The present work tried to demonstrate that the novel O Evangelho segundo Jesus Cristo (The Gospel according to Jesus Christ), written by José Saramago, may be interpreted as a tragic vision of Jesus´ figure. It searches to pursue the concept of the classical and modern tragedy and the character of the hero, as well. The novel is involved by Saragamo`s Marxist conception of the world. He is interested in rescuing the human nature of Jesus and refutes his divinity. In the beginning of the novel Saramago points Jesus in search of his real nature whether he is a man or a god but according Saramago´s point of view Jesus´ humanity is the fundamental trace of his life.

At this work, we try to design a fast historical course of the Brazilian poetry for children, considering its publication since the end of the nineteenth century until the poetics constructions that could become concrete with the popularization of the computers and the internet: the ciberpoems. At first, we made a panoram that tries to suggest some significant changes the new techonologies brought to literature, especially to the relations that involve three elements that constitutes a literary system according to a social view of literature supported by Antonio Candido: writer, text and public. Following, through a historical course of poetry, we expose some aspects better evidenced on ciberpoems that had already been found in texts of different times and styles: visuality, sonority, movement and sinestesy. Finally, through the investigation of the historical of Brazilian literature for children, we present a fast analyse of Sérgio Capparelli s poems, writer who demonstrates in his work the transition of poetry between books and screens, showing the harmonic convivention between both that we are trying to suggest.

The enforcement of human rights is not limited by the argument of sovereignty making it difficult for external bodies to restore the domestic legal order, nor can it be left to the host States alone to finance the public reception policies of migrants and refugees, which is a global mission. To illustrate the inadequacy of international mechanisms in guaranteeing the effectiveness of human rights, Venezuela is the case study used to observe the actual local crisis being shifted to other states whose public services are burdened by the unforeseen population increase. Given this scenario, in this study, it has been analysed the national and international judicial documents produced, the official statistics on human mobility, the refugee reception programs as well as judicial decisions, doctrine of Constitutional Law, International Law, International Law of Human Rights and International Law of Refugees. It is expected to demonstrate here, that the application of the human rights is above any argument over sovereignty to obstruct the performance of external bodies for the restoration of the internal legal order and urgent humanitarian assistance, as well as it cannot be left exclusively to the States hosting the migrants and refugees the task of financing public policies alone, as this is a global mission.

The global competitive environment is forcing organizations to become lean and effective. As a result, a growing number of companies is looking for innovation to bring efficiency in their areas of operation to keep competitive. Higher Education Institutions - HEI, facing competition in the education sector, look for ways to differentiate themselves through the development of new teaching methods, more efficient processes and services with superior quality at affordable costs. In this sense, the present study aimed to assess whether the Innovation is a Competitive Advantage factor in Distance College in Brazil. It is a study of the sectional type, using mixed methods (Qual/Quant). Qualitative data were collected through structured interviews with twelve managers of distance learning courses and analyzed by categories of analysis using NVivo software. Quantitative data were collected through 117 questionnaires using scale adapted Cravo (2008) and analyzed using SPSS and SmartPLS software. Four constructs were identified on the scale of measurement of independent Technological Innovation variable (technological cutting edge, innovative posture, advantage in cost and risks associated with innovation) and five constructs in the variable measurement scale dependent Competitive Advantage (product development, incentives for participation and new ideas, internal base knowledge, isolation mechanisms and rarity of resources). Through factor analysis, we analyzed the correlation of technological innovation factors and competitive advantage, finding a correlation of 0.898 between these two variables.

This work has as study object the videogames and it s propose as a narrative creation media. Intends to define the concepts of narrative and game departing from a historical and contextual fundamentation. Through this, intends to align the technological revolution with the creation and evolution of the videogames, considering its social and philosofical implications about individual subjectivity and his possibilities of expression.

