manner, the risks of inappropriate use areas and techniques for the disposal of solid waste in small urban centers. In these areas, waste is dumped on the ground without any measure of protection to the environment or public health, which affects soil quality and ecological balance. Another aspect is of utmost importance in these areas because of proximity to watercourses, which might have an adverse effect on quality. Thus, researched the city of Romaria-MG as an example of the problems described. The municipality is located in the Triangulo Mineiro region with land area of 401,965 km² and an estimated population of 3.636 inhabitants. The \"dump\" open pit is located 1.5 km from the urban area with total area of 10,523.51 m², being considered for this study, only the area with the greatest ease of operation with 9.820 m². The \"dump\" is far from 203.65 meters from the main source of water in the city of Estrela do Sul, Minas Gerais, River Bagagem. In the study area is possible to diagnose various types of waste, including organics, recyclables, the health service, the construction etc. The parameters analyzed allowed the characterization of the study area, as well as the investigation of soil contamination by heavy metals. Thus, we tried to steer some measure of recovery of the area through modern techniques of environmental geotechnical.

Indicadores de mobilidade urbana sustentável para a cidade de Uberlândia, MG
To the extent that environmental, economical and social problems are responsible for the decline of the quality of life in the cities it is necessary to deploy sustainable measures, as well as to monitor the elements that characterize the urban environment. Thus, indicators of mobility have become basic instruments to promote the knowledge and the information for understanding the particularities presented in the urban areas. The main objective of this research was to identify indicators of urban mobility for city of Uberlândia, MG, by utilizing the Index of Sustainable Urban Mobility IMUS, a tool of analysis of sustainable urban mobility. The specific objectives aimed at to appraise sustainable development, to understand urban mobility, to identify sustainable urban mobility and the accessibility, to define indicators of sustainable mobility, to calculate the IMUS for city of Uberlândia and to evaluate the results. 80 out of the 87 indicators defined by the Guide of Indicators of the IMUS were calculated. The score found for Global IMUS, 0.717, in a scale that goes from 0,00 the 1,00, can indicate that the city has adopted public policies favorable to urban mobility. The main aspects that indicate the concern with sustainable urban mobility are the Social and Ambiental aspects and Accessibility. However, the domain not Motorized Modes contributed less for urban mobility in Uberlândia, by verifying that there are no parking lots for bicycles in public transportation terminals, as well as it is reduced the number of exclusive lanes for bikes and paths for pedestrians in the city. The result from IMUS can be an important instrument for the deployment of public policies that add improvements for the urban mobility and accessibility and its computation can be improved embracing new indicators in future works.
