This research looks at the processes of construction of youth identities. We intend to reflect on the various mechanisms of cultural and political action promoted through media resources, mobilized by young participants of audiovisual creation workshops in civil society organizations, in the suburbs of São Paulo City nowadays. The daily experiments made by these young people through audiovisual recordings, in multiplier institutions which provide them with the knowledge and tools needed, contribute to promoting changes in personal relationships, sociability values as well as to a redefinition of identities day by day. These young people, in varying degrees of organization, build collective identities, get organized in a spirit of solidarity, hold dialogues, recognize themselves as entitled to rights and also as citizens and agents of change in society. We attempted to use an interdisciplinary methodological approach in a perspective related to topics of the areas of Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Discourse Analysis, Languages, History and Sociology, with regard to the dynamics of identity construction processes and social interaction, and urban sociability, for they question the different forms of resistance, as well as the process through which new values, behaviors, identities, new forms of political and cultural action are built.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the adoption of fair value as a measurement method of biological assets, specifically poultry and pigs, as required by IAS-41 and CPC-29, is more appropriate than the cost of acquisition and/or formation within the reality of the Brazilian market through: (1) confirmation of the existence of an active market, (2) measurement of these assets at fair value highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the methodology, (3) comparison between the values measured through the historical cost and fair value, (4) identification of the appropriated method to measure biological assets for production, and (5) analysis of the improvement or not of the comparability of financial statements of companies in the poultry, pork and beef agribusiness, after the adoption of IAS-41 and CPC-29. In order to achieve such objectives an exploratory research was developed, in which the data was collected through literature research, interviews, observation and document analysis. According to its representation in the agribusiness sector, BRF Brasil S.A. was chosen to be analyzed as experimental study case. The results of the analyzed data were: (1) that there is no active market for poultry and pork in Brazil, (2) that the method of fair value measurement requires the adoption of biased assumption regarding the allocation of the profit margin to the agriculture activity and subjective assumption related to the discount rate for the biological assets within the scope of this study, (3) that specifically, as a result of BRF s experimental study case, the difference between historical cost and market value is not material, (4) that the adoption of fair value as a method of measurement of biological assets for production causes distortion in the financial statements, and (5) comparability of financial statements was impaired after the adoption of IAS-41 and CPC-29. Hopefully, the results achieved will contribute to market professionals, academics, legislators and non-government authorities in improving the quality of financial statements.

The Compliance area has been gaining more and more space in the corporate world, whether in public or private institutions, and among the individuals that constitute the society. There are several reasons that drive this growth in the area and, consequently, in the number of professionals who work in it. Among these reasons, it is possible to highlight national and international laws, although they do not always require the implementation of Compliance Programs, they end up encouraging it by mitigating penalties in the case of the existence of an effective program, recommendations of good Corporate Governance practices made to companies. and the professionals who work in it, Codes of Conduct and corporate policies and also, in an even less expressive but also relevant way, the genuine or purely commercial need to demonstrate the commitment to ethics and integrity in societies and, consequently, in the form doing business. Throughout this scenario, and considering the performance of Compliance on a daily basis, it is not uncommon the perception that the area harms or hinders the commercial performance of institutions, since, among other situations, it may cause an increase in documentation, processes and procedures, which can eventually be perceived as exaggerated, bureaucratic and unnecessary. If, on the one hand, it is possible to say that the area has been gaining more and more space within corporations, receiving some type of internal or external recognition and appreciation due to social concern, on the other hand, it is a fact that this expansion has among its main and real ones justifications for the commercial incentive due to the reduction in the fine amount of any conviction for improper practices, or the fact that Compliance can boost the accountability of company managers if they do not take recommended measures, and formally communicated by the Compliance department , Ethics and Integrity or equivalent name, which have the objective of avoiding the commission of crimes by these institutions. Due to all these aspects that directly or indirectly impact the performance of Compliance, this study aims to identify which are the ethicalinstitutional business conditions that need to be present in a company or organization so that the Compliance professional who works there, commonly called a Compliance Officer, manages to act responsibly and effectively, resulting in the proper and successful implementation of the Compliance Program and thus boosting business ethics. To better develop this objective, this study seeks to gather information about the phenomenon of Corporate Governance, in Brazil and in the world and its importance, as well as to present how Compliance acts as one of the arms or tools of the Governance tools.

