From the research to the classroom - Practical application of dialectical heterogeneity in Portuguese language teaching from Miriam Lemle's proposal on dialectal heterogeneity: a call to research
This article aims to retrieve, in the text of the author Miriam Lemle, entitled Dialectal Heterogeneity: a call to research, the questions of linguistic variation, re-signifying them, from a practical activity and based on the current processes of variation, much Influenced by globalization and the advent of the Internet. The idea is to show how the method of contrastive linguistics, used in teaching-learning L2, can be useful in the teaching of mother tongue, as proposed by Lemle. The article shows, therefore, the development, in class, of an activity applied in a group of Education for Youths and Adults, in which the method already mentioned is used, seeking the students' reflection on the need to consider Linguistic adequacy rather than the notions of "right" and "wrong" with regard to the use of language. Finally, it presents a reflection on this activity, without aiming to point out results, but rather to share an educational experience that can help, mainly, the teacher, in the task of teaching through a perspective based on Applied Linguistics

Cora Coralina: memory and representation of self in the construction of social consciousness
As from Poemas dos becos de Goiás e estórias mais, by Cora Coralina, this study proposes an investigation of the representation of the self and the emergence of memorial poems of poet by Goiás. For both, we intend to resume the idea that the materiality or the apparent fixity of space reinforces a relationship of tension between physical and social relations that, in turn, are expressed by imaginary representations. As such, we will cut the poem " Do beco da Vila Rica " and the stories told by Cora Coralina will be analyzed, with the reflection that collective memory and representations of the city through its poetic images.

Primary Metaphors in German learning as a foreign language: a case study
The present work is a case study which investigates the comprehension of Primary Metaphors in German as a foreign language. Assuming that the Primary Metaphors are potentially universal, it was aimed to analyze the comprehension of five metaphors in the foreign language from the linguistic actualization elaborated by the learner, as well as verify if the second language learner compares the linguistic instantiations in German with the linguistic instantiation in Portuguese. The results corroborated the assumption that the researched metaphors can be potentially universal.

The magic moment in "As pequenas memórias", José Saramago
The memories of childhood are rescued by Jose Saramago in his book As pequenas memórias, released in 2006. In the memorialistic text, the author retrieves and organizes the experiences of his child-self and thus seeks to understand who he was and who he is. While narrates the first moments of his life, Saramago returns to his childhood and attempts to recall his personals experiences and also the social and family situations that were part of it. In this search, the writer’s memories emerge related to those feelings that have marked his past: fears, joys, sorrows and anxieties. Reconstructing, consciously, this pathway is perceiving the marks of those moments experienced by the children of yesterday in the adult of today.

Memory and Poetry: reviving moments and perpetuating the ephemeral
Exploración de la facultad de la memoria y de los recuerdos como modo de aprehensión incierta del tiempo y como tentativa de eternizar el efímero, analizando la vuelta del poeta al pasado, a través de sus recuerdos, y el sentimiento de nostalgia despertado en el lector. Para comprobar esa hipótesis serán utilizados algunos de los poemas de Carlos Drummond de Andrade y Cecília Meireles.

Bilingual lexical disambiguation: the nature of the effects of lexical coactivation between languages
The present study tested whether lexical disambiguation in sentence context is affected by cross-language lexical activation. In the dominant meaning shared condition, Spanish-English bilinguals read English sentences biasing the subordinate meaning of homonyms that were either cognates or non-cognates. Participants’ ability to reject follow-up target words related to the dominant meaning showed greatest inhibition when the homonym was a cognate and the dominant meaning was shared with Spanish. In the subordinate meaning shared condition, Spanish-English bilinguals read sentences biasing the dominant meaning of the homonyms and were instructed to accept target words related to any meaning of the homonym. In this case, cognate status of the homonym facilitated acceptance of targets related to the subordinate meaning when this was shared with Spanish. Findings are discussed in terms of expanding current models of lexical disambiguation to account for bilingual processing.

"In your hands", by Inês Pedrosa: understanding and re-creating the past

The cognitivity development in the language acquisition process
This paper present a reflection about the language acquisition processes and cognitive development. Considering this, I intend to develop questions about the levels of intelligence development and its influence on language, according to the Genetic Epistemology of Jean Piaget. It starts with the hypothesis that the cognitive aspects are necessary in linguistic acquisitions, since the cognitive theories assumed an important interface between both. For this reason we intend to analyze and discuss the nature of this interface.
