This work, which is a research about the meanings of the word ethic according to the interpretation of Max Weber, in his book A Ética Protestante e o Espírito do Capitalismo, demonstrates the great divergence of meanings in the usual as well as philosophical sense of ethic. It is an analysis of its uses, since its Greek origin until the current days, in order to prove there is not specific definition for it, unless all its multiplicity of meanings are taken into consideration. Initially, the focus is in the problematic of Weber´s book and its solutions, otherwise it could not be understood. However, before inquiring the main subject, there is a comparison between the terms ethics and moral, and the conclusion that Max Weber makes an evident and clear distinction between them. Then, bearing this in mind, the subject matter itself can be mentioned. The conclusion is that, according to Max Weber, ethic is a methodological rational regulation, a systematization of means in relation to ends, without any connection with goodness or badness, freedom or any other metaphysical entity. What must be considered is the influence of regulation in the formation of permanent and intrinsic characteristics of character, psychological disposition which determines the human act.

This thesis aim to study the normative administrative procedure in Brazil and its effects on the organization of economic activity. The corresponding legal mechanism in the United States Law is used as an example of efficient public policy. This research brings the analyses of how the regulatory environment can be a fundamental tool to foster innovation and to establish concrete bases to stimulate competition and licenses to operate from each economic and social entities.

The focus of this thesis is the influence of the Liberation Theology in protestant music made in Brazil during the decades of 1960, 1970 e 1980 and the possible reasons which this religion context had and still has difficulties in developing a song that treats themes related with social issues, like those which were purposed by the Liberation Theology. In relation to this kind of musical work produced in Brazil, authors like João Dias de Araújo, Jaci Maraschin and others are mentioned. This thesis also intends to stimulate a reflection on two theological legacies. The first one arrived in Brazil with the missionaries who came from United States in the beginning of the nineteenth century, and the second is the one left by the first hymn book edited in Brazil called Psalms and Hymns.

In his cultural hermeneutics, Mario Vieira de Mello suggests that a spiritual trait, called aestheticism, characterizes the Brazilian culture. This concept, originated in the transposition of elements, such as from an individual and subjective life to a collective and cultural life, of Soren Kierkegaard's philosophical existentialism, refers to a way of being in which the individual is attached to what is external and apparent. For Vieira de Mello, unlike other cultures that were forged in the context of the necessary tension between aesthetic and ethical principles, the Brazilian culture, for historical reasons and nation's voluntary choice, was possibly forged under the sole influence of the aesthetic principle, what would justify its strong ornamental nature. Considering Mario Vieira de Melo’s contribution to cultural hermeneutics, this work intends to verify if what he denominated as aestheticism of the Brazilian culture can be identified in the history of the Brazilian educational planning. As this is a comprehensive subject, the present study will focus on the discussions held around the idea of a National Plan of Education, considering the plans outlined in 1962 and in 2001. In undertaking this practical approach, this study intends to be engaged in academic debates about the relationship between education and culture, suggesting that when we consider the spiritual dimension influence of culture on education, we can enhance the understanding of its pedagogical dimension and the ways to face its dilemmas.

A violência sexual no Brasil foi considerada, por muito tempo, como crime atentatório à honra da vítima mulher e, principalmente, de sua família, bem como aos bons costumes e à moralidade pública - bens jurídicos, estes, intensamente vinculados aos valores religiosos e, portanto, merecedores de proteção estritamente conservadora. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho visa analisar de que maneira a legislação penal e o tratamento jurídico concedido pelos operadores de direito aos crimes de estupro, revelavam a desigualdade de gênero e sua influência na condução do julgamento, ao longo dos diversos Códigos e alterações penais. Além disso, serão analisadas as discriminações e estereótipos que permaneceram presentes no âmbito jurídico, seja na própria lei, nas obras doutrinárias, intrínsecos na atuação do Poder Judiciário ou na concepção popular sobre a violência sexual, mesmo após a modificação legislativa que passou a proteger não mais os costumes, mas a dignidade da pessoa humana.

O presente trabalho pretende ser o ponto de partida sobre a questão cultural coreana no Brasil. Através da pesquisa por entrevistas, imagens, mapas, texto e dados, desenvolveu-se um estudo para entender mais sobre a questão. O trabalho gira em torno do entendimento da vinda dos coreanos ao Brasil, a arquitetura da Coreia e a importância de uma edificação que valorize a cultura na cidade. Por fim, foi elaborado o exercício projetual de um centro cultural coreano localizado no bairro do Bom Retiro, procurando valorizar e expandir a cultura coreana no país.
