A identidade que revela uma origem: um estudo sobre duas universidades comunitárias e confessionais brasileiras
In the current context of higher education in Brazil, the Confessional Community Universities (CCU) have in their values an important factor of differentiation before other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). But rather than differentiating themselves from other institutions, values are part of recognizing the identity of a CCU. The general purpose of this dissertation is to identify the identity elements that characterize two renowned Brazilian community and confessional HEIs. This dissertation therefore analyzed, through collective and individual understanding, the recognition of the identity of two Brazilian CCUs – Mackenzie Presbyterian University (UPM) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). Some HEIs survive and stand out, hence the choice of these two institutions. Values are assumed to be a revealing element of institutional origins. To this end, the methodology adopted allowed differentiating values and institutional principles from the groups that make up these two institutions. The adopted method was qualitative, aiming to explore the establishment of the relationship between education and religion, besides describing the characteristics of the studied HEIs. The research was developed in five stages, the first one, collecting data and information from secondary sources in order to take a about the types of universities and the organization of higher in Brazil. In the second stage, it was developed a document analysis of the Institutional Development Plan (IDP) of the two researched Universities, in order to understand how they are strategically organized and what is the proposed progression for the next five years. The third stage was the exploratory field research, where we visited and photographed the particularities and evidence within the campuses to prove the existence of the physical presence of the values professed by the HEIs. In the fourth stage, a questionnaire was prepared to better understand the general manifestation of the problem, where 5,900 employees, teachers and students answered how they felt about the environment and the coexistence in the institutions and the environment they offer. In the fifth and last stage, the rectors of the two universities were interviewed. The questions elaborated dealt with the identity issue, the contributions of the UCC and the challenges they perceived in contemporary times. The survey results indicate that both the deans and the internal community list the same set of factors, with a consensus about the identity elements of the researched institutions

Ambidestria e sua relação com o desempenho organizacional
This thesis involves the study of the relationship between organizational performance and guidelines for exploration, exploitation and ambidexterity. For the development of this study, two concepts were objects of theoretical considerations and empirical evaluations. The first consists of the types of guidelines used by organizations in the acquisition, organization and management of knowledge, termed as exploration, exploitation and ambidexterity. The second concept refers to organizational performance, this research is based on the Balanced Scorecard - BSC. This study focused on these two concepts can be justified by the importance and influence of the management of organizational knowledge in generating superior performance compared with other companies in the same sector or industry. Besides presenting a theoretical review of the related literature to the issues in question, this study also replicated two scales, a performance measurement proposed by Popadiuk (2006) is divided into four indicators that measure the financial performance indicators that measure 10 customer management, 10 internal management processes and eight that measure learning and growth and other measurement of ambidexterity, exploration and exploitation which consists of 45 indicators, 20 of which classify the company as exploitative and 25 which together rank the company as explotadora. The sample included 249 respondents and the data were processed and validated by means of the technique of Structural Equation Modeling with estimation method Partial Least Squares (PLS) using the SmartPLS 2.0 software. The results were validated empirically. One can also conclude that for this sample the sector of the economy, did not constitute a moderating variable of the relationship between ambidexterity and organizational performance.

A dialética estado-direitos humanos: limites e possibilidades
State and human rights keep close connection between them. The many contemporary state forms agree with the speech of protection of these rights, but the State itself is today its main violator. The contemporary age is heiress of the legal and policitical thought of enlightened modernity, in special of its positivist source. Capitalistic social inequality, disguised by only formal equality, reproduces a process of reification of the human being, equalized to mere merchandise. In this context, human rights represent a form of resistance to the system but the mere defense of rights already established, or the search of new rights, shall not lead to lose of sight the amplest and estructural horizon of search of efective equality. Today the fight is to hinder the human rights retrocession, but always inside the limits of State power that, removed the mystifying veil of the supposedly neutral institucionality, it is the power of the ruling classes. In a future social context, not divided in classes and characterized for an equalitarian social experience, the expression human rights will sound as an old and exceeded eccentricity, meaningless, therefore its enjoyment will be daily and truly universal.

