What one intends is the rescue of certain aspects that should be considered when one reflects about the equality/inequality question and the contemporary expressions it assumes, specially the way it has been retrieved both in the ethic-political and socio-cultural aspects.

The Social Assistance net: future or present?
Nowadays, the NET conception as a strategy to give new vision and pratice to the social work services that the population uses is a challenge. Such challenge involves those engaged with the effectiveness of public social assistance policy, among them popular foruns and concils are included . The NET conception calls for a change in concept, where the right of citzenship becomes a priority and the interface between services and resourse’s administration in each town be a reality. It requests a broad discussion with the society where the law of social assistance (LOAS) be a major theme, so that the NET may be more than the future that is, be present in each citizen’s life.

Considering that the learning of a concept occurs during the school process, due to the different mathematical situations experienced by the subjects, and that, when it comes to the conecpt of related function, the student's constitution of his basic ideas (variable, correspondence, dependecy, regularity and generalization) must be provided from the Initial Years, and developed during scholing, we report in this text an investigation with the objective of identifying if and how these basic ideas are mobilized by Brazilian students of the final years of Elementary Education and from highschool. In this context, we analyzed the strategies for solving three tasks related to each other, being a task of the Multiplicative Conceptual Fiedl, solved by the six subjects of Elementary School, and two tasks involving mixed problems, one applied to the twelve participants of the investigation and the other only to the six high school students. Body culture of movement in question: an analysis about the object of Physical Education as a vector of processes of subjectivation with the body
It treats a important aspect for the teaching of Physical Education (PE): the possible relation between the office of teacher and the object of teaching, after reformulations in progressive proposals. The idea of "body culture" does not solve the contradiction between taking bodily practices as the substratum of awareness of the human condition and engendering bodily practices as a way of resisting domination. It seeks to question the concept of bodily practices to draw attention to the idea that there is a direct exchange of meaning between body and culture. To do this, we analyzed how Football Freestyle was organized when the practice stood out as something different than soccer through the analysis of a forum, showing processes of subjectivity; and we analyze also studies that specifically deal with the theme. We understand that bodily practices present material immanence, which can be a way for the pedagogical practices of PE.

Media and market: mediations in the construction of meanings of the consumption of “branded clothes”
Taking as an empirical universe a neighborhood located in the outskirts of Santo André, city of the metropolitan region of São Paulo, this article seeks to contribute to the understanding of the symbolic dimension of consumer goods and the meanings attributed to them in peripheral contexts. Specifically, we approached the relationship with the universe of designer brands, or, in the words of the interlocutors, branded clothes, starting from conversations conducted during a focus group with young people (18 to 24 years old), as well as some excerpts from individual interviews. and field notebook records. It also discusses the role of guiding guidance by the media, disseminating styles of clothing and accessories, as well as brands, especially sports. We are interested in identifying the modes of appropriation and use, as well as motivations for consumption – beyond practical-utilitarian reasons – by discussing the relevance of the hegemonic sociological explanation, which points to the logic of imitation-distinction as main motivator for this practice (VEBLEN, 1983; SIMMEL, 2006; BOURDIEU, 2007).

The education project for school Physical Education: a look at the educational policies of the last twenty years
This study investigated the education project for the Physical Education school present in the educational policies of Brazil in the last twenty years. Materialistic dialectics was used as a method of analysis and bibliographical research and documentary analysis as research techniques. We note with this study that the education project present in the legislation, refers us to a neoliberal project, which through educational policies points to the privatization of education. Although some official documents point to physical education as a major curriculum component for the training of students, the educational policies implemented do not guarantee this prerogative. The legislation has weakened the permanence of school physical education in the curriculum of basic education, with the reform of secondary education and the elaboration of the BNCC.

The social dynamics of disrespect: On the location of critical theory today
In this article, which originally is the text of Axel Honneth’s inaugural speech at the the Otto- Suhr-Institut at the Free University of Berlin, the author delineates the program of an intersubjective theory of recognition, taking that category as the conceptual core of a Critical Theory of society in which pre-theoretical experiences of disrespect of one’s social expectations are connected to the emergence of emancipatory claims.
From progressive Neoliberalism to Trump – and beyond
In ths article, Nancy Fraser reviews the failure of the politically hegemonic model of an alliance between a progressive version of recognition politics and a regressive version of economical politics, deemed by her progressive neoliberalism. Challenged by the rise of hyper-reactionary, symbolizes by Donald Trump, the author defends the idea of a progressive version of populism as a counter-hegemonic actor in the current context.
Recognition, justice and the question of autonomy: challenges for a normative social theory
Scientific knowledge in general, and social theory in particular, progress with public debates. The debate that Nancy Fraser and Axel Honneth had two and a half decades ago contributed to better explain, in the context of Critical Theory, issues related to recognition, distributive justice, and also to the autonomy of individuals in a scenario in which new social movements and new themes contributed to diversify social struggles. This text briefly recalls the change in the scenario, delineate in large traces the emergence of Axel Honneth’s proposal for a theory of recognition, to then addresses some of the key lessons learned in that debate, as well as points out contributions of Fraser to the field of Critical Theory. It concludes with a reflection on some implications of the debate that could become productive in our context.

“Which Side are You On, Ariel?”: Recognition and redistribution in Boaventura de Sousa Santos’s theory of emancipation
The article deals with Boaventura de Sousa Santos’s approach to the debate between recognition and redistribution. Having in mind both José Martí’s idea of Nuestra America and the Shakespearean metaphor of Ariel, Santos develops what he names subaltern paradigm of recognition (difference) and redistribution (equality), based on an epistemology of the south which he opposes to the so- called European-American paradigm, understood as the neo-liberal globalization. He argues, then, for the need to face this dominant paradigm of globalization with a counter-hegemonic paradigm of globalization.

Redistribution or recognition, 15 years later. Considering the debate between Nancy Fraser and Axel Honneth, as well as its echoes in Brazil
The aim of this paper is to discuss how Nancy Fraser’s and Axel Honneth’s intellectual projects evolved through different paths after their 2003 debate and additionally if, and how, this paths could be proven fruitful to Brazilian social theory. I begin by showing how the debate was sparkled by the attempt of both Fraser and Honneth to offer a picture of present-day capitalism through the analysis of social struggle, particularly, through an understanding of how (I). After that, however, both of them focused on a rather systemic understanding of capitalism, which resulted in different conceptions of social conflict (II). Since, however, their fruitfulness for the understanding of social conflicts was very distinctive of the debate’s reception in Brazil, the new path undergone by Fraser and Honneth also changes the way their models can be made useful here (III).