Approaches the movement called New Calvinism which was established by the North American media as one of the 10 ideas changing the world. Analyses the birth of the movement and its appearance in important North American media outlets such as Time Magazine and New York Times. Relates the main theological and practical points of the movement as well the authors which are most associated with New Calvinism and the main spheres of influence of the movement. Compares New Calvinism with Traditional Calvinism, emphasizing the continuity and the discrepancies the most recent movement with its predecessor. Establish the real backdrop of the movement as well as its main appeals to the modern day and age. Evaluates the psychological and social aspects of the movement and notes the small influence it has on society and culture and seeks to point out the potential that New Calvinism has to dialogue with the modern age. Supplies theological material for complementation in light of Kuyper's ideas. Concludes that New Calvinism has not yet truly influenced the world in a lasting way, but it surely points a possible way to do so.

Assunto: Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de aproveitamento da oportunidade para empresa de consultoria especializada em tecnologia da informação , adotando uma estratégia diferenciada para oferta de serviços - projetos IoT, com foco nos segmentos de varejo e agronegócio. O momento que a empresa atravessava, com queda no volume de vendas, por consequência da Covid 19, suscitou o interesse pela busca de alternativas para reversão do quadro. Por meio de pesquisas contratadas foi observado que apenas 2,5% do mercado potencial estava sendo atendido pelas consultorias com projetos IoT. Também foi demonstrado um maior interesse para essa modalidade de projetos nos segmentos de varejo e agronegócio. Aplicação: Algumas importantes mudanças aconteceram durante o desenvolvimento do trabalho, como por exemplo, adoção de propostas da área de Digital com uma abordagem mais estratégica e um maior envolvimento da área de marketing no processo de vendas. Outra foi a área de suprimentos, com o aprofundamento das soluções ofertadas aos clientes, assim como a liberação e compartilhamento do banco de dados internacional de projetos para a empresa no Brasil. Impacto: Com a aplicação da proposta espera-se que proporcione aumento do Market Share dos clientes da Consultoria XYZ, por meio de diferenciais competitivo s, consequentemente proporcionado àqueles aumentos de receita e lucro. Também é esperado que os parceiros de negócio (fornecedores) tenham seus produtos colocados como prioridade nas soluções IoT, posicionando de forma destacada nesta modalidade de projeto. Para a Consultoria XYZ é esperado um aumento no volume de vendas e da receita, maior participação no Market Share e reconhecimento pelo mercado como a principal consultoria de IoT nos segmentos de Varejo e Agronegócio, com maior valorização da marca. Inovação: A inovação da proposta está na oferta dos serviços de IoT com a opção de duas alternativas para atender às necessidades dos clientes. Uma delas, a pré-configurada, tem o foco em solucionar os problemas e aproveitar as oportunidades em curto prazo, por meio de soluções padronizadas. A outra, com a solução sob medida, o foco será mais consultivo diante de necessidade menos urgentes. Complexidade: No início do levantamento das informações, foram constatados diversos focos de resistência nos mais diversos níveis da organização, sendo superados com muita comunicação, envolvimento das áreas e atuações pontuais do sponsor do projeto. O processo de aprovação do plano junto à matriz na Europa foi o que causou a maior dificuldade ao longo de todo o trabalho. O aspecto positivo foi a participação efetiva dos clientes na ocasião da pesquisa sobre suas necessidades, que contribuiu significativamente para a definição da proposta deste trabalho. Método e procedimentos metodológicos: A base utilizada para a elaboração do trabalho foi a metodologia para a solução de problemas e o aproveitamento de oportunidades, com o encadeamento das ideias de forma concisa e estruturada, seguindo um processo em etapas, iniciando pelo entendimento da oportunidade , diagnóstico da oportunidade, proposta do aproveitamento da oportunidade, plano de ações, intervenção, avaliação e considerações finais.

O objetivo desta obra é compreender a manifestação do terrorismo na sociedade e dissecar seus elementos caracterizadores, apontando que o crime é uma lógica insurrecional dos grupos comumente marginalizados na formação do processo social que, através da violência direcionada, chama atenção para demandas reprimidas e ignoradas pelo Estado. Será posto o esforço da comunidade internacional em chegar a um consenso sobre a tipificação do terrorismo, visando apresentar razoável definição indicativa aos países que desejam criminalizar em seu ordenamento jurídico as consequências psicossociais oriundas desse fenômeno. Sobreleva notar que o terrorismo, por não ser propriedade de nenhuma ideologia ou movimento, pode ser expediente utilizado por qualquer grupo minimamente organizado e estruturado para cometer atos com a finalidade de incutir terror social ou generalizado. Assim, do mesmo modo que um espectro maligno se apodera de um corpo insepulto, caberá responder se determinadas ações violentas desencadeadas pelas máfias podem ser caracterizadas como terrorismo e, ainda mais, se a legislação brasileira, sob a égide da lei 13.260/16 colimada a lei 12.850/14, é capaz de criminalizar como terrorismo a violência especializada das facções criminosas que dominam o sistema penitenciário doméstico. O método de pesquisa empregado é ostensivamente qualitativo, fazendo incursões no direito alienígena e fundamentando a argumentação através da doutrina selecionada.

