Metodologias ativas no ensino de história: aprendendo e ensinando a partir da pesquisa

The purpose of this material is to share a methodological proposal, aimed at teaching History, the result of an experience previously carried out with a school in the municipal teaching network in Cachoeira do Sul, central region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, which resulted positively for a later product proposal with the Master's Degree in History Teaching - PROFHISTÓRIA. The practice proposal presented here is based on three pillars: Active Methodologies, Project Pedagogy and Teaching through Research. The Pilot Project was applied in a period of one quarter, during the 2018 school year. The students chosen to experience this experience belonged to the 8th year of Elementary School I, at the Sagrado Coração de Jesus School, located in Vila Piquiri, 34 km away from central area of Cachoeira do Sul. For the realization of this report, studies of several classical thinkers of Education were used, with their theories referring to the proposed methods, as well as current ones, through their contemporary views on the subject. The aim of this report is to provoke debate on educational practice, given the challenges that teaching has been facing over time, as well as to lead a reflection on the modus operandi of teaching and the methods used to promote the construction of knowledge, especially in the teaching of history. And, no less important, sharing the lived experience in order to encourage more and more alternatives for the production of knowledge through teaching at all stages of training.

Neuropatia periférica induzida por quimioterapia: uma revisão integrativa da literatura

Antineoplastic chemotherapy represents the use of isolated or combined chemical substances in the treatment of malignant tumors, being considered one of the most important ways to fight cancer. Peripheral neuropathy (PN) is a clinical condition characterized by impairment of sensitive nerves and / or peripheral motors, which can have multiple causes. The main diseases that cause PN are repetitive strain injury, diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatism, psoriasis, hypothyroidism, leprosy, heavy metal poisoning and it is also the adverse effect of certain medications such as some antimicrobials, statins and especially drugs antineoplastic. Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a neurological syndrome that mainly affects patients undergoing treatment with antineoplastic agents such as taxanes (docetaxel, paclitaxel and cabazitaxel), platinum derivatives (oxaliplatin, cisplatin and carboplatin), bortezomib and vinca alkaloids (vimblastine, vincristine and vinorelbine). CIPN is the most frequent neurological complication, secondary to antineoplastic treatment and affects one third of patients, interfering with functionality and compromising quality of life. This NPIQ has different degrees of toxicity, varying according to the type of medication used, time of administration and cumulative dose. An integrative review was carried out on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and its effects on cancer patients using scientific articles published, over the past five years, in the databases SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library on Line), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), Medical Literature Analysis (PubMed / MEDLINE) and Spanish Health Sciences Bibliographic Index (IBECS) according to the following eligibility criteria: studies dealing with NPIQ and its effects on cancer patients and possible prevention-related strategies and interventions, minimization and treatment of CIPNs, which included potentially neurotoxic chemotherapy in the treatment in scientific, national and international articles, published in Portuguese, English and Spanish and indexed in the databases in the last five years, including 2015 to the 2020. The final sample consisted of 10 studies published in the past 05 years. There was a small number of studies dealing with the topic, identifying the need to carry out studies of this type, due to the high incidence of NPIQ, so that prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies can be shared, with consequent improvement in quality. assistance. The more clinical practices / results are discussed, the greater the number of strategies to improve the quality of life of these patients.

Movimentos da ABEM para a educação musical no Brasil: imaginários sociais em construção pelas narrativas de presidentes

