Ambiências comunicativas
O autor evidencia como o termo comunicação parece cada vez mais ancorado e dependente da existência de outra dimensão, onde informações, notícias e acontecimentos, aparentemente,abandonaram os fluxos interpessoais para viverem no e do exclusivo universo maquínico. Com essa ressalva, alerta sobreuma provável falsa impressão de verdade, denominando-a de sinédoque das ocorrências comunicacionais. O excesso de visualidade e audição gerado pelo espalhamento dos media oferece, assim, uma espécie de ocultação, uma máscara,que termina por recobrir a própria ideia do fazer comunicativo. A apresentação, por fim, ao encaminhar os artigos desta ediçãoindica as várias dimensões em que se pode operar com o conceito de comunicação.
Communication and education: contemporary implications
Com este texto prosseguimos na sistematização e difusão de novos dados recolhidos em pesquisa que realizamos entre2006 e 2009 com professores do Ensino Fundamental e Médio da rede pública municipal e estadual de São Paulo. Procura-se,agora, indagar acerca de tensões que regem as relações entre as práticas profissionais docentes e as circunstâncias implicadascom o campo social mediático.
The space of media in school
This article results from the thematic table The Space of Media in School (2008) and the creation of the undergraduatecourse of teachers formation in Educommunication, by the University Council of Universidade de São Paulo (2009). The author proposes a reflection and places some issues, setting the need of understanding that spaces of articulation are needed in order to create a professional with expertise in the fields of Communication and Education in its pedagogicaland dicdatical dimensions to contribute to the formation of teachers for all levels of education and with the qualification ofeducational institutions. The author points out, predominantly, the Space of Teaching in Primary Education in its three levels (EB EF1e2, IN), and in the University Education. With the approval by the University Council of the undergraduate course of Teaching of Communication, in 2009, she indicates the creation of this new space as possible articulator, by excellence, of university institutions such as ECA/USP and FE/USP, which are directly connected to Education as a specific process of communication.
A bela Junie: a questão do duplo vai à tela do cinema
This article is based on the matter of the double applied to reading a photograph, especially a portrait. Such an imprisoned image acquires projection quality and becomes concious, playingthe role of an autonomous entity which survives the subject who grounded its genesis, sharing a certain identification with him. A paradox is before us: the photograph, as a double, reveals itselfat the same time as the presence of an absence, and the absence of a presence. We chose the film La belle personne in order to analyze the anthropological role of the photograph.
The cultural experience of reading
This text discusses the role of schools in shaping of readers and what it should do with the texts of wide circulation. Argues that reading is a cultural experience based on the relationship betweenthis activity and reader’s everyday culture, stressing that schools should be able to offer a competence in reading, for rootingthis practice.
Communication in solidary enterprises
The article proposes a reflection of the communication process on the practice of self-management in solidary enterprises.The investigated organizations were located in São Leopoldo city, in Southern Brazil. The survey aimed to map the different forms of participation of individuals involved and how it is involved in collective decisions. The text is the result of two researches: the first was made by undergraduates in Social Communication; and the second by research interns in the Graduate Program of Social Science at UNISINOS. Qualitative methodology was used to collect and analyze information.The results showed that the workers have representations of self-management linked to autonomy. However, over the practice were demonstrates the difficulties of exercise theshare power and it is powerfully through a limited process of communication.

Comunicação ambiental para o século XXI
Cada vez mais se tem tomado consciência da necessidade de proteger e cuidar do meio ambiente. As organizações realizam trabalhos de conscientização através de campanhas de sensibilização da opinião pública. Neste artigo se realizauma aproximação conceitual atendendo às estratégias, aos instrumentos e mecanismos que se integram dentro deste tipo de Comunicação ecológica, e se constata que se trata de ferramenta útil, atual e eficaz para construir mensagens com eficiente potencial persuasivo para uma Gestão que tem um triplo benefício: para o usuário, para a instituição e para a sociedade em geral.

Hallucination of the possible communication for the São Paulo City library: the Mário de Andrade of Mário de Andrade
A Biblioteca Mário de Andrade é dona do segundo maior acervo do Brasil. Criada em 1926, viveu seu auge entre as décadas de 1940 e 1960. A partir daí, a falta de interesse e de investimentos dos sucessivos governos, as transformações sociais e a influência dos meios de comunicação fizeram com que ela se tornasse uma instituição decadente. Em 2007, foi fechada para um amplo processo de reformas com o propósito de revitalizá-la. O presente trabalho procura demonstrar que a BMA só será capaz de recuperar o seu espaço com a realização de um projeto amplo, que contemple questões como os anseios e as expectativas dos usuários, a busca da integração entre a biblioteca e seu entorno e o resgate de seu papel como centro de difusão de cultura, de espaço de interação entre pessoas.