In this work the properties of the reinforced structural concrete with polypropylene treated bamboo fibers were studied and they were compared with the properties of the structural concrete without addition of fibers and with the addition of steel fibers. Much has been studied regarding reinforced concrete with different fibers. Among the natural fibers, bamboo fibers are among those that present a good mechanical performance and can be compared to steel. One of the factors that prevent its indication for its use in the construction industry is due to the fiber's water absorption capacity, which results in the loss of the mechanical properties of the fiber and, consequently, of the concrete. In order to decrease the water absorption by the fibers, they were treated with polypropylene (PP) in solution, to waterproof the fiber and to guarantee the resistance to the requested stresses of the structural concrete. Three types of structural concrete were obtained: structural concrete without fiber addition, structural concrete with 8 % by volume addition of bamboo fibers, and structural concrete with 8 % by volume addition of steel fibers. The different types of concrete were characterized by mechanical, morphological and microstructural tests. The partial results showed that the different types of concrete can be classified as excellent and that the concrete containing steel fibers is more resistant although the reinforcement matrix interaction was higher for the concrete obtained with bamboo fibers coated with PP.

With the intent of better understanding and defining how large scale public spaces, in which esthetic connotation is based on form, are formed first as a concept and then physically, shall be presented in this work questions regarding the different classes of structural systems, construction materials, construction techniques, design techniques, as well as the cultural streams which have been a major influence on projects where the most representative architecture reveals itself.

O presente projeto teve como principal finalidade elaborar um livro-reportagem sobre a paixão dos torcedores de futebol no Brasil e suas inúmeras nuances. O esporte em questão tem um impacto muito grande na sociedade brasileira desde o Século XX, quase por inteiro. Tornou-se parte e representação da cultura no país, ao mesmo tempo que, pela facilidade da sua prática, é acessível desde a pequena idade. O seu desenvolvimento como atividade de massa fez com que clubes construíssem histórias centenárias e criassem vínculos emocionais quase que inabaláveis com milhões de pessoas. Essa relação entre clubes de futebol e torcedores é exatamente o tema do projeto, que mostra algumas das maneiras como tudo isso é representado na vida dos fãs do esporte e que impactos isso tem nas suas vidas pessoais. O processo de produção envolveu inicialmente o estudo sobre a história do futebol e de torcidas no Brasil, em seguida foram feitas as entrevistas para conhecer com detalhes a trajetória dos personagens como apaixonados por aquelas equipes. A união das histórias, separadas por temas em comum, culminou no livro-reportagem.

This study looks to analyze the theme: Economic Freedom and Human Development, based on the concepts of economic freedom and development and in the several studies that seek to identify this relation. To analyze this relationship, the countries that make up Latin America were chosen to identify the relationship between economic freedom and human development for this region. For this, the economic freedom index of the Fraser Instiute, the Index of Human Freedom developed by Ian Vasquez and Tanja Porcnik (2016) and the Human Development Index (HDI), calculated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for the period 2008-2014 for Latin America using panel data analysis technique. After observing the data, it was identified that the relationship between economic freedom and human development is low, suggesting that other variables interfere in this process. Therefore, it is indicated studies that can analyze other variables that may help in this relation.

This work aims to understand how architecture can contribute as a modifying element socioeconomic, through an intervention of degraded areas lacking basic infrastructure. The research aims to focus on the study of buildings that house educational and cultural activities and their impact on the urban environment in which they operate, in case of Centros Educacionais Unificados - CEU's (Unified Educational Centers), in São Paulo, and Parques Bibliotecas (Parks and Libraries) in Medellin, Colombia. In both cases, the study sought to understand the relationship of the building with its surroundings, especially with regard to the appropriation of users through the complex and changing urban landscape, access to infrastructure and equipment for culture and leisure, favoring the reduction in the violence and improving the quality of life of local people.

Algorithms for solving the classical optimization problem called traveling salesman problem are proposed. These algorithms are inspired on the fact that synapses connecting biological neurons can be altered as the time passes in function of the neuronal activity. Thus, analogies between neurons and cities to be visited by the salesman and between roads and synapses coupling neurons are made. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated by comparing the lengths of the paths produced by them with the length of the optimal solution. The results obtained in experiments performed by using randomly-generated instances and ten instances from a public database suggest that this is a promising approach.