This thesis is linked to the Education and Arts Research Area (LP4) of the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and incorporates studies of the research group "FAPEM: formation, action and research in music education". Its main objective was to understand movements, memories and history, instituted and instituting ABEM as an institution that enhances Brazilian Music Education, through the imaginary significations built in the narratives of its presidents. Its specific objectives sought to understand the Association's memory for the construction of a history of its trajectory, through the knowledge present in the presidents' narratives, memories and recollections; understand how ABEM has intensified and constituted movements and proposals in relation to the Brazilian Music Education, highlighting the consolidation of postgraduate studies, music education in Basic Education, and specialized music schools, the production and dissemination of scientific publications and the construction of a collective identity on Brazilian Music Education; analyze what the presidents consider as aspects of the Association's political representation, promoter factors that guide the organization of thought processes, planning, and implementation of institutional proposals. Thus, Bibliographic Research (LIMA; MIOTO, 2007) and Narrative Biographical Investigation (SOUZA, 2014), and approaches with the Social Imaginary Theory (CASTORIADIS, 1982), were used as the basis for the analysis and interpretation of data, and deep theoretical understanding. Seven (07) presidents of ABEM participated in this the investigation, through narrative interviews, from its foundation to the present time (1991-2019). From this setting, a thesis of live, imaginary narratives of the presidents was constructed. It legitimizes the Brazilian Association of Music Education, as a place of recognition and collective representation, which through its instituted and instituting movements, emphasize the Brazilian Music Education, contributing for the consolidation and organization of an area of knowledge for research, production and scientific dissemination, for Basic Education, for undergraduate and graduate courses in Music and Education, for the promotion of national public policies for Basic Education and also in the development of international policies. It is noteworthy to highlight that this research sought to contribute to the thinking process about the social imaginary significations and their movements and memories of stories narrated by ABEM, by its presidents, to the Brazilian Music Education. It also enhanced the perception of the construction of the Institution's political representation, its organizational areas, and the implementation of institutional proposals. The thesis organizes the existence of 30 years of ABEM as an institution that was created through instituted and instituting movements, led by presidents and their directors, showing a scientific community that is consolidated.

O Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (PPGH/UFSM) realizou o II CONGRESSO INTERNACIONAL DE HISTÓRIA DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE SANTA MARIA: Poder, Cultura e Sociedade – II CIHIS/UFSM, nos dias 05, 06 e 07 de novembro de 2019, na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (Santa Maria, RS, Brasil). A primeira edição do congresso foi realizada em 2016, contando com uma ampla participação da comunidade acadêmica do Brasil e de países da América do Sul. Como uma atividade do Programa de Pós-graduação em História, desenvolvemos discussões acerca do poder, da cultura e da sociedade nos seus mais diversos âmbitos e níveis de manifestações, buscando proporcionar à comunidade acadêmica-científica e ao público interessado um espaço de divulgação, problematização, criação, atualização, diálogo e encontro. Foi um espaço de discussão para a construção de novas perspectivas para a área das Ciências Humanas e Sociais, e, especialmente, da História.

Reflexões sobre inclusão e formação docente de uma comunidade escolar da rede pública municipal de Santa Maria-RS

Considering that an inclusive perspective of teaching is a valuable strategy in facing the issue of dropouts in public schools, the research developed in the Professional Master's in Public Policy and Educational Management - PPPG at the Federal University of Santa Maria - UFSM aimed to analyze aspects related to inclusion and teacher training among the different segments of a municipal public-school community in Santa Maria-RS. Through the studies within the scope of the research theme, its specific objectives were: to analyze the conceptions of a school community about inclusion; to narrate and describe aspects of the teachers' education with a reflective approach promoted in the context of the research; to check the impacts of teacher training on the inclusive education among teachers; to register the process of collective construction of an Action Plan. Within the context of the Projeto Educação Gaúcha Conectada,created by the Federal government and adapted to the reality of education in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the actions of this research involved the promotion of local teacher training and the preparation of an Action Plan for the project at the school with the involvement of the community. Those actions characterize this study as an Action Research of the qualitative type. Data collection involved the application of a questionnaire to students' parents/guardians, teachers, management team, and pedagogical coordination, in addition to direct observation of the proposed actions, resorting to content analysis of the collection instruments, categorized in themes inclusion, action plan and teacher training. This analysis, records, and some reflections upon the course of the research are presented here, among discussions with authors who deal with related themes. It's noticeable that the construction of the Action Plan for a local project, which constituted the product of this research, highlighted the importance of the integration between the school and the community to promote inclusion, stimulating a sense of belonging and engagement in the different sectors of the institution. On the other hand, teacher training pronounced how these formations have an effect on the inclusive process through teachers' practices. The challenges that these education professionals, including managers, face on the path to inclusion highlighted the complexity of the inclusive process in an educational institution. It was concluded, through the obtained results, that the view of the school community regarding inclusion influenced the institution's inclusive process, while this same view has been influenced by the actions proposed in this process as well.

