Extension program: clinical, aesthetics and care policy

This paper presents the extension program “Clinic, Aesthetics and Care Policy”, denoting the various axes that are searched in this action. This program’s main objectives are to offer psychoanalitical orientation service to children and adolescents in psychological distress and their care takers as well as to foster the training of students and professionals in the clinical institutional work with this clientele, in an interdisciplinary perspective. It is conducted in partnership with the Centro de Referência à Infância (Childhood Reference Center) - INCERE, which provides clinical supervision. In 2015, still as an extension project, it held two study groups and two local symposia on related themes. As new activities for 2016, there are plans for the establishment and formalization of partnerships with other institutions, expansion and strengthenening of the service related to the social assistance network, as well as training in clinical management of processes. In its first year, in its various areas (clinical practice, supervision and administrative meetings), it was possible to discuss relevant current issues within the public mental health policy: the quarrel of diagnoses, fragility and disarticulation of psychosocial care network, childhood medicalization, importance of interdisciplinary work and inter-sectorial coordination for care

This research approach the health promotion and surveillance actions carried out by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) for the benefit of its employees. It is presented the Quality of Life at Work Coordination and projects implemented by the Division of Psychosocial Support (DiAPS), especially those that compose the Health and Welfare at Work Program. Then, with bibliography based on the laws and theories about National Policy on Health and Safety at Work of the Federal Civil Servants (PASS), the program’s actions and its challenges in the University are explained with emphasis on the health promotion and surveillance axis. The research has exploratory and descriptive approach. It was concluded that DiAPS has social projects that are aligned with legal norms related to health care policy of the federal public work. Its actions give support to the debate about the health-disease process and about social and epidemiological profile of the servers of the Academic Unit. As challenges, there is a need for quantitative participation of the servants on the projects, expansion of multidisciplinary framework and greater “capillarity” of activities undertaken in relation to the geographical areas of the University.

Freire, Dercirier. Paranoia and crime: of the right to psychoanalysis.

Undoubtedly, wanting to think of crime from two fields of knowledge, Law and Psychoanalysis, is not an easy task, since what is at stake is the concept of madness, which in turn implies the question crucial as regards the responsibility or otherwise of an act. Legal theory relies on psychiatry, inasmuch as the fate of the perpetrator of the criminal act depends on an award given by a forensic psychiatrist. Imputable if diagnosed as "mentally ill."Or Guilty if it is considered considered sane. The prison or the psychiatric hospital is the destination. Here comes not only the contribution of Dercirier's book, but also his proposal: why does not law take into account what psychoanalysis has to say about madness? This is the unwritten but implicit question between the lines. For psychoanalysis there is no normal / abnormal dichotomy, but structures. There are structures: psychosis, perversion and neurosis. Moreover, for psychoanalysis every individual is responsible for his actions. That is: unlike Law, in every action practiced by man, regardless of his clinical structure, there is a subjective implication. But from the point of view of law, madness exempts the author from his act, gagging his speech and cloistering him, most of the time, even to death, in a mental asylum.

Precision between judges for a new Wartegg test codification system

Among necessary psychometric parameters for psychological testing is precision, which, in general, indicates results consistency. Agreement between judges is a way to verify that parameter, expressed in an index that informs the degree of protocols evaluated by different professionals. Aiming to check the agreement between judges for Wartegg test, this study counted on four judges evaluating eight protocols independently (blind review). Results indicates kappa coefficients varying from 0,23 to 0,74 for the protocols, and, for some variables values where higher. In a general way, although a good degree of agreement might be found trough judges evaluations for some criteria, others showed not being clear enough. In this sense, it is needed to reformulate those criteria which were evidenced as bad ones in order to improve the proposed system.

The pillars of resilience observed in psychomotor practice

In this paper, we describe a study in which systematic observation was used to investigate the promotion of resilience in psychomotor practice. The work is part of a larger study titled "The promotion of resilience in the established bond between adolescents and educators" (http://hdl.handle.net/10803/96515) of theoretical and practical aspects of resilience analyzed within the context of the relationship formed between a small group of adolescents and their psychomotor therapist. We describe an innovative methodological approach that involved the construction of an ad hoc observation instrument to analyze the promotion of pillars of resilience within a series of psychomotor practice sessions.

Sexual orientation and inclusion: a case study in a retail organization in Fortaleza

Diversity management in organizations is an emerging topic in organizational studies, although there are still some taboos. It is observed some forms of diversity where invisibility is possible and least studied than most of visible forms, such as gender or ethnicity. Studies point to a growth of publications that analyze discriminations suffered by individuals of different sexual orientation in the organizational environment, while emphasize that sexual diversity has been little studied in Brazil. There is still discrimination before hierarchically higher positions, showing the use of stereotypes and prejudices that undermine self-esteem and lead to feelings of exclusion. These aspects were highlighted in this article from the perception of inclusion in a retail organization in Fortaleza, Ceará, from the perspective of sexual orientation of the respondents. Ten male professionals reported on the perception of sexual orientation and sense of belonging in the organization they work for. This research has qualitative, descriptive and exploratory focus, obtaining data through interviews. Main results show that business speech are ineffective due to ingrained prejudice, poor management permissiveness and lack of collective sense of diversity. Minorities and non-minorities demonstrated prejudice and discriminative attitudes among themselves, showing difficulties regarding differences.

Adorno, Giorgio Agamben and Judith Butler. In the form of an essay, this article was divided into four parts, which present: a) the contextualisation of the diary, b) the (auto)biography of Maura Lopes Cançado, c) the narratives about the condition of her hospitalization at the Hospital Gustavo Riedel, And d) the appointments about what can be apprehended concerning the narrative of the author. Phenomenology in Carl Rogers’ works: notes for the brazilian scenario

We analyze the Carl Rogers’ relationship with the Phenomenology according to a historiography perspective that examines the occurrence of citations and references that he made to philosophers of phenomenological orientation. Rogers’ works were organized in chronological order of publication and read conform to selective and interpretive reading techniques. Rogers mentioned five philosophers of phenomenological orientation: José Ortega y Gasset, Paul Tillich, Simone de Beauvoir, Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Martin Heidegger. Of these, only Heidegger is actually worked in a text about teaching and the other philosophers proceeds of indications and citations from other authors. In the books which Rogers makes references aboutphilosophers there is no discussion about the Phenomenology; but there are texts in which Rogers talks about Phenomenology without citing phenomenologists. The Phenomenology that Rogers mentioned is not the philosophical one, which he had reservations about, but it is an American paradigm of empirical science and personality studies. Despite this, there is a development in Brazil a post-Rogerian movement of philosophical phenomenological orientation. Finally, we pondered some observations aboutwhat distinguishes the Brazilian movement from that paradigm contacted by Rogers in the USA.

“It was obvious that this would happen”: consideration about the hindsight bias

Hindsight bias is the phenomenon of perceiving and evaluating events differently once they are occurred. Given a cognitive flaw, people tend to have distortions of memory and produce false sensations of inevitability and predictability. The objective of this work is to make a literature review of the hindsight bias and to discuss both theoretical and practical implications of the theme. A search conducted in the Brazilian’s main databases did not find any articles related to the topic. From a selection of the main international studies on the subject, an analysis was made showing the cognitive levels of the hindsight bias, its implications and the strategies used to attenuate the bias. In the final considerations, the impact and importance of day-to-day knowledge of the phenomenon and the need to explore the subject in national research are discussed.
