Phytosanitary and hepatic diseases in Brazil: A public health challenge in Brazil
The public health system of a population depends on its habits, genetics and the environmental conditions. In Brazil, the economic politics is dependent on the agrobusiness, which supports the utilization of phytosanitary and/or agriculture defensives, which may be negative to the ecosystem and to the population health conditions. Those chemical compounds became accepted worldwide during the Green Revolution at the 60’s. In Brazil several agriculture defensives are sold, which controls agriculture plagues; however, they cause damages to the environment and to the non-target organisms. Then, considering the pathologies that affect people, hepatic diseases can be caused by the indiscriminate use of phytosanitary. Those pathologies are classified by the World Health Organization as one of the top 10 causes of deaths in different countries, caused by different etiologies and, among them, drugs and environmental toxicants have to be considered. As the liver pathologies establishes in a body, those anomalies may progress to a more deleterious state and even cause patient’s death. However, no effective treatment is available to the hepatic diseases. The only recommended procedure to reduce the symptoms of the disease is the change of life style, as the reduction of chemical compounds exposition. In this context, more attention to the public politics and population habits in using phytosanitary have to be considered as an important tool to control and/or revert liver diseases. Then, in this study, we present the agriculture defensives largely used in Brazil, as the adverse side effects of the chemicals to the hepatic health.

Relationship of anxiety and stress in academic performance in evaluations under active methodology
This study aims to analyze the relationship between anxiety and stress in the performance of dental students in evaluations under active methodology. It is characterized as cross-sectional and retrospective, with a quantitative approach developed through an electronic form, with 71 academics from the dentistry course using a participant identification form, the anxiety assessment beck inventory (BAI), and the stress perception form before, during and after the active methodology applied in their evaluations. A greater portion of students aged between 18 and 24 years (80.02%) was noticed, with between 1 and 3 hours of study a day (30.98%). As for the assessment of anxiety, a higher degree of moderate or severe anxiety (53.5%). However, in the analysis of the mean value attributed to stress, there was a predominance before and during the assessment, with a reduction after its completion (6.30±3.07; 6.73±2.85; and 3.42±3. 16, respectively). By establishing the correlation between the mean values of perceived stress and anxiety levels, a positive, moderate and significant correlation was observed in the three evaluated moments (p<0.05) and a significant difference was also obtained between the stress values during (A) and after the evaluation (B) with the grade values indicated by the students (A:[F(1,718) = 529.27; p> 0.037]; B:[F(10.24) = 569.7 ; p<0.001]). Therefore, the multifactorial perception of the influence on academic performance is reinforced, and stress and anxiety can be stimulants or blockers of this performance, and it is up to the teacher to use methodologies that encourage a result closer to the student's learning reality.

Identifying and observing the alcoholic fermentation of yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisiae): a simple and low-cost experiment in the discipline of Biology
In the literature, several authors argue that classes based on the merely expository mode can be a major obstacle in the teaching and learning process, since this teaching methodology can cause demotivation in students, leading to an attention deficit during classes. To overcome these obstacles, alternative teaching methodologies, such as the use of experimental classes, emerge as a methodological alternative of great impact on the guiding process of teaching and learning, allowing to facilitate the contextualization of the content to be learned by students. In this sense, using simple and low-cost materials, such as instant dry yeast, sugar, xylitol and powdered extract of dry Stevia leaves, the main objective of this article is to propose an experimental class in order to facilitate learning. of students in the discipline of Biology in High School, regarding the mechanism of anaerobic cellular respiration (alcoholic fermentation) of yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). As main results, students will be able to perceive that only the treatment of cup number 2 (warm water, dry biological yeast and common sugar), a reaction will occur, with a great fermentative metabolism of the yeasts, with the formation of ATP, air bubbles ( release of carbon dioxide) on the surface of the glass and ethanol, which will be noticeable through a characteristic sour aroma. In this way, we believe that the proposed experimental activity, together with the discussions and problematizations guided by the teacher, can impact teaching in a more positive way, facilitating student learning, in addition to promoting the perspective of scientific experimentation.

Non-Carious Cervical Lesions and risk factors in Brazilian athletes: A cross sectional study
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of Noncarious Cervical Lesions (NCCL), Cervical Dentin Hypersensitivity (CDH) and Gingival Recession (GR) and their associated risk factors in athletes. Methodology: A questionnaire was used to obtain basic information. An evaluator clinically examined all subjects. Statistical analysis was performed using Poisson multiple regression with robust variance, and the prevalence ratio and confidence intervals (95%) were calculated. Results: The final sample consisted of 264 athletes of different sports (7285 teeth). The present study found that the type of sport and weekly training time are important factors. Athlete’s ages ranged from 17 to 46 years (mean: 20.33 years). Majority of the athletes were males (90.46%). The teeth most affected by NCCL were the first upper premolars (29.35%), and the prevalence of NCCL increased with age. The prevalence of NCCL, CDH, and GR was 17.42%, 35.35%, and 59.09%, respectively. The linear regression shows that the most important risk factor(s) for NCCL was age, training hours, stress, excessive brushing force and orthodontic appliance; for CDH were age, education, type of sport, training hours and acid diet; and for GR were age, income, education, type of sport and excessive teeth brushing. Conclusion: It must be understood that the presence of all elements are factors capable of destabilizing the athlete's daily life. Athletes have risk factors that are closely related to the onset and progression of the disease. It is necessary that the dentist knows prevention and minimization measures.