Uso da água, rendimento de grãos e teores de óleo de girassol submetido a diferentes estratégias de irrigação

The crescent imbalance between water demand and supply in agriculture, especially irrigated agriculture, has motivated the use of new irrigation management tools, including improving crop water requirement estimates, i.e., crop evapotranspiration (ETc). Improving the ETc implies adjusting the parameters used to estimate it, that is, the reference evapotranspiration (ETo) and the crop coefficients (Kc) throughout the crop cycle. Kc can be derived using crop parameters such as leaf area index (LAI), the fraction of ground cover (fc), and plant height since Kc represents a fraction of the ETo of any vegetation, under the conditions in which it is being cultivated. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate the yield responses of achenes and sunflower oil content submitted to different irrigation strategies and assess the effectiveness of the Allen e Pereira (2009) approach to derive the sunflower crop coefficients. The experiment was conducted inside a rainout shelter, in the 2019/20 growing season, in an experimental area of the Irriga System - UFSM. The experimental design was a completely randomized (DIC), organized in a 2x4 factorial model, with three replications. Factor A was composed of residues on the soil surface (with and without straw), while factor B consisted of irrigation management. Fixed irrigations of ± 15 mm were applied whenever the available soil water (ASW) reached 80, 70, 60, and 50% of the TAW (total available water). Soil water content was monitored with FDR sensors, up to 55 cm in depth. We combined plant parameters, such as LAI and plant height, with climate variables (relative humidity, wind speed) and the effects of density and the canopy transpiration resistance to estimate Kcb and Kc during the sunflower growing season, using the A&P approach. The Kcb derived for the initial, intermediate, and final phases were 0.25, 1.01, and 0.75, respectively. The association of the accumulated degree-days with the LAI throughout the cycle demonstrated an excellent adjustment, indicating that LAI can be estimated for sunflowers from air temperature. There was no interaction between straw and water management factors; different irrigation strategies did not result in statistical differences between yield and yield components. However, the oil contents decreased with the increasing of the total water depth during the cycle, indicating that the moment of occurrence of the deficit may have influenced this variable.

Desenvolvimento de material didático digital para apoio ao ensino da contabilidade introdutória na educação profissional e tecnológica

This master's research was developed within the research line Innovation for EPT of the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (CTISM/UFSM), and presents as a general objective to develop digital teaching materials (DTM to support the teaching practices of teachers of Introductory Accounting. This objective is justified by the fact that Accounting is an area of education with scarce digital didactic materials for use by teachers in their teaching practices, especially in technical courses, in which teaching has a more practical approach and is connected to the reality of the labor world. The authors who supported this study were: Andrade (2015); Peleias (2006, 2007); Felder-Silvermann (1988, 2002); Amiel (2018), Filatro (2018), among others. An applied research was chosen, since it is a study with the purpose of solving problems identified in the scope of the researcher's experience. As a result, a website was developed, called REA_CONT, of free and open access, which brings together a collection of activities and varied content, which will serve as support for teachers, as well as the site also provides tutorials so that teachers, who prefer to develop their own teaching materials, have an initial path to support themselves. The site was qualitatively evaluated by teachers and students from higher and technical education, and the data collected served to attest that the research achieved its proposed objective, which contributes to the teachers' teaching practices and to the students' study and review of content. The work will continue, expanding the development of materials for areas other than Introductory Accounting, and for this it already has scholarship holders for the development of materials.