A reserva de jurisdição
The separation of powers, in its historic design, should be glimpsed in its multiple dimensions social, legal, political and organic-functional and if it´s certain that currently it´s not taken into account its social and political dimensions, it has, in the current stage of contemporary constitutional State, the exact meaning of conciliation, equilibrium and harmony between its political and organic-functional dimensions, once it seeks to assign to each established organ certain functions that allow, within a system of checks and balances, harmony, coordination, interdependence, cooperation, to reach a more complete political balance as possible and aiming, at the same time, as far as possible and without harming the pursued balance, to assign functions in accordance to the Constitution, the capability, training, composition, in short, the profile, the vocation and the specific ability of each body, which means that, despite the impossibility of an exclusive attribution, each organ must have a preponderant function. The reservation of jurisdiction, in turn, while available at the same time to organic arrangements and functional efficiency, at the moment that preserves, to the courts, the full exercise of the function that, based on adequacy and efficiency standards, it is constitutionally assigned, as well as the political balance, since focused only on a minimum essential nucleus of typically jurisdictional function, deviates and repudiates the absolute correlation between organ and function and the typical functional exclusivity of a rigid separation that, as seen, would invariably conduct to the supremacy of only one power and, therefore, to a political imbalance, does nothing more than reproduce the idea and the purposes contained in what we call organic-functional and political dimensions of the separation of powers, so we can say that it´s currently the most incisive and faithful expression of separation of powers, as it stands in contemporary constitutional State.

O Conselho de Administração como mecanismo de governança corporativa
A full-fledged capital market calls for mechanisms that favor the channeling of private funds into long-term investments. The presence of Brazil in the global financial scenario has translated into a robust inflow of foreign capital for investment purposes. Along with this factor, the credibility crisis that affected corporate disclosures (notably prompted by the recent frauds detected in US corporations) has highlighted the importance of institutional practices that focus on greater transparency and on the instrumental role of a body in charge of monitoring and assessing corporate management activities. These practices targeted at protecting investor rights have evolved into what is currently known as corporate governance. The adoption of corporate governance as an institutional policy demands an active presence of the Board of Directors, which is the company s decision-making body that has legal authority (among other duties) to ensure corporate transparency and to control the quality of corporate disclosures. All things considered, a developed capital market counts on the Board of Directors as an effective mechanism for the adoption of good corporate governance practices.

Avaliação histológica das cápsulas formadas por implantes de silicone texturizados sem e com cobertura por tela de poliéster (PARIETEX) : estudo em ratas
Introduction: In breast reconstructive surgery, when in many of the patients there is lack of local tissues due to mastectomy, new materials able to cover silicone implants causing less inflammatory reaction and capsular contracture are still necessary. The most known material for this use is the acellular dermal matrix, which, most of the times, has a prohibitive cost. An alternative could be the use of polyester surgical meshes, which have been used for a long time in surgery. Objectives: Histological evaluation of the capsules formed by textured silicone implants non-covered and covered by polyester with porcine collagen sheet mesh. Material and method: Sixty Wistar rats were distributed into two groups with 30 animals each (without and with mesh coverage). Each group was then subdivided into two subgroups to be evaluated within 30 and 90 days post-surgery. Results: The amount of fibroblasts, neutrophils and macrophages was similar among all subgroups. There was a more exacerbated lymphocyte reaction on the 30 days subgroup (p=0.003) in the mesh group and no difference when the subgroups without and with the mesh where compared at 90 days. The foreign-body reaction, granulation tissue and neoangiogenesis were the same among all subgroups. Synovial metaplasia was more discreet in the 90 days in both groups (without mesh p=0.002 and with mesh p <0.001). There was no difference between the groups without and with mesh. The capsule thickness was significantly greater in the presence of mesh, in both subgroups (30 days p <0.001 and 90 days p<0.001). The amount of collagen types I and III was similar on both groups. Conclusions: The amount of fibroblasts, neutrophils and macrophages did not change with the presence of mesh. There was a greater lymphocyte reaction in the 30-day subgroup with mesh. The foreign body reaction, granulation tissue and neoangiogenesis were similar between the subgroups. Synovial metaplasia was more discreet at 90 days in both groups and the capsule thickness was greater with the presence of mesh, in both subgroups. The amount of collagen types I and III was similar on both groups.
As relações afetivas na pós-modernidade e a dramaturgia teatral: o teatro contemporâneo é contemporâneo?
This research analyzes the way that affective relationships are established nowadays and the manner in which they are portrayed in contemporary playwriting. The concept of postmodernity is explored in the first chapter. It presents an overview that embraces some of the most important transformations that society (Western society, mainly) has experienced through this detachment of modernity toward the so-called postmodernity. The denial of great interpretative schemes (metanarratives), the overrated individuality, and the acceptance of the chaotic and fragmented world are some of the characteristics of this postmodern man that are studied therein. In the second chapter the research focuses on affective relationships. The way that people enter into a relationship these days is investigated under three aspects and their outcomes: marriage, sex and fidelity. The bourgeois ideals, that in the 17th century defined the basis of the romantic love, are revisited in the contemporaneity. The democratic relationship between the parts of the couple (and the entire family) is the starting point for the establishment of a new basis toward confluent love. The referred concept of confluent love foresees the gradual conquest of intimacy between the couple that wish to invest in a long-term relationship, assuming that this relationship should be maintained while it is worthwhile for the couple. Lastly, the study looks at three contemporary plays under the concepts presented in the first two chapters. The texts and writers chosen are: Quartos de Hotel (Hotel Rooms), by Mario Bortolotto, Só… Entre Nós (Alone… Between Us), by Franz Keppler, and Love, Love, Love, by Mike Barteltt.

