Neste artigo procuramos demonstrar parte da relação conflituosa entre catolicismo e espiritismo no contexto do primeiro centenário espírita. Tais conflitos são evidenciados através da análise de discursos católicos publicados na Revista Eclesiástica Brasileira no ano de 1956, quando foi anunciada a Cruzada de Defesa da Fé Católica no I Centenário do Espiritismo, que ocorreria no ano seguinte. Compreendemos esta relação de disputas simbólicas como integrante da dinâmica do campo religioso brasileiro na segunda metade do século XX, sendo que ao publicar discursos religiosos contrários às práticas espíritas a Igreja Católica construía representações acerca do espiritismo que podem ser apreendidas através dessas publicações.

O fado, gênero musical considerado canção nacional em Portugal, apresenta trajetória histórica cuja origem remonta ao início da segunda metade do século XIX. Desde pelo menos o último terço dos oitocentos, observa-se, nas primeiras obras dedicadas à história do fado, o aparecimento de um debate acerca do status de símbolo nacional atribuído ao gênero. É, contudo, no final dos anos 1920 e início dos 1930 que se observa uma série de elementos responsáveis por atribuir carga simbólica e identitária ao fado, capaz de consolidá-lo como identidade nacional portuguesa. Através de conjunto de fontes que contempla legislação, obras literárias e jornalísticas e jornais de temática específica, este trabalho analisa as características do cenário musical fadista em Portugal durante o período de 1927 a 1933, destacando um processo de ritualização das práticas artísticas que objetivava dignificar o gênero mediante às diversas camadas da sociedade. A pesquisa sustenta-se na discussão em torno dos conceitos de nação e identidade nacional, a fim de definir o fado como alma e destino do povo português, enquanto canção popular com status de canção nacional capaz de credenciá-lo como uma cultura comum.

El objetivo de este texto es describir la forma en la que los sastres Antonio Guedes Coutinho de Brasil e Ignacio Torres Giraldo de Colombia se transformaron en importantes articuladores de ideas de izquierda durante las últimas décadas del siglo XIX y comienzos del siglo XX. El texto se divide en cuatro secciones en las que se abordan: los contextos históricos de estos líderes obreros, la composición de las ideas de izquierda a partir de la concepción de libertad, las formas en que fueron apropiadas retóricamente estas ideas, y una conclusión en la que se presentan las diferencias y las similitudes de las actuaciones de los dos líderes obreros, quienes progresivamente se convirtieron en ideólogos de las clases obreras y populares.

Neste artigo investigamos as principais ideias do missionarismo protestante estadunidense, compreendendo de que maneira alguns autores como Johnatan Edwards e Josiah Strong influenciaram o pensamento das missões modernas, reforçando as idéias de excepcionalidade e providencialismo presentes no imaginário estadunidense. Por outro lado procuramos ressaltar que a construção do pensamento missionário está em mesma medida relacionado com as noções de progresso e civilização, na qual modernizar o mundo também passava por aspectos religiosos e morais. Com isto queremos salientar de que maneira esses pressupostos ideológicos podem lançar luz à atuação do missionarismo protestante no Brasil.

Este estudo tem como objetivo explicitar o contexto do Egito Antigo nos séculos XVIII e XIX e as conseqüências políticas, econômicas e culturais que permitiram que diversos viajantes e exploradores danificassem e saqueassem o patrimônio desse país, composto de diversas antiguidades entre objetos e monumentos. Além de analisar algumas implicações que todos esses fatores provocaram nos artefatos egípcios, esse trabalho aborda as principais atitudes adotadas para a conservação e preservação das mesmas.

Procuraremos demonstrar como o crítico e historiador do cinema brasileiro Paulo Emílio Salles Gomes, na obra Panorama do cinema brasileiro: 1896/1966 (1966), promoveu a transposição de crônicas do cinema brasileiro para uma história de nossa atividade cinematográfica, sobretudo com relação ao tema do nascimento do cinema brasileiro e ao conceito de Bela época aplicado a determinado período de nossa história cinematográfica.