This work consists on the creation of the Bit Interleaved Coding And Modulation (BICM) stage of the Advanced Television Systems Committee 3.0 (ATSC 3.0) digital TV system in Software Defined Radio (SDR), using the GNU Radio Companion (GRC) tool. The study of the BICM stage allows performing simulations to verify the ATSC 3.0 error correction performance, something not yet implemented in GRC and has a huge potential for future work featuring the ATSC 3.0 system. To reach this objective, first the stages of the physical layer of the ATSC 3.0 system are introduced. After, the SDR technology and GRC tool are introduced. Then, the BICM stage is implemented on the GRC tool using the C++ programming language.

The conservation and restoration of mural painting conceived in this investigation from Carlos Paez Vilaró s painting restoration study, suggests reflections on intervention criteria and methods. The cutting out of the research tried to understand not just the theoretical material and multidisciplinary investigation, but the complexity inherent to the restoration of the artistic object in what refers to the challenges assumed by the restorer and all those that that have the custody of cultural assets. This research has been guided, in order to consolidate the relevant criteria, by selecting a mural painting offering discussions around the complexity of its implications in the choice of intervention criteria. Restoration was carried successfully, being subsequently redone under request of the painting owner. Such an event opened the discussion as for the criteria and concepts of restoration.

The Brazilian auto industry has always been the target of constant sectorial incentives from the government, both for its development and for the promotion of the economy in general. The main objective of this study is to analyze the performance of the automobile industry, from the perspective of the sale of vehicles, in front of the different sectorial policies, involving the discharge of the IPI rate, which was practiced between 2000 and 2017. For this purpose, starting for the characterization of the Brazilian auto industry market structure, the historical evolution of the sector was analyzed and the variables identified in the economic literature were analyzed too, which have an impact on the sales of light vehicles in Brazil. The empirical work on the sector, in general, converges to the variables income, vehicle prices, and credit. Thus, the present work first sought to correlate sales, using as a proxy the number of vehicles licensed in the period, with each one of thos e variables. Before that, sought to assess the impact on vehicle sales of different government sectorial policies, involving reduction of IPI rates between 2000 and 2017, using the Granger causality test. The results of the study revealed that, in addition to the strong relationship between car sales and the economic, income, price and credit variables, the incentive policies involving reduction of IPI were statistically significant for sales, with IPI having precedence over vehicle.

This work has as its aim to analyze the Art and Architecture modernism s trajectory consolidation aspects in Brazil, studing the period of time that goes from Modern Art Week (1922) to Education and Health Ministry building project formulation (1936), in order to verify what manner economic, political, social and, above all, cultural order happenings have contributed to the appearance of the brazilian modern architecture that would be, in the following decades, issue for eulogious international studies. In view of the relationship between historical process, it makes an analysis that surpasses by a panoramic vision and that, following chronologic narration order, it extracts distincts elements that have already been separately studied in knowledge areas as history, literature, sociology, arts, architecture, etc., in order to compose a frame to allow understanding the Ministry s episode inside our history time line. Taking the success reached by our modern architecture as a presumption which is a result of a happy conciliations between modernity and tradition, this research goes to indicate signs, not only from the political and economical moments, but above all, from the modernist intellectuality proceeding from 22 Week, specially from nationalist groups, that let the brazilian architects to think about an architecture with brazilian characteristics, different from the architecture produced in other countries and continents.