Os efeitos de um simulador de equitação no controle postural de indivíduos com Transtornos do Espectro do Autismo
The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are a group of conditions of neurobiological causes early onset and chronic course that is characterized by impairments in three areas of development: interaction social, communication and behavior. Evidences has shown that this population losses beyond the diagnostic triad, impairment in motor development as deficits in postural control in motor coordination and sensory integration. Among the practices interventional aimed contemplate the sensorimotor behavior disorders is the riding therapy. This practice therapeutic uses as main feature the movement of the horse that is multidimensional, rhythmic, repetitive ordering of whom is mounted postural adjustments in order to maintain balance. Research in this area indicate that the use of the horse's movement may contribute significantly to the improvement of postural control, balance and coordination contributing to higher motor functionality. The present study examined the effects of the movements of a horse by means of a horseback riding simulator on postural control in individuals with ASD. The participants were eight boys with ASD, 7-15 years old, who underwent an intervention protocol of twelve sessions, twenty minutes each, with a horseback riding simulator. For the evaluation were used the force plate to measure the oscillations of the body during static balance and motor performance test that evaluates with the KTK aspects of motor skills such as balance, rhythm, laterality, speed and agility in four tasks. The results after interventions showed statistically significant improvements (p <0.01) for static and (p <0.04) for motor performance in tasks speed and rhythm.

Eficácia e comportamento do tempo de imunidade em um modelo de descontaminação de reticulados por autômatos celulares
Cellular automata are models where, out of the application of a local rule to the cells of their regular lattice, global behaviour emerges. Depending on the rule applied, the emergent behaviour may be interpreted as a computation, or used to simulate various types of phenomena, such as physical, biological or social. Cellular automata can be used to simulate population growth, spread of disease, tumor growth, decontamination, among other applications. This paper seeks to expand the theoretical limits on the process of decontamination of a two-dimensional lattice using cellular automata, as established by Daadaa (2012). Here we relax premises assumed therein and seek a better understanding of the characteristics of the rules involved as well as of the behaviour of the immunity time of the decontaminated cells. In order to do so, but since the initial conditions correspond to a very large space, massively parallel programming was employed using GPU, which allowed to evaluate a large number of possibilities. It was possible to identify two decontamination rules linked to each type of neighborhood studied (von Neumann and Moore), that generalise previous rules defined in the work we relied upon. In experiments made with the new rules, their superior efficacy became apparent for random initial conditions; it was also possible to assertain their effectiveness for uniform distribution of states. The general rules allow we developed allowed for a better understanding of the immunity time required to decontaminate a lattice. It was observed that the ratio between the immunity time and the lattice size is not linear, as suggested by Daadaa.