The present work consists of a data analysis of a child in the process of language acquisition, under the enunciative perspective of Benveniste, extracted from the thesis of Silva (2007), which combines language acquisition and enunciation. The purpose of this analysis, as well as the choice by this theory, is justified by the author's interest in looking at what is singular and unique in children's speech, seeking, in and through analysis, to identify in which this theory presents advantages over And to make efforts to fill a gap in this area that is still so recent in the studies of both Language Acquisition and Benveniste's Enunciative Theory.

Observing the functioning of language, through the articulation between language and speech, theoretical construct and observable data, we seek to introduce a study of semantic character on the linguistic phenomenon expression of the condition. For this study, the theoretical apparatus chosen refers to Argumentative Semantics, which presents an innovative perspective, which essentially seeks in the domain of the word realized, the discourse, to understand and explain how the linguistic forms, when enunciated by a speaker, They are no longer mere forms: they unite and relate in the construction of meaning. For this reason the ANL was chosen, since the objective focuses on the explication of the meaning of the language by itself, making the external context secondary to the understanding of meaning. The ANL, more specifically TBS, which is its present moment, is based on the assumption that the argument is constitutive of the language, thus providing the necessary tools for this understanding of the meaning to be realized: through concepts like External and internal argumentation to the lexicon and the statement, and by the polyphony, in the identification of the enunciators present in the discourse and in the relationship of the announcer with these enunciators. The ANL also makes it possible to survey the threads present in the discourse in search of the arguments made by the speaker, and in the valuation of the language in use, whose key word is relation. In language, nothing is built in isolation, it is only in the relationship between words and between sentences that it is possible to enunciate all the diversity of imaginable senses.

The present article proposes a study on the translation process and its operation within the perspective of the polyphony of statements elaborated by Oswald Ducrot. To compose this study, we sought the source text and translations of a classic work by John Langshaw Austin, a language scholar who developed the Theory of Speech Acts. Through a brief analysis of different statements, we try to show that every text presents a plurality of subjects with different linguistic statuses, because the discourse carries meanings; Being the literal sense inadequate, since it treats the language and not its use, not recovering the sense of the source text. The non-perception of polyphony can lead the translator to make changes and deviations of meaning. It can be seen, therefore, that the author and translator have polyphonic meanings and that each of them leaves their mark when writing words in their language or revealing them carefully in another.

Several grammars have done studies on the articulator but. However, it is noted that in all studies of these grammars the mas is classified and separated from its linguistic context. In this separation, one ends by ignoring the possibilities of use and the argumentative value of the articulator, since his relations with the statements that precede and succeed him usually do not receive attention. By studying the relationships between words, utterances and discourses, the Theory of Argumentation in Language (ANL) was chosen to base this research. For the ANL, the argument is in the language itself, and not in facts outside the real world. Thus, meaning will be constructed by the relationship established between words, utterances and discourses strictly in the linguistic context. The area of Discourse Theories where the ANL is, thus, allows a contextualized analysis of the articulator in order to identify its argumentative value. The research aims to verify how the ANL studies the articulators in the discourse and to recover the antecedent threads and the subsequent threads to the mas.

O presente artigo tem como objeto de estudo a análise da trajetória do herói na obra O Reizinho Mandão, de Ruth Rocha. Inicialmente apresentar-se-á a biografia da autora e situar-se-á a obra no período de sua publicação. Em seguida, far-se-á um resumo da história para o entendimento da análise que se seguirá. Para o estudo da trajetória do herói, a base será a teoria de Carol Pearson, a qual apresenta os seis arquétipos que orientam a nossa vida, e a teoria de Vladimir Propp, que propõe diversas funções que o herói apresenta em uma narrativa. Com essa base teórica analisar-se-á a trajetória do personagem, o reizinho mandão, destacando os arquétipos e as funções que esse apresenta, ao longo da história.