Melodrama as a Journalism Genre: a look at the case Isabella Nardoni
Esta crítica propõe uma reflexão sobre a dimensão da recepção no processo de midiatização do caso Isabella de Oliveira Nardoni, de cinco anos de idade, defenestrada do sexto andar do Edifício London no distrito da Vila Guilherme, em São Paulo, na noite do dia 29 de março de 2008, e no julgamento dos acusados em 22 de março de 2010, amplamente divulgado pelos meios de comunicação no espaço dedicado ao jornalismo. Analisam-se aqui as estratégias utilizadas para mobilizar as audiências a partir do uso de recursos próprios da narrativa ficcional e do gêneromelodramático. Busca-se também ampliar as referências sobre a compreensão do papel dos receptores nas mediações dosconteúdos veiculados pela mídia comercial.
Music that forms citizens
The artistic group called Meninos do Morumbi (Boys from Morumbi), composed by youths from São Paulo and createdinside the organization that has the same name, assists more than three thousand children, most of them from low incomecommunities. Nowadays, most of the entity maintenance comes from the presentations accomplished by those youths, in events inside and outside Brazil. Considered as model project in Brazil by UNESCO, the Meninos do Morumbi (Boys from Morumbi), have already received prizes from institutionsas UNICEF, Culture Ministry, Trade American Camera and Rotary International, among many others. In this deposition given tothe magazine Communication & Education, Flávio Pimenta, MM conductor and founder, tells us about the history and the project conquests guided by the balance between communitywork and professional performance.
Experimental projects, integrated projects and experimental agencies: new practicies on teaching of communication
Communication teaching demands particular strategies due technological development as well as specifi c characteristicsof the study object, hardly separated from its subject. Here we present some practices in teaching communication anddiscussion about how they cooperate for the development of investigative skills of graduation students, promoting interest for scientifi c research. As part of the regular curriculum, we present Experimental and Integrated Projects, that lead students to reflect about theory as they deal with practical situations, having to apply scientific methods to creatively solve problems of real organizations. As extra-curricular activities, we have the practice at the Experimental Agencies.

The Research Center of Natural History and Archaeology of Maranhão – CPHNAMA, linked to the State Secretary of Culture, has as objective to promote the study, valorization andpreservation of Maranhão patrimonial heritage, specifically the archaeological and palaeontological resources and assetsand the material culture and traditions of indigenous peoples. Besides the systematic development of research activities inthe areas of Paleontology, Archaeology and Ethnology, it develops patrimonial education-focused actions through the preparation, organization and execution of exhibitions, cultural events, exhibitions, seminars, lectures and classes for different audiences.

Entre meios e formatos: diferentes maneiras de conhecer histórias e personagens da América Latina
A Videografia deste número demonstra que, na atual sociedade em rede, as informações estão para além das páginas dos livros e das salas de aula, disseminadas nos mais diferentes suportes de comunicação. Desse modo, o professor não precisa apenas se ater às sequências dos conteúdos do livro didático, mas partir de uma das informações e/ou recursos audiovisuais para tratar dos conteúdos programáticos. A Revolução Cubana registrada pelas lentes de Alberto Korda e a trajetória política de Ernesto Che Guevara, contada em três filmes – Diários de motocicleta, de Walter Sales, Che: Part One e Che: Part Two (A guerrilha), ambos de Steven Soderbergh, são exemplos utilizados na seção para a aplicação destes recursos.

Communication/education: reinterpretation of the communication technologies field
This paper discusses the importance of understanding the use of information and communication technologies in the educational space. It is assumed that they are products of the cultural market oriented logic, with well-targeted language and use, and that, once introduced in schools, they go through a process of reinterpretation. Educators must understand such techniquesand languages complexities to, by utilization, give them a new direction and signification in the task of forming new citizens.
Estudos de recepção para entender os usos da mídia na escola
The author approaches the issue of reception dealing with traditional media and the new ones brought by Internet.She introduces the idea that, if mass media devices segmented production and reception, simulating a passive receptor,web.2 and social networks are improving the communication process, giving visibility to the role of the subject as receptor/producer of speeches. She advocates that the reception studies have a theoretical- -methodological approach that allows theresearcher to understand the function of media and how they reverberate in the daily life of social groups, communitiesand cultures. In the field of communication/ education, the reception studies to go out of the opposition almightytransmitter versus passive receiver or, on the other hand, the simulation of neutral transmitter versus almighty receiver/consumer. These researches have as objectiveto understand communication as a process accomplished in and for the interaction of determined and historical subjectsinside a context, sharing cultural codes systems and, by doing it, act producing/renewing society.
