The low quality of education and the high level of failures are not due nowadays to lack of vacancies in schools. But they are connected with the working conditions given by the Government to the teachers: long hours and low salaries.

The CD-Rom is a multimidia language of multidisciplinary use very helpful for education but, as the author points out, the electronic resources must be incorporated aiming the practice of a pedagogy centered on the whole (not fragmented) development of the student and worried about the global evolution of the person.

The authors discuss the necessary interrelation between health and education whenever attitudes concerning the environment must be taken. They believe that such relations must surpass the . approaches essentially biologicals and reach the social, economic and political magnitude required nowadays.

The article is about violence shown on TV programs. The author points out ten different approaches for the problem. Among them the most important ones are: the influente of violent programs on TV viewers; the strategy of getting more viewers and publicity by means of violent themes; relationship between young people and criminality; the midia and its capacity to juge the crime and the criminal and the stigmatization of poverty and the city of Rio de Janeiro as violent.

The article tells about the different approaches - theoretical as well as methodological - of the researches related to moral and social impact of massive means of communication, specially television, on TV viewers. It gives a general idea of the intentions of each school, restates the complexity of factors concerning the relation emmission - reception and it recommends a careful caracterization of these influences. 

The authors accomplish a gathering of researches concerning the theme television and children. They point out the different theoretical approaches starting with the studies of the effects and uses and then observing the current problems of the procedures, strategies and mediations of reception.

Rosicler Martins Rodrigues tells about her personnal experience as an author of paradidactic books for students of elementary school. She deals with the importance of this kind of reading in disclosing science to make young people develop their skills as researchers.

The caricaturist Maringoni talks about the characteristics of the political caricature on the pages of important newspapers. He comments on the humor and the fragile perenity of this kind of 6 graphic editorialo on the national daily newspapers. He lists the most important caricaturists who worked for the Brazilian press, from Angelo Agostini to Chico Caruso. 

The Portuguese teacher proposes to 6th grade students to work with poetical texts in order to develop their creativeness, their capacity of reading and interpretation so that they will be able to produce their own texts.