Introdução: A inclusão de pessoas com deficiência no mercado de trabalho é um assunto amplamente discutido, seja pelo caráter obrigatório imposto pela Lei de Cotas ou pela compreensão da responsabilidade social relacionada à promoção da igualdade entre todos os indivíduos. Atualmente, o censo estimou que 23,9% da população brasileira tenha algum tipo de deficiência (IBGE, 2010), no entanto, apenas 0,77% tem vínculo empregatício. Muitas empresas apresentam resistência em cumprir a Lei de Cotas por considerar baixa a escolaridade e a qualificação profissional dos candidatos com deficiência, sendo que 6,7% apresenta Ensino Superior Completo contra 10,4% para as pessoas sem deficiência. Para compreender essa realidade faz-se necessário reconhecer a longa trajetória de exclusão vivida por este grupo. Objetivo geral: compreender a experiência de trabalho de pessoas com deficiências com qualificação profissional que possuem vínculo empregatício. Método: estudo qualitativo de natureza exploratória. Foram realizadas duas rodas de conversas com 6 pessoas com deficiência de uma empresa privada da região metropolitana de São Paulo. Para a análise dos discursos foi utilizado o método hermenêutico-dialético. Resultados: Os entrevistados referiram que se não fosse a obrigatoriedade prevista em lei, as empresas não contratariam trabalhadores com deficiência. A possibilidade de crescimento de carreira é repleta de obstáculos, uma vez que ações de incentivo e retenção não são destinadas a esse público, fato atribuído ao desconhecimento por parte dos empregadores sobre as potencialidades das PcD. Foi identificado que a responsabilidade pelas adaptações é depositada nos indivíduos, no sentido de que estes se adaptam à organização do trabalho e não o contrário, sendo este fenômeno cercado por uma noção de superação, muito valorizada pelas empresas e pelas próprias pessoas com deficiência. Referem preconceito por parte das empresas e reproduzem diante de outros tipos de deficiência, sendo a deficiência física percebida como “mais branda” do que a intelectual. Conclusão: Ainda que as pessoas com deficiência tenham ensino superior ou especialização não são reconhecidas pelos empregadores pela qualificação profissional. É imprescindível que as empresas criem políticas de inclusão e gestão de diversidade, de forma que esse público não seja somente inserido nas organizações em um caráter tutelar, mas que seja desenvolvido e valorizado a fim de elevar a sensibilização quanto à promoção de diversidade para as empresas e para a sociedade.

This master's thesis presents and analyzes the production of the architect Francisco M.L. Petracco (1935, within São Paulo modern architecture in the 1950s. This survey has listed nearly 300 works attributed to the architect and has also formed a database by doing a residential project filing of Petracco’s works. The paper consists of four parts, divided into chapters: the first chapter presents the work of the Architect, emphasizes his academic formation, intends to clarify the relevance of studying the work of such an architect and presents his major works; the second chapter explains the filing process of residences projected by the Architect, the production of residential projects, seeking to classify them into types; the fourth chapter, in which the research seeks to characterize the gesture in this Petracco’s projectproduction; and finally, the last part consists of the subsequent chapters, in which the residential projects of Casa Vicente Izzo (1975), and Samuel Rothenberg (1982), chosen as case studies, among other selected residential buildings belonging to the period of the 1970s and 1980s, the most productive of the Architect, have been analyzed.

The board of directors is a central element of the corporate governance and its focal point lies on the monitoring of the organization management. In order to get a better governance process, one has to consider the improvement of the boards of directors. Its attributes in terms of structure, composition and characteristics have been taken into account in the academic researches in the different aspects that affect the corporate decisions. More recently, the diversity of the boards has been the theme for discussions both in the academic and in the corporate environments. The concept of diversity has a broad understanding and comprises not only the gender and ethnic variety, but also the diversity of the cultural, social and professional aspects, such as the age, nationality, educational backgrounds and professional experience. The aim of this research is to contribute to the understanding of the influence of the boards on the corporate policies based on the analyses of the effects of the board diversity on the decisions of the firm financial policies. This empirical research was based on the top 100 firms in terms of shares traded in the stock exchange of BMF&Bovespa, using a data panel from 2010 to 2014. The proxy for the board diversity was defined by means of an index, which includes the structural, social and functional diversity of the board members of the firm samples. The results of this research suggest that this diversity is positively associated with the leverage ratios of the firms. The board diversity allows better monitoring by the board on the management and is related positively with the firm leverage, in line with the effects of the reduction of managerial entrenchment by means of stronger monitoring.
